Cannot confirm the DAC but would first setup the Onkyo and give a listen. Generally agree about DACs can improve the sound quality, especially with Youtube. Even an inexpensive one.

Price with shipping seems easy enough. Can certainly see someone getting, and giving some TLC...may be some of the pro stuff from the Garage Sale here.

Sounds like intermittent alright. Could be something as simple as a resistor getting too warm. Another person recently having a problem. Not a bench tech so recommend doing a search of this forum for the little amount of posts in archive on this amp. Always enjoyed mine. Kept mine in a cool place with plenty of air. If you are comfortable with electronics, you can unplug and take a look. Welcome btw... @Hamezys

Yes @Vivi... would definitely consider them as, as you know Eminence have featured big in Klipsch over the years... good hunting.

Another is the KG-4s with their round and rectangular, 4-8 Ohm.
