  1. Welcome to the forum ye who reside in granite state! Go Pats, yeah might as well be on the bandwagon although appears we're a just a bit of the minority here but its all good. I live in Westhampton and would be happy to audition my K402's for you. It'd be a good time, let me know when you're going to be in the area.
  2. Wow... this is really weird. Ha ha, I was just thinking about that older thread and voila! I can't believe this topic mysteriously shows up anew . What a great forum for the audio enthusiast. I also am interested in experimenting with a three channel hook-up. Please contact me regarding your mini box.
  3. I prefer more traditional chicago and southern style blues artists. A great weekly program is on WGBH : http://www.wgbh.org/listen/blues.cfm within last few months I have added Pee Wee Crayton, Jimmy Reed, Lonnie Johnson, Sonny Boy Williamson II cd's to my collection
  4. I vote yea. Your choice of color personalizes them an they still look tasteful! []
  5. I painted mine a copper color and rwas really happy how they came oou. I used a sharp artist brush though instead of loosening the horns.
  6. On the Klipsch forum Ole Buckster was instrumental in connecting me with a pair of Lascalas his friend owned in upstate New York. I was hoping he was was going to able to visit me in Mass to see what my Jubilles sounded like, he was planning on making a trip over last Spring... I really looked forward to meeting him in person. I am really I am sorry to hear the bad news thats hit you and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
  7. I tried them out based on Coytee's suggestion for a pair of right-angle XLR cables and was able to get them with the right angle plugs with each connection at the clock hand position to line up with intended position when connected. Great custom work IMO for fair price.
  8. This is a great article and helpful thread! Thanks for raising this question and please allow me to bring up another couple of questions that are related. Would the Y-splitter work coming out of a source such as a CD player and feeding the signal to two amps work as well as the scenario you descibed? Also, would the system generally sound better if I added a center channel to a two way system or adding two speakers say, to the rear of the listener that was split signal from the front L & R channel? I ask this because I do not have a multi-channel amp but would like to optimize use of more than two speakers?
  9. had a good sign tonight when I played the Carl Perkins song Blue Suede Shoes ... first time I've played the speakers in my wife's presence. My wife was helping one of our children doing homework and they both got up and started to dance seconds after the song started and they were about 35 ' way on the opposite corner of the room... I realized immediately that the Jubilees made a nice first impression. I had the volume half of what I would normally listen at too and the clarity not surprisingly was just wonderful from that far away []
  10. I'll make sure we hide all our the Top Crest cutlery when you're here. Ole Buck. I gotta warn you though, I may be a cupcake..., alright, but my wife she runs the place and not afraid to speak whatever's on her mind! Thats quite an offer from Coytee, I hoping he wins this one.
  11. Well I asked my 13 yo son what he thought and he just smiled and said they sounded really good. I haven't played them much while the rest of family been here at home though, yet.To me these speakers are a fantastic listening experience. I was using SS with the Lascallas and Cornwalls and they leaned toward the brighter side during certain moments, but the Jubilees seem to wrench so much passion out of each musical note with realism. They're just awesome sounding.. what can I say
  12. White stuff was changing to rain. Luckily, I just needed to take the slider off its track to clear the doorway and had about 1/4" clearance. I was happy I didn't have to remove boxes outside.
  13. Thanks. The help from Klipsch and everyone here on this forum made it easy
  14. !!! My post count exceeded the single digits!! Soon, at this rate, maybe I'll be able to keep up with the best! It took about an hour and a 45 minutes for three trips and to get the boxes into where it was warm. I did everything myself, actually easier than I thought and eveything went smoothly. Count of speakers in my home about 1 year ago: 3 prs ceiling mount, 6 prs wall mount, 1 pair inwall mount, 3 prs outdoor mount. Then came the Cornwalls and then the LaScallas. Ok, whats one more pair, my wife and three young kids probably won't even notice these when they get home
  15. I needed to bring these up the long driveway myself... Big trucks can't make it. Asked Kevin to take a shot before he parted. He understood and likened the moment to the restoration of a '74 corvette he bought. Ok, (2) KPT-KHJ-LF Jubilee Cabinets and the three drivers, (myself and the (2) KPT-402-HF w/ K69A's). I ordered them stock for home use, which is custom in a way, I guess
  16. OK, Thanks Bruce. I love these speakers, Ole Buck. This was the best audio purchase I have every made!! Last Thursday, Kevin from Fedex called to let me know he had three boxes and he'd be there in 15 minutes!:
  17. OK thanks for the tip How about this:
