  1. you only have 1/2 of each speaker. together the parts make a pair of speakers that should be worth around $1000 + I couldn't put a price on just the bass horns.
  2. Looking at the specs, I say set it to a "solid +3dBu"
  3. Ok...no speaking for Klipsch...just for myself. I don't care for harmonic distortion, even or odd... I know what I like and if you were to set a Klipsch speaker system in place of the speakers shown in earlier pictures you could do the same or better job for less cash. There are things I like about many of the klipsch lines over the years. I agree, the Jubilee done right is about the best sounding speaker I have ever had the honor to hear. It took PWK a lot of time to get to that speaker. It took a lot of other engineers a lot of time to help provide PWK with the data he needed to get there. Get there he did. the point of diminishing returns...its different for most everyone.
  4. They told me 55 -65 per night...some rooms have frig and microwave.
  5. Hey Michael, Its all easy...jump on 57/55 south until you hit 40W....hang a left on 440 to 30 and exit on #31. Hotels are on your right....Not sure, but think I will be at the supper 8. Friday night most of the guys get together and hang out and listen to music on as many systems as they can. Sat morning about 9am we meet at the plant for tours and demos...then head out to lunch. About 3 or so we will fire up the pro gear at the festival. the show will go until about mid night. After party info to come later. Sunday, we may go for a motorcycle ride as others head home. Chi town is about 14-16 hr from Hope. Be sure to watch you gas gage on I-55 close to the river...there is not much out there and few gas stops. the farm house is a house that a local bank owns and rents out for events. As the date grows closer there will be maps and contact list sent out.
  6. If you guys don't want the place, I will save the money and not rent it.
  7. I booked the "Farm House" for Friday night for you guys to use if you want. The supper 8 has a room as well and they are offering rooms at a good rate. Some with frig and microwave. The local club will have live music and has extended an invite to any of you what are 21 and up to stop by. More info to come .... I would like someone to take the rains of the Friday night "thing" as I will have my hands full.
  8. That's why I like this place...the folks here are always ready to help a guy out. Thanks Team!
  9. Good advise. The bad part is there are no woofers left. I know of no correct replacement.
  10. I would ask where you got this unit...as the only units that did not have a tuner are the ones built for overseas sales. They use a different tuner than the US, so no tuner was added.
  11. Yes sir. We have IC product that will do the job. ......................................... http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/ks-7502-thx-overview/ ....................................... http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/cdt-5800-c-overview/ ...................................... http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/cdt-3800-c-overview/ .................................... http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/cdt-5650-c-overview/
  12. As there were 3-4 versions of the KLF networks...you need to understand which you you are looking at. I think the 30 is version 4, Not sure on the 20. Sure the KLF 20 could be use with a pr of 12's, but it would have to change to match level and crossover point and at that point it wouldn't be the KLF 20 network any longer. The answer to the klf 30 not having the resistor is that the mid is let through a bit more in the 30 so the TW needs to keep up. the mid has a bit different slope on the tweeter side of the curve. In the 20 the mid is blocked a bit more to match the 10" woofers thus the TW is level match. Parts are not used to add cost to the product, they are used to reach a goal. IF you have a different goal than the original speaker, then yes, changing parts will be needed. The small differences you see in the network makes a large difference in the outcome of the acoustic response. Warning: the drivers for the KLF line are NLA. we may have some of the HF drivers, but they will be $400 or so.
  13. Truth is we looked at doing both...we just do not have the man power.
  14. One thing is for sure Doc, I will be looking for help! New pro gear for the stage...(Steve will not have to make the trip with the 600 system again, but I sure hope he can make it to the event) I may be looking for some of you to help plan this years event. Does anyone have the "inside track" on any artist we could get to play the show? Pay is not great, but we have a good time.
  15. Getting Lee to talk is not the issue...getting him to stop is more the issue...
  16. Well It looks like we may be heading to Hope again this year. More to come next week.
  17. To all: To day I would like remind everyone that March 9th is the birthday of the founder of Klipsch and my friend, Paul W Klipsch. For those of us the knew him, remember him fondly. For those of us that did not, know that he was one hell of a guy. And that's no Bullshit. Happy Birthday Paul! Trey Cannon
