  1. Swampcooler then is a misnomer. Only for low humidity then.
  2. Im in NO hurry, i do like the fact the BS forum cleaned up the Klipsch main page. Even when the BS was public, i dont think iv commented 10 times on anything. Have been here for a short time now and never knew they had a Section. Maybe time to check it out. Never know, I may have been a player there. LOLOL You need 5K posts to enter. Don't ask................ Was talking about the old one that was said to exist...no matter, they are safe,
  3. Sancho, you just hit 3k likes man! :emotion-29:

  5. Lol, turn it around and use as a microscope for a speaker.
  6. Yes good morning! Much(?) less humidity tonight mad it bearable. That is, no immediate fogging of the glasses stepping out of the car this AM. Know it is cool in the cave so, guess I will look into this swampcooler thing a ma bob. Going to have a liedown as reading sleep heals the body. Without enough, we may have to wonder. So, for me that will be noon. Bugs are bad in places mostly, since it has been wet and damp. With as you know, rolling popup, microburst, and other ways to look at the weather. Now I put it together that you would be looking at the weather at times. Bugs are bad this guy told me one time down in Steinhatchee, Florida. Sportsman's Paradise. The crow looks coming along from the photo glimpse. Thanks!
  7. Now that is something to see. Smiling for sure! Congrats
  8. Just saw this duder, and have seen replacement parts, Velodyne. Guessing that has something in the way of watts now. If you liked it before, you may continue by going original. Knew the older servo-controlled technology was getting some air time with their bass sub. Talk about the originals being scarce so. 18 inch, cannot say. So yes, if going with something else then, changing the brand as well as amp, may be. For sure this forum knows. Always liked the looks of a nice one. Have a good one.
  9. Lol, yes, I know how to complicate the uncomplicatable. Opps, the tequila thing snuck up on me... Jose Cuervo he was a friend of mine...
  10. Elsewhere people were saying this is the same driver that has 5" of xMech, which I find hard to believe given the size of the box, but if true, you could barely buy a sub of that caliber plus an amp and the raw wood to build the box for that kind of money. If it is on par with a single HT-18 and maybe a weak version of an iNuke 3000 though which I suspect, you're probably looking at about $500 worth of parts and major material if bought retail. Of course people are buying very inferior subs for twice that with a smile on their face too. Do not know their mission, or if public their mission statement, as a company. Speculating on a possible strategy since I have not done the work, introduction of a sub, that may come in at a lower price point than their target competitors, if any. Maybe a flash in the pan or, a well funded company, just trying to serve a niche market. But I see other products. Last I thought I knew, 4 of 5 new business fail. Klipsch, I would think, but do not know, are probably well aware of their neighborhood. lol
  11. Please do, swamp coolers aren't cool, were just trying to get Billybob to figure them out. Dave has done a patient and fairly thorough back in forth with me on the subject. Thinking he has done all he can to impart his knowledge on the subject. And I do get the jist, for all of my silly response/questions. Reading and comprehension, not my forte'. lol Moving on now...STELLA...
  12. In addition, the officer who was injured had burns on his hands and arms, the type of injuries consistent with a meth cook gone bad. Not coincidentally, the officer resigned on Sunday. No one has been arrested. Weird!
  13. Haven't looked lately but, how much for a similar retail with same or similar specs. 18 inch ported, near 1000 watts sub cost? That was what really grabbed me is the price. Maybe we can get a review sometime.
  14. So the circulation of water through the system gives it aeration, causing the water to cool down lower than the ambient temp., of the water, in the base. Continuous running of the system causes the base water to get cooler than the ambient temperature. Almost got it but, need to process still. Thinking the water according to the diagram is not just flowing out of the tubes. but spraying out via nozzles. Or is that aeration of the water caused by the blower fan?
  15. Lol, never have seen one of those on a car, that I recall. Must be a western/desert thing. Pretty neat old school technology. Speaking of neat, the swampcooler diagram you posted is a pretty simple, yet elaborate technology. Can see now where a block of ice, or a frozen milk jug or 2 might hope the situation. Sure as heck beats the without alternative.
  16. Looks worthy to me! I will check it out! Thanks!
  17. They didn't have kiddie records when I was kid, it was all kick out the jam time.
  18. Wow, alright! Thought we might be talking industrial size there, and a place for water or ice under it. Don't know much but yes, can schuck a few ears, even though I cannot spell it. Hungry of a sudden.
  19. Is that what the retired folk call it now a days?
  20. Thanks for the thumbnail, that helps a lot. Have used those neck coolers from sharper image, and other handheld devices to help a bit. While not totally the cat's meow, they help some. Thinking now about cooling with a fan device for the deck, which is half covered by a ramada, open at the sides or closed with net against critter bugs.
  21. Maybe so! I know rubber floor mats on a car were handy. Just do not want your date to rely on them for support, in that case.
  22. You know Sancho, I should try to find a pic of one so, I will know more about what Dave was explain.
  23. Nice work and yes, bet they will be sounding good too! You betcha!
  24. Lol, if possible, that is where I would be found, in front.
