  1. If this is a joke, I don't get it. If not, just how loud was the music?
  2. Actually, believe it or not, but in most cases, it is preferable to go to a school that is regionally accredited. It is very difficult to transfer credits from a naionally accredited university to a regoinally accredited university. Most of the larger colleges are regionally accreditied, not nationally. University of Phoenix is regionally accredited. I don't know how this applies to someone in Dubai, however.
  3. I might be missing something here, but why do you even need a computer for Apple TV? Doesn't it have its own interface to the iTunes store? Or can you actually stream files from another computer to it? Either way, it shouldn't have anything to do with any computer connected on the network, as long as the Apple TV itself is able to connect.
  4. The remote App for iPhone is the coolest thing. I don't have an Apple TV, but it seems pretty cool. Congrats.
  5. Pretty awesome, but what does Brittney have to do with it?
  6. I'd say probably 100 out of 100 people can read it. If they can read. That's kinda the point isn't it?
  7. Um, I don't know, sounds like James Hetfield to me?
  8. Neither. They are sort of a hybrid. All of the drivers fire at the same time, like a bipole, but they are designed to give a more diffuse sound, like a dipole.
  9. Real to real? Is that really how you think it's spelled, or are you being funny?
  10. Well, what I just bid on anyway. It will probably be a week or so until they arrive. I know these are computer speakers, but it doesn't seem like anybody ever looks in that area, so I thought I'd show them off here. These are SWS subwoofers designed to go with the ProMedia Ultra 5.1 system. I've been trying to buy these for some time, but they have gone for crazy prices. I know it's kinda insane to have four of these. I don't know if I'll keep them all, but the price was right.
  11. I don't know why this program would elicit such a strong reaction from you? I took it as, if you are going to buy a gun, learn how to use it. I agree that their little experiment didn't prove anything, but at least everyone tried to fight back, and the blonde, as you said, may have actually taken the shooter out. At any rate, I can't imagine too many people watch 20/20 on a Friday night, and those that do probably take it with a grain of salt. News programs like that always exaggerate, and scew the results to their liking. And the shootout in the convenience store? They made a big deal out of the fact that nobody got hit. How about what didn't happen? The store clerk wasn't killed, as is often the case in these situations, and he didn't get robbed. So in that case, it was good that he had the gun, wasn't it?
  12. Most likely they did. I don't own that particular speaker, though. Call Klipsch, I'm sure they can get you a set. Tell them that yours didn't come with spikes and they'll probably send you a set for free.
  13. How about a brief synopsis for those of us who didn't see it?
  14. Was they supposed to? Are you sure they didn't come with them, and you threw them away?
  15. The speakers should have come with both spikes and rubber feet.
  16. Wow, I wasn't trying to start a fight about monopoles vs. WDST/bipole/dipoles. I have RS-3s now, which I'm happy with. I was thinking about upgrading to 7.1 (I had 7.1 years ago, but scaled back). I never upgraded to RS-7s because of the price. I've been watching ebay, but the prices for both RS-7s and RS-3s are out of line for a used speaker. So I was thinking about going to the new RS series speakers and was wondering what people would recommend. Folks have said that RS-42 or 62 would be okay, so I'll probably look into those. I used to work at an electronics store, so it kills me to pay retail prices for speakers. I've still got some friends in the industry that will give me the hook-up. So for me, I can probably get a better deal on new surrounds than buying them used. Thanks everyone for the help. And if I may: You are right, you don't see "sound sprayers" in movie theaters, but you do see a lot more than just 2 or 4 surround speakers. I'm pretty sure that is how the whole bi/dipole/WDST concept came about, trying to reproduce that effect.
  17. That SWS connect is actually an output. I've never tried it, but you could probably run an RCA to mini-jack to the promedia sub, but I'm not sure how it would work with/without the volume control?

    Transporter 3

It's true what they say, you never forget. The fact that he was an expert bicyclist, though? It's funny, though, right before he grabbed the bike, I was thinking "it would be funny if he grabbed a bike." I read a Ka-Zar comic book where that happened once, it was funny then, too.
  19. Dexter has only been on for 3 seasons, and so far only Seasons 1 and 2 are available on DVD/Blu-Ray. Monsters vs. Aliens is definitely not available yet, it's still in theaters.
  20. I started out using the 14 ga regular wire, which gave me the "comfortable" listening level. I then switched to the Monster cable, where I had the apparent decrease in volume. I couldn't pick out any other real differences, I consider my self pretty tin-earred and like I said, it was just a quickie little test. Nothing scientific. Speakerfritz, I'm not exactly sure what you were getting at there. Are you saying their so called "flux tube" should produce results, or not? Your first post wasn't very clear at all. I thought you meant exactly the opposite and was wondering why you'd be complaining that the thin wire was more quiet. Somehow I doubt the speaker wire would make that kind of difference, but if you say so...
  21. With everything going HDMI now, there can't be much left for them. People will wise up.
  22. I would like to get some new surrounds for my RF-7 series set-up. I would prefer to buy new speakers, not used, so the RS-7s aren't an option. What would you guys recommend?
  23. Really? I put mine on HDMI 1.
