  1. That is one awesome center speaker! Man, that would be great to have. I have thought about doing something similar, but to match Cornwalls.
  2. Nice move. I like some of PSB's speakers, but definitely prefer Klipsch. Hope you enjoy the tunes out of the new speakers! Congrats.
  3. Wow gorgeous crossovers! Nice setup as well. Did you build that crossover yourself from scratch?
  4. Thanks for clearing all that up. So does HBR mean Heresy Birch Raw and the H WO is Heresy Walnut Oiled?
  5. I just rechecked the serial numer and it is correct...hmmm...... 8871622 and 8871621 Oh yeah, what does HBR and WO mean?
  6. Gorgeous amps! Did you do this from scratch or was it bought as a kit?
  7. So am I missing a number or something........
  8. Hey everyone - I tried looking for a post about the serial numbers and types for my speakers, but can not find them anywhere. Here are the different speakers, please tell me what they mean. Heresy - 8425049 HBR Heresy 2 - 8871622 H WO SRB I just pulled info from one speaker from each pair. They are sequential serial numbers though. Thanks!!!
  9. Still no pictures? Ahh man, you're killing me. hehehe I would love to have the opportunity to demo some of the subs you have.
  10. I would love to get the opportunity to hear a set of those. Great job over there.
  11. Also, check out the Integra DTC 9.8. http://www.integrahometheater.com/model.cfm?class=Separates&m=DTC-9.8&p=i
  12. Hey ear - do you have any pictures of your setup? I would love to see the room of subs and your listening area.
  13. I think this thread just got edited while i was getting to the good stuff. hahaha Oh well....
  14. Very nice! That looks like it would be a great project with big rewards in the end.
  15. This may or may not help, but can you not build a fake wall to enclose your listening area? I mean by either truly building a wall with sheet rock or using very heavy drapes. I would think that this would prevent some of the sound from leaving the area and increasing your bass. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
  16. Paul - Nice response, looks like it took you all night to "right" such a large paragraph. I don't even want to imagine how long editing took you. I wouldn't say anyone is jealous of your sub, I know that I personally am not. I also will admit that it is a very nice sub, just not for the money. Seems to be very over priced, but in the end the sound is not bad. If I was going to put a lot of time and effort into a new sub I would definitely go with an IB sub. I think the reason people started bugging you about it was because of the reasons you gave as to why it is superior. Unfortunately, you don't seem to know what makes the sub high end and the result is that you sound very ignorant while trying to defend it. The square ports remark is classic, I would love to know your logic behind that one. So by all means, try to live it up with you JL sub. In the end I truly hope that you are happy with your system and wish you years of great joy listening to it. Take care.
  17. Also, remember that if you bought your HD-DVD player from Circuit City in the last three months they will allow you to trade it in for a Blu Ray player.
  18. Wow, what a pointless post. Someone seems to be showing a bit of "little man" syndrome. Also, you sound pissed that you have basically been taken advantage of for paying so much money for a sub that isn't any better than ones that are much cheaper.....or at least upset by the fact that someone called you out on your "little man" purchase. LOL - this is all way to funny. I personally am a fan of the PB13 -Ultra, very nice unit.
  19. I always use subs in my Heresy setup, dual SVS PCi 25-31 . When I'm listening to my Cornwalls I don't use one, but that is only because that setup doesn't have a sub included right now.
  20. What the heck would that accomplish? The Gotham starts off with an enclosure that sacrifices effective use of floor space for a pretty enclosure, is using a less efficient sealed cabinet enclosure that is undersized for one driver, let alone two drivers....which requires an absurd amount of amplifier power to even get into normal SPL levels. The power compression of the system happens retarded early (especially at the lower frequencies where cone excursion must be huge) and the distortion skyrockets above 110dB (gotta love Bl and CMS nonlinearities). Heck, it even has a sliding high pass filter to help reduce cone excursion down low (meaning not very loud subsonic information). About the only thing it does is play loud and look pretty while costing way too much. But then, that's all someone more interested in touting an image is concerned with anyway so they really got their demographic nailed down well. I have no doubt that something like the following is going to sound much better than any of the subs mentioned so far: http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/100846.aspx Very well said! Gotham owners don't want to hear all of that though.
  21. Seems like a waste of money...
