  1. Today i spent the day painting the Tuba Subwoofer. I still need to add the aluminum trim to match my Industrials, but that will come later. I have enjoyed building this sub, but i am glad i am done. I put a lot of time into this build. Sorry about the crappy pictures.
  2. I used a hole saw and cut a round hole in the bottom towards the rear.
  3. My first attempt at building a turntable base. I made it out of red oak, looks better than the plastic base that was on it. I think it turned out pretty good.
  4. Man , i wish i would have built this sub a long time ago. It is really starting to open up now, i have had to turn the gain down a couple of clicks. It handles everything i throw at it, no distortion, just solid bass. It it so different than any other sub i've had. Next weekend i will haul it back to the garage for a paint job. I plan on painting it gloss black. Today i built an enclosure for the Klipsch Bash amp. I will post pictures when i get everyting painted.
  5. Hey Jason, did you find any leaks in your cab.
  6. I finally got the cab done for my Tuba ht Subwoofer. Today i am breaking in the driver. I am using a Klipsch 300 watt Bash amp to power the sub. I plan on painting it black and adding aluminum edging to match my industrials. Should turn out pretty sweet.[]
  7. Hey Jason, i am in the process of building a Tuba HT Sub to run with my LSI's. Got all of the wood cut yesterday, can't wait to hear this sub, but i'll take my time and do it right.
  8. I have had this sub for a long time, and i tried all of the cheap fixes when it first started to hum, and nothing has helped. I figured with the age of the sub then it must be the amp going bad. It's not real bad yet , but i can hear it hum when the room is quiet. Instead of buying a new sub i thought i would put a new amp in it, and maybe with a bigger amp i might get a little more output. Thanks.
  9. I have an SW-15ll sub that has a 200 watt amp, and it has a slight hum coming from it. I have been thinking about replacing it with a 500 watt Bash amp from parts express. Any opinions. Thanks.
  10. I have a SW15ll sub that also hums, i bought it used about 3 years ago. The hum seems to be getting worse, so i figured the amp might be going bad. I think i am going to buy a sub amp from Parts Express, but I'll have to modify the cabinet a little because it's a different size. hopefully it will work, it's cheaper than buying a new sub.
  11. I noticed a crackling noise coming from the midrange horn on on of my LaScala's. Does this sound like it could be a bad diapragm, are they easy to change? I do have some soldering skills, so i think i could do it with a little guidence. Thanks.
  12. If your still happy with the sound then why change. I had 5.5's for 10 years, i wish i still had them.
  13. To bad people use speakers for plant stands, or lamp stands. I just don't get it.
  14. I never get the volume past 10 on my lsi's. I would love to put them in a very large room and pour on the juice, i bet that would sound awesome.
  15. Watch out for that vaginal yeast infection.
  16. I saw John Mayer three years ago when he opened for Tom Petty, and i did'nt know who he was. Live in Los Angeles is an awesome dvd.
