  1. Yes, a Merry Christmas to all. I hope all traveled safely for the holidays and got the see their loved ones and friends.
  2. Thanks, I'll pass that on to my son. We have not seen him in a year. He'll be flying in Dec 30th to celebrate Christmas. He just got his Dolphins. He has been on a long undersea "adventure".
  3. If I had the choice of cleaning a record on a second table and not my main table I would use the second table. Especially when using spray cleaning solutions. If the table has enough torque for cleaning purposes then I would keep it.
  4. No, I think it was thickness and length of the drapes, color is a mental game Or maybe more importanly it was time of day Or amount of food in your belly Or number of beers consumed over time Or...
  5. I did a comparison on an OPPO player maybe 3 years ago. I compared the Weather Report "Heavy Weather" SACD to Redbook. It took all of 5 seconds to realize how much better the SACD was to the Redbook. More detail. I listened to it on all solid state equipment and through Klipsch Jubilee speakers.
  6. Brac, You sound normal to me. Those C II Verts will be happy in your home.
  7. Wow Amy, When it rains it pours. Have you had your hands on any of the ladies t-shirts to know if sizes run a little small? And the ball caps, what is used for size adjustment? It is good seeing the Made in the USA stuff. Look forward to seeing more. Ideas? How about those plastic sun visors that the ladies tend to wear. They usually are inexpensive, colorful and people don't mind as much if they get left at the beach or pool. Problems: Not all pictures downloaded, I blame it on dialup tho. Amy, I think you are supposed to be modeling some of these goodies!
  8. Can they be used in a bass reflex cabinet? Is one better than the other for this? What should be the DCR for these if I find some used? Thanks, EDIT: Somedays the lightbulb burns brighter than other days. I found the specs: http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/p/33207/286987.aspx#286987 But not the bass reflex answer.
  9. Amy, Back in March you asked for ideas for fun stuff like T-shirts, coffee mugs, etc that we might me interested in. Whatever happened? The holidays will be here sooner than I want to think about and a tie is not something I want to receive under my tree. Better to be prepared with Klipsch gift ideas! Your blog of new products did not show the ideas we had mentioned, so there must be a different plan. Can you please update? Thanks http://community.klipsch.com/forums/p/146330/1501370.aspx
  10. Thanks everyone who helped answer the questions. I think I have a little better understanding of some of what its like and why performers get on stage.
  11. I'll second Monoprice.com. [Y] This is where I get the majority of my cable and connector needs. I check monoproce first.
  12. Serious question, not just mind wandering here. I have listened to a lot of music (as we all have). At 8 years old I took guitar lessons for a year. Moved away and stopped taking lessons. Never really got any better. I’m in my 50s and I’m not looking to go on stage. I learned a while ago that the ingredient called talent is not in my makeup. But I have wondered what is it really like to be up there playing in a band or an orchestra. Why do you do it? It can’t be just for the money. Or is it? Is it just a job? Is there a thrill or a "high" when you play a piece correctly and with emotion? Is it a self satisfaction thing when playing it right or when playing it to the tune that you hear in your head? Do you play with a purpose? I’ve watched enough music videos (especially "Orchestral" [Y] ) to see their expressions of a job well done. Is their perspective of the piece the same as my perspective from in front of my speakers? I’m just looking for insight from those who know. Why do you do it? Thanks.
  13. Probably "Orchestral" would have been a better term to use than "Classical". Fortunately, one does not have to be knowlegeable to enjoy this music.
  14. Radio Station WRR 101.1 took this poll and from responses came up with the top 90 classical music pieces. Interesting to see what people are favoring for 2011. http://www.wrr101.com/ It streams. How many have you never heard? 15. Alsmot 4 years to the day since the last post. And I still do not have an answer. Is the circuit available? My second pair of LaScalas couls use this. Especially since it will be reversible. I know using an active crossover could add the required boost and cutoff, but my EV dx38 is on the other system. Where does this circuit that is spoken of get put in? Between preamp and amp? In a tape loop? Between amp and LaScalas? Thanks.
  16. Welcome to the forum 2A3. I can only speak for the LaScala as my 2A3 Sets played them well in a 15 x 15 feet room. I am sure there are Klipschorn owners out there that have lots of experience and wisdom with required power for the wonderful Klipschorns.
  17. Gagelle, But what about all the record cleaning fun? And digging through all those boxes of old records? And making cartridge adjustments? He would miss all that.
  18. Thanks for posting! Great writeup. I wonder when the movie will be out? No lack of respect to the SEALS and their support organizations in this camp. Way to go.
  19. Does not bode well for those (like me) who live out in the country and receive TV or movies over the free air antenna. And already get more stupid commercials than we can stand.
  20. Go wifi, that way you do not have to be tethered to your computer !
