  1. If shipped lots of speakers that size by Fed Ex ground. No Trouble
  2. Just spoke to Mike (Speakerfritz). Him and the family are safe! They had a few feet of water in the first floor and they have no power, but he is hanging in there and just glad no one got hurt. Not sure when then will get power back.
  3. I would expect that to damage the amp, shouldn't have hurt the speaker..
  4. And up to date, knowing how often we all change equipment around.
  5. One year when I was time to renew, I told them that the amount listed for contents was too low and the made and adjustment. Not sure if that was the way to do it, but I'm not interested in giving anyone a list of my belongings.
  6. Bit strange that it says "NO LOCAL PICKUP!"
  7. Or just use <> with a "p" in the middle. That's what I do.
  8. So last minute thoughts. Are there any card games that a guy could make a few bucks at? I have been to casinos but never really played cards? Also any Sushi recommendations?

    What I Got Today!

I don't get it, how is this different from you buying her a vacuum as a "gift" (I'm told that is NOT OKAY)
  10. It was this drive, which is top notch, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147163 however the $15 coupon code has expired. I see this deal is active, less money but not as highly rated drive. Buy.com has 128GB Kingston SSDNow V200 Series 2.5" SATA III Internal Solid State Drive SSD (SV200S37A/128G) for $75 - $15 rebate = $60 with free shipping. slickdeals.net always post great deals on SSD's. I went with this USB 3.0 enclosure for $15. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817388031
  11. The wife has been wanting a tablet for awhile, she really wanted a windows tablet, but they are way over priced. We saw the nexus 7 and the specs and reviews looked good, thought it would be nice to have for our las vegas/ grand canyon trip so I ordered one through B&H, I then got an e-mail that it was BO till sept. So the day I got the email just happened to be the day google started showing them in stock. Ordering direct added $25 to the price (tax and shipping) but we had it 3 days later. I am just blown away by how fast this thing is, Google earth works as fast as you can swipe your finger no lag what so ever. The voice recognition search really works well, and it seems to have lots of useful apps on it. Still learning what does what and such. The only 2 things i didn't like about the nexus 7 were 1) it did not work on 3g or any other cell network, but I was able to root it and get it "tethered" to the cell phone, so now if the cell phone works we can use the tablet. 2) only 16gb with no expansion slot, I was able to pick up a 128gb SSD and external case for $100 and with an app called stickmount I should be able to use the HD for things like picture storage. (just waiting on an adapter for the micro slot that will allow full size usb and a few other things.
  12. Hmmm, Mow I'm wondering if I should switch from the Rio to the Orleans, Price is just about the same, less than $20 diff for the whole 3 days. I did book a single nite at the Orleans for when we arrive. We will stay 1 night Monday the 3rd then on Tuesday we will get supplies, food and stuff and head over to the south rim.
  13. I really hate a dirty room! So IP has been canceled, we are now gonna stay at the RIO. Schu, Thanks for the offer, will keep you posted. Thanks
  14. Michael, thanks for the heads up on the hotel, how important is it to stay "on the strip"? There are many more choices at our price point if we get off the strip.
  15. At the end of the trip, we have 3 days in Vegas, staying at the Imperial Palace. We hope it's nice we choose it based on location and price. We get back to Vegas on a Saturday and the Saturday night was over $300 just about everywhere. Cirque shows are something else, we have seen 2 in the past, 1 was in Florida, or maybe both were. We have tickets to Zumanity at New York New York. We were thinking about seeing another but couldn't decide on which one. I'll look into KA. We have tried to zip line in 2 places now but both times the weather was so bad things got canceled, so we'll check that one out.
  16. I've read so much about Havasupai Falls, amazing doesn't seem to do it justice. However we had to take it off the places we are going, for a few reasons. I kinda thought our trip would be considered "off season" but no such luck. The lousy thing about this place is also the great thing about this place, getting there. I wanted to hike in and camp, but the wife can't carry a full pack that far, so we would need to stay at the inn, (all booked up). other option is they will mule train in your gear for $185 RT you can also get a heli flight in or out for $90 p/p each way, (don't know if/how much gear you can take)so even lazy folks can get there. Too good a place to deal with crowds of people.
  17. Here is the link to our planned route: (of course my browser doesn't make working links) https://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Las+Vegas,+NV&daddr=Hoover+Dam,+Boulder+City,+NV+to:Grand+Canyon+National+Park,+Coconino,+AZ+to:Lake+Powell,+AZ+to:Kaibab+Plateau+HP,+Coconino,+AZ+to:Point+Sublime,+North+Rim,+AZ+to:Point+Imperial+Road,+North+Rim,+AZ+to:37.13615,-111.97555+to:Grand+Staircase-Escalante+National+Monument,+Kanab,+UT+to:Bryce+Canyon+National+Park,+Tropic,+UT+to:Zion+National+Park,+Hurricane,+UT+to:Toroweap+Overlook,+Mohave,+AZ+to:Grand+Canyon+Bar+Ten+Airstrip,+Mohave,+AZ+to:Mesquite,+NV+to:Las+Vegas,+NV&geocode=FZM1KQIdNJoh-SnRffWkgre-gDGjebPV5tXMOg%3BFXeEJQIdnSkp-SmzYFUvPi3JgDHGnkJ9rUrXtQ%3BFZUeJgIdNeFQ-SE7YzTC5Mlivimtv2mAsxAzhzE7YzTC5Mlivg%3BFTQbNAIdbcxa-SFcQZnIYAmk_ylLQkecuWo0hzFcQZnIYAmk_w%3BFWVdKwId5LdQ-SlPVF51emYzhzHRkYcydFbfyw%3BFRxLKQIdk19R-Sn3C84nW2wzhzGCDH1_AUOaOw%3BFY56KQId9gxT-Sn5XzAzAXMzhzHIY7sU8IVdEQ%3BFRanNgIdgmNT-SmLKP5yC_w0hzHT2WOjPKbQJg%3BFT9SOwId_E5Y-SHoSLjOBr3iKilztNbbhKQ1hzHoSLjOBr3iKg%3BFeh7PQId9TlQ-SEGbay--9jpaykt68MCxms1hzEGbay--9jpaw%3BFf3BNwIdkwdE-SH1VjaqFToufCnZ-ESI0OrKgDH1VjaqFToufA%3BFe-OKAIdHudC-SF6MqCjXsiJvykpGAhqsZnMgDF6MqCjXsiJvw%3BFdQ7KQIdsj9A-SG2KR2C2yUVHinl6R6tDYPMgDG2KR2C2yUVHg%3BFZubMQIdCnkz-SkDU0hxCYDJgDGcP7-H5rGyEw%3BFZM1KQIdNJoh-SnRffWkgre-gDGjebPV5tXMOg&aq=0&oq=las&sll=36.452218,-113.323975&sspn=2.708313,4.762573&vpsrc=6&t=h&hl=en&mra=ls&via=7&ie=UTF8&ll=36.359375,-112.950439&spn=2.71155,4.762573&z=8&dirflg=d Gonna be a combo of camping and hotel stays. 1,200 miles over 12 days with 2 days in Vegas at the end. Only issue we seem to have is the amount of stuff we need to bring vs the amount the airline lets you take. Anybody in Vegas I could mail some camping gear to?
