  1. I saw the title and first line in my RSS feeds and thought, man I really hope that's a post from Dean! Rock On! So glad to hear things are better, we've all been praying for you
  2. They are a Klipsch product, so I'm sure they sound great, (I have never own or listened to any). Klipsch does lots of R&D to create a good product. All that being said I would not put them on par with heritage or reference. But maybe I'm just an anti-big box Klipsch snob.
  3. Very cool, I always liked their music, had no idea they were still playing.
  4. Depends on condition, and finish. It's a reasonable price if they are in good shape.
  5. My spud is still raw birch, as once I got it done I put it in the HT to do some listening, and the thought of moving keeps from from doing any thing more to it. Have you had a chance to play with the new one yet?
  6. Ummm.... Ohms is a measurement of resistance, speaker resistance can be measured with an ohm meter. An AVR is not measured that way, not sure of a better way to explain it...
  7. Nice job on the finish, what product is that? I like my spud alot, but I need 2 friends over if I ever wanna move it. That thing is almost cute I've been scanning the build thread but don't see who is selling the kit or for what price?
  8. Is that a Kudo above the speakers?
  9. If you liked the sound, KLF-10's are similar, and smaller. What area are you in?
  10. Got a before and an after, or at least an after?
  11. You didn't tell us what your using now, so hard to say what will work. KISS theory would suggest a tube amp.
  12. Underwater Basket Weaving Nation Championship UBWNC
  13. I'll have to keep the wife away from it, unless it's mean and ugly. No Kids and I'm a heartless bastard (at least that's what I'm told) MG, I am being told different things about what age to butcher. I had thought to get something 4-8 months old now and butcher in the fall, but I am being told by some it should be 2 YO min when butchered. What are your thoughts on this. Thanks
  14. Sad to see so many family farms close up shop, the auction was a few weeks ago. I see there is a livestock auction once a week in Skow, don't know if I know enough to go by my self, but I do I a beef raising mentor.
  15. I'm looking for a few beef critters to raise this year, anybody else on here doing it? Critters are harder to find than a non-farmer would think.
  16. Very nice, I was not as lucky. I don't recall what the problems were but it ended up not being something worth doing. Thanks for posting the video, I never did see mine work.
  17. The options are a KLF-C7 or a KLF-10, 20, or 30.
  18. receiver? amp? this is in the ipod speaker section. It's probably safe to assume he using an ipod. However model #'s would be a good start.
  19. The K-1056 is the woofer 10" for KLF-10's (may have other uses) The one with the hand written R looks to me like a bucking magnet, not sure what speaker it is on. I'm sure you will get more info from others who recognize things.
  20. I see where an HP slate 500 can be had on ebay for $299 used, but since this will be her primary unit, I was thinking something like an ipad (size wise) which, like Dave pointed out brings the price over $600. Makes me think I should be looking for a laptop. The last 2 laptops I have purchased were bought during black Friday sales, November is a long way off. This is a little more than I wanted to spend but looks like a good deal. Toshiba 17.3" Laptop w/ AMD Quad Core A6-3420M Processor, 640GB HDD, 6GB DDR3, Blu-Ray & HDMI Output! $459 at http://1saleaday.com/?CID=168142&AFID=178621 This one is out, wife say's it's too big.
  21. I am trying to get my wife a portable device, issue is she is diabetic and on an insulin pump. The pump currently connects to her laptop (ageing acer) via a usb thingy, the info from the pump does not stay local but get uploaded to www.carelink.minimed.com where it is made available as many different types of reports and graphs. The carelink website says their software will only work with Required Settings Windows XP/Vista/7, MacOSX 10.5 (Intel), MacOSX 10.6/10.7 IE 7/8/9 (Windows), Safari 4/5 (Mac OS), Firefox 5 128 bit key 800x600 or greater 8-bit colors or greater Is there a way to run a full blown OS on a portable device, or do I have no choice but to look for a new laptop?
  22. That he remembers what happened is a sure sign the helmet did it's job. The best decision is not always the easy one, praying for a fast and full recovery. And Dave, from what I know of you, he's very lucky to have a friend like you!
  23. Prayers always at the ready for a fellow member and his family,
