Do these drivers have alnico magnets? What restoration work should I do on these speakers?

Yes, look like Alnico to me, round. Nothing to do but enjoy for now. Can you demo them?

    No sub-woofer, no wireless

My doubt Is for a Little room a distance position from the speakers (not over 2 meters) if Is Better 600-pm II or the Little 500-pm II

    Thank you for your replay

Yes, that is my take, the 600 especially since no sub. Do a search on the speaker models interested in using the search function here into archive, while awaiting more feedback.

I was gonna get the cinema 700 but decided I wanna go all out I've had my very simple 2.0 Vizio soundbar I got 8 ago it had a sub port and I got a free inifinity bu 120 last year and got a nice taste of home bass before it out of nowhere while not in use made a thump noise and smoked decided I wanna go all out anyone have any opinions or advice for the 1200 read many good reviews but also a concerning amount of negative ones about ranging from it bricking within a few months to a year, audio cutting out, people having to buy smart switches cause they have to unplug it many times etc I'm excited but also nervous anyone own the 1200 could you please share your experience

@KevinB...may have an opinion on the 1200 system. We shall see. Klipsch and Onkyo have collaboration on a new model you may be interested in. Here read this, meanwhile welcome:

I'm not sure if this will work, so please bare with me.

I had trouble logging in so I found one of my old post to reply to.

Life got busy with opening up a cabinet business and I didn't make too many changes to my system. I also haven't been in contact with the good friends and people on this Forum that helped me out with my modifications. I may mention names later.

I'm finally going to get into Dolby Atmos and purchased a different processor to do so. Also getting ready to buy some  different equipment. Next purchase will be the Magnetar UPD-800 Blu-ray player.

I have been trying to purchase some Klipsch Cinema Surround speakers, but I'm having trouble finding a dealer.  I have to search a little harder.  I'm thinking of the KPT-12-VB, KPT-8-VB, Kpt-1200-VBM . I need 2 surrounds, and I might use them for 4 ceiling mounted Atmos speakers. Have to see what kind of frequency response is actually sent to the those Atmos channels.

With these changes I'm going to sell 2 pairs of LaScalas , 1 pair of Klipschorns. The Klipschorns are stock, they used to be my benchmark speaker that I used when modifying other speakers. I havent listened to them in years. The LaScalas are my front and rear height speakers which I can't use as surrounds and ceiling speakers. I'll probably list these in the Garage sale section one of these days before going to eBay.

That's all I'm going to say for now. I want to see if this reply post. Then I'll try starting a new one.

I have to search the members list to see if some of the old timers like me are still active here.

May have to change my old pass word, and email address.

I am getting an Onkyo M-504 with matching preamp.  I plan on connecting my laptop with a microphone to RCA cable (unless I should do it differently).

I was advised an inexpensive DAC will make a noticeable difference.  I was told:

An American company makes a 99.00 dac and I read it's damn good. It's the Schiit modi 3e.

    Can anyone confirm?

Cannot confirm the DAC but would first setup the Onkyo and give a listen.

Generally agree about DACs can improve the sound quality, especially with Youtube. Even an inexpensive one.

    They are sold now.
He is a member of the Vintage Klipsch Fans Facebook group that I am in,  I saw these yesterday but the drive was a bit too far for me to go after work or this weekend.  I would have loved to pick up a 2nd pair of Heresys.

How much were listed for @JTYoung... thanks.

  7. Price with shipping seems easy enough. Can certainly see someone getting, and giving some TLC...may be some of the pro stuff from the Garage Sale here.

    Thank you.

I just tried to switch from outputs 1 to outputs 2. Tried flipping the toggle from 0 to 180. I'm now updating the software on my couple month old Denon X4800H to see if that does anything. The auto off and on works fine so I know it's getting the signal at least.

Sounds like a plan... Stay with it and let know please... thanks.
