Russian PIO caps came today...quicker than I thought form Bulgaria. Hopefully can start on speakers soon. Have all parts now. Just need time.

New preamp made it in today. Just too tired to mess with it tonight. Got a lot of finishing work to do at my mom's house this weekend before getting it appraised and inspected next week for the buyers. Thankfully that's almost behind us...after 4 months worth of every weekend worth of work. Close to being able to start on my Belles now. Finally. Maybe I can get it hooked up tomorrow night. I've got an older Toshiba SD-6980 DVD player that I got when we rep'd Toshiba at our warehouse in Dallas. It plays DVD audio and SACD so I may even hook that up too. Got some discs I haven't heard in a long time. Also, my Russian NOS PIO capacitors came in today, too. That didn't take too long.

What about just selling off the one you have and buying a pair that's complete? Would save you a lot of time and effort. ...of course, that coming from someone who has all the parts to build a pair of Belies. But, Heresies are more plentiful the Belles. Ha. Or just build a pair of cabinets so they match. Just a thought.

I've hardly ever used the sonic holography through the years...just some occasional recordings it worked well with. Tone controls I mostly leave flat anyway.

That might be why. My background is black and text is white. Too bad the system doesn't alter font color and background for it to work for all instead of it following the original poster and thus changing it for everyone else's preferences.

P-3000R preamp ordered this morning. If it all goes through today, maybe I'll see it by Friday afternoon. if not, no biggie; I'll be busy again at moms house all weekend anyway tying up loose ends on getting house ready to sell. But if it does make it in, I'll definitely get it put in the rack. Hopefully it will fit where the other one is.

It looks like black lettering on a black background on mobile. I guess because I'm using the dark background. Had to select all so I could see the text highlighted.

That's classic! I remember being at an Onkyo/Integra Rep Meeting dinner in Chicago back in 2006 and talking 2 channel audio with Mr Ohtsuki, the Onkyo Japan president. That was a real treat. Helluva nice person and loved listening to music...he didn't care as much for video...but loved his 2 channel setup and just talking with people about their likes and tastes in music and gear.

Wow... Now that's a stack of Onkyo gear you don't see all together at once too often!

Ok....got my pricing back from the Nat'l sales manager and will be ordering the P-3000R as soon as he sends me over the sheet. I'd consider buying the M-5000R along with it but I don't really need another amplifier; I'm really happy with the Dynaco VTA ST-70. It's definitely nice to have kept in touch with all the people I've worked with, and worked for, in the past...never a bridge burned.

Since I went to work for the city as Network Administrator, they supply me a phone so I'm selling my 7 month old black Galaxy S7. I have the box, charging cord, unused ear buds, etc., for it. I can post pictures of it later on tonight if need be. No cracks on screen....just normal use and look on the screen. It stays in a Spigen case but I don't use a screen protector as there are really not many good ones with this series of phone; I've tried a few. But it will be unlocked and ready to go for the major networks. I had it on AT&T. This is not the Edge version. Yeah, I had talked to a guy there a few different times about it. Seems like he said the 4 x 8 sheets were the Appleply brand and they also had the 5 x 5 baltic/Russian. That big box stuff is ok for aome things but it's got lots of voids in it; Chinese stuff most likely.

I'm always amazed by how good my CF-3's sound and there's nothing on the horns just yet. Just better braced cabinets and updated crossovers. It still makes me ponder whether or not I'll be happy with my Belle clones once they're done. I've already had and sold off KLF-30's and 1978 Cornwalls because they were underwhelming in comparison. Roy designed a fine series for sure.

You definitely need to change that font color so it can be read easier.

Is the other smaller broken piece from the horn still in one piece or was it shattered? How are you with fiberglass work? Ive built tons of fiberglass things in the 25 years I was in car audio. Is it possible to glue the pieces back together and then use some fiberglass mat and resin and put it back together? That would by far be more solid than the flimsy plastic. I've thought many times about doing that to the back side of my CF-3's horns. Just a thought.

Always good to read about others experiences with capacitor changes. I wish my Belles were done so I could tinker but not yet; have to finish remodeling moms house to get sold. I did, however, get those Russian MBGO paper in oil caps ordered from the seller in Bulgaria. Those will go in first for tinkering purposes. May convert them to a Type A, as Dean mentioned, as it's easy to go back and forth. That's great that it took care of what you'd been trying to accomplish!

Is that because of the protection circuit that limits it or from the added parts and how they're set up? I'm not a crazy loud listener these days but I do have my moments when my wife and kids are gone that I may hit 100db+ peaks. Kind of overrides my tinnitus for awhile. ha
