  1. We've always enjoyed extreme winters. Helps keep the riff raff out! πŸ˜‰πŸ‘Œ
  2. Dude offering a possible trade for ramps or money. Nah...Sometimes wide angle pics can look weird. Looks fine to me
  3. One owner and look to be in outstanding shape. You just don't see older speakers in this sort of condition very often. I have never listened to the original Chorus, but we'll keep our II's for the long haul. Won't last long I bet..
  4. Just awesome man! Congratulations! Let us know when you get em' all set up! 🀝 And thank you for the post here, and Mark too! Yup, some great folks here. Klipsch owners since just kids and a forum member since June 1999. No better outfit. Have a great day. Now we have to go move more snow...geezz... πŸ™ƒ
  5. I did forget to add that we changed tweeter diaphragms in all 5 speakers to the Crites titanium ones. Just eventually wanted the exact ones across the board anyway. The left original tweet would make a slight crackle once in a great while, so I went ahead and swapped those finally as well a few years back. The last ones I swapped.
  6. Yes, they are mounted about 9 feet behind us and 7 feet up on wall. They are far enough away that they work beautifully towed in a bit and level (not tilted downward).. Tilted down or level made no difference. If we were closer to them, would have probably needed to tilt down some. Meter adjusted speakers across the entire room from seated position, meter set at 75 db. Beautiful sound! Those round 'horns' work great!πŸ‘Œ Amazing clarity and match for surrounds in our setup for sure.
  7. Ours are the 2.5 version. The only difference I am aware of is the pre-drilled for omni-mount brackets. You got a good deal on those for sure! Seems some folks sure trash speakers for some reason. Those are clean and were very reasonable. We've had ours for many years now. Well done Micklipsch ! Love em'
  8. "Did he really think this strategy was going to result in a price reduction? Of course, I didn't respond and, in fact, sold the AVR to someone else for my very reasonable asking price." Some folks can be real stool samples..just miserable. You handled that perfectly🀝
  9. We are obviously on the 'same page' John. πŸ‘Œ
  10. Thank you John. Yes. I used to do the oil changes etc..but last few years we've used a little family owned oil changer outfit in town. The son and their dad want both of our rigs. I think they mean it. Just cant sell these. We do try to take care of 'stuff' as well as clean when we can. It works.
  11. 'How many miles are on the meter?' Just under 180000. So far it's needed a clutch and throw-out bearing, a new radiator, new power steering pump, brakes of course.. the rest typical maintenance. The oil has been changed every 3000/4000 miles. Our part of the country is harsh in winters. My 2000 (also purchased new) Toyota pick-up has been a fantastic vehicle too. It is a 4wd and used for hunting/fishing etc so the undercarriage is a bit hammered but the rest in great shape. Best of all, they've been paid for so many years ago now. πŸ‘Œ 'Love them CDs in the door!' Right on, yeah we're classic rock types for sure 🀝 Trying to insure our grandkids get a bit of real music when they are visiting us. They love it too! 😁
  12. I don't handle these things very well. I fall apart. Thinking of you and am so sorry. ~ Mike & Kathy
  13. Added images (edit) Posted Wednesday at 09:12 AM "A friend in college got A WRX when they first came to the US in 2002. It was a fun car but the stock tires left a lot to be desired in the handling department." We purchased a brand new 2004 wrx off the truck and still drive it daily. She looks gorgeous in it still, but my old white hairy arse sitting inside it just doesn't look right in this anymore somehow. πŸ€” I look like her gramps. It is black and still in amazing condition. Fantastic for living (most of our lives) in mountains and snow. We purchased when we were still in our 30's. My four wheel drive pick up not nearly as capable in snow and ice. Young folks constantly walking up asking to sell to them. Anyway, It's been the best/dependable rig we've ever owned. Wife loves this car a LOT. edit: I'll take a pic and add it once we get the snow/road grime cleaned up. Very proud of the condition of her car. edit: Finally cleaned up the car. Now comes the rain and snow again of course. Perfect rig for dodging deer, elk etc etc. ignore the deer pile in the gravel there.... it's everywhere. Have a great evening~
  14. Those heresy's look NICE. But remember... 'build back better' πŸ€£πŸ‘Œ Grandbabies staying with us a few days. Love that! After returning from the grocery store and looking at what we bought, I told them they were our lil' drains in our economy. (sometimes, all you can do is laugh) It's awesome! Have a great Monday~

  16. The very best to you and yours as well Marvel. 🀝
  17. God Bless and get well 🀝
  18. Wuzzer: 'It’s almost impossible to be an armchair home theater calibration person. Everyone’s rooms and setups are totally different, you’ll just have to keep tweaking it until you’re satisfied with the results.' On target 🎯 . It sounds like you have a good grasp on how 'things' are supposed to work on an atmos setup.....so just keep at it. We've re-checked and adjusted off and on for years, even if a chair had been moved or placed. I have no experience on the newer set up options on todays gear at all...so sticking with our old dts master hd/dolby true hd standard for our 5.3 outfit here. The biggest help for us has always been our old radio-shack analog db meter. Even after an in-receiver auto check up. That and speaker/sub positions, seating. In a living room makes it even more tedious at times.. πŸ˜… billybob: 'First I would place the 2 rear surrounds at equal distance from the listening position. Also would have the distance from the center and front l/r equal as possible from listening position. That is inline with each other.' 🎯 Keep at it, and welcome !!! ~Mike
  19. Read those posts under the YouTube vid.. mostly very funny. It's always healthy to laugh. Oh..and I'd have changed those thin/bent terminals to horseshoes. I'd have fixed those sob's pronto!
  20. OK.. I went ahead and watched this 'review'. It should actually be a how to vid.. at least on the exact way to NOT position Klipschorns and that its not a good idea to place sheets of insulation on the front of the walls directly behind those speakers. Would love to have seen a wider view of that room too. I may be wrong on this. But hey...I might be right. πŸ€” Drove to the city and wanted to listen to a properly set up pair they had. Long ago now... They were in the corners (properly) of a good sized room inside a stereo shop. All I can remember now is that they completely amazed me. But...were too expensive then as they still are today for our income 'bracket'. Build back better!
  21. Was my dream speakers before the Heresys' and ChorusII's. They would never quite fit the room. Content anyway though πŸ‘Œ Someone did well.
  22. once again.....there was a make OFFER option.. you didn't notice I guess. No s Sherlock @ 680! πŸ˜† I DID bump my head a couple of times, but made sure to mention that offer bit regardless. We have purchased a few items over the years with that offer option.. for WAY less than start or buy it now. I'll leave ya alone πŸ˜‰... ~Mike
  23. I bet!! πŸ˜ƒ Will keep an eye out. No good images on this one, but can make offer here. I'd ask for good images etc etc.. the one very partial image of the back shows a filthy speaker. Bad sign............ https://www.ebay.com/itm/334720950774?hash=item4deeec61f6:g:TpcAAOSwftdicY9K&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA0CUuV4yzxZTM00VFfu%2FUhFRquZ99kLKX2vBfuT%2BLA3F711ukVetpDGKdEc%2BK7Cg9HvafbtCnUuGJNoaHsvtG5Cc%2FeEtVpe1VvzWtuK1nNKBu8P1Qq%2BHt3R9l8yVd%2F1mcrcQC3hGfqU9bx9mjmt2XL7dhEzire2wb7HaVl2IWe3maSDxHWWk9tngnOi6kvChBkB6GuPy%2FoCh%2BPrgCSAgl3F0nmW4JBABWvL55iN%2FMtxhDuexVWPtJg9qeRgWTlHPafvnLW%2BvlEqz0dU%2B%2Bg2%2FaNCk%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5yes5feYQ same people.. https://reverb.com/item/54522806-klipsch-klf-c7-center-speaker or https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649943857-klipsch-klf-c7-center-speaker-in-black-satin/ and an Academy...not as good a match though... https://reverb.com/item/66426826-klipsch-academy-1992-1994-black?gspk=SGlmaXNoYXJrLVJldmVyYg%3D%3D
