  1. Wow is all I can say about this listing. I personally love this quote; "THESE BAD BOYS RUN WITH THE LIKES OF MARK LEVENSON, KLIPSCH,HERESY,JBL & OTHERS." I thought Mark Levinson didn't make speakers, even though he is comparing them to other speaker brands. [:^)] Priceless.
  2. I don't think that "Rule #2" is in fact a rule. I bought a pair of Cornwall II's off a guy without being able to listen to them for $400 and they have turned out to be amazing speakers. I did the same thing with a pair of La Scala's and Heresy's and so far have had amazing luck getting perfectly working speakers.
  3. You may want to hold off until you find out your room size, or just pick up a nice 2-channel rig until then.
  4. Just make sure the spelling is correct. harmanaudio.com The other site is some fake crap.
  5. Good call Tom. Very cool of you to admit all of that. Good luck on your sale!
  6. I personally don't believe in "break-in." Just a bunch of hot air. I would say that you are just getting more accustomed to the sound of the speakers.

    Marantz

I second Accessories4Less.com, that is where I picked up my Marantz as well. I have ordered Onkyo equipment off there as well. I would highly recommend them.
  8. Why not go with 5 identical in-ceiling speakers. I'm not 100% sure that Klipsch makes them directional, but I know that B&W makes some that you can point the tweeter in the direction you want. This way they are completely out of the way.

    Marantz

Hi there! I am using a Marantz SR-5500 running my Klipcsh Heresy and don't have any complaints. I am running 4 Heresy's and 2 SVS PCi 25-31 subs and I think it sounds great! Setup is easy and remote is pretty good even though I rarely use it since I run a Harmony 880. I don't think you will have any issues.
  10. Is the one Todd linked to the version with English? I am very interested in this film now and I think my set up can finally handle a movie like this.
  11. Looks good! I love the cane grills. I have been debating for some time now to update my black grills to cane.
  12. I'd buy one as well. Those sings look great! I prefer the copper look of them to the silver ones you see on ebay.
  13. I didn't think "overkill" was a real word.......... hahahaha
  14. I wish that he would post a few pics of the speakers so we can get to the bottom of this F^@#% mystery - hahahahaha Seems like cornwalls to me. Hope that someone lives in the general area and can save them from this foul mouthed F#(&$r. hehehehe
  15. Congrats on the purchase! Wow, is all I can say. I'm with Fini, what do you do and how can I get there?
  16. I would go out and give them all a listen if I were you with your own material. Out of the few they offer at Magnolia stores I would lean towards Martin Logan for a good solid sub.
  17. I second monoprice.com, they have some amazing prices and I have yet to have any problems with their cables.
  18. Yeah I sure did. My dad lives over in Thousand Oaks.
  19. LOL - Don't worry, if I ever decide to sell you will be the first person to know.
  20. Well, actually the seller tried to sell them in the Garage Sale section for $300 and then $250. I emailed him and said that if he goes down to $150 to let me know and he accepted the offer. He is located in CA and lived about 20 minutes from my dad. So I got in touch with my dad and he went and picked them up, while I was out visiting for Christmas we packed them up and shipped them back home to SC. The $200 pair I actually found on Craigslist down in Hilton Head. So, like all Klipsch fanatics, I decided to make the short 4.5 hour road trip down there from Greenville, SC. Right now I have all four hooked up to my Marantz with two SVS 25-31 PCi subs and the center channel in phantom mode, so I guess I have a 4.2 setup, lol. I must say that this setup is ROCKING!!! I have two Cornwall II's hooked up in another room for my 2-Channel listening. I would like to one day combine the systems together into one room and use the Cornwalls as my mains the Heresy's as surrounds and maybe add a single Heresy or Cornwall as the center channel. I do really enjoy having a 2-channel setup right now though.
  21. Well guys, I was able to score big time recently. I picked up a pair of Heresy's for $150! I already had a pair of Heresy II's, which I picked up for $200 in July. So far haven't done any critical listening to them side-by-side to see if I notice any difference. The wood could use a little bit of work and they didn't come with risers, but for $150 they are a steal! I'm guessing it is birch, HBR? I'm not that good at remembering what everything means yet. My girlfriend doesn't think it is a big deal, but doesn't mind them and is happy that I am happy. So, I just wanted to share my excitement with some other people who would appreciate this kind of deal.
  22. I have the 629 and the 880 and I would highly recommend their products. I finally convinced my sister to make the switch to the universal remote world and she started off with the 550, which is a great remote! I set it up for her today in less than 10 minutes and it worked flawlessly. The ease of use and setup is amazing. Amazon had the 880 on sale for $129 and for that price it is very hard to beat. Also, it will run basically any device that has an IR sensor. I really can't recommend their product enough.
  23. Check Craigslist or Audiogon. Also, make sure to look in the "Garage Sale" section of the forum. There were some Cornwalls in Florida recently I thought.
