  1. Yes, and Boudain. My grandson told me the other day he didnt think he liked it. So I went to BBQ place that a local guy here has setup that makes good ol Boudain. Really good stuff. Brought home some smoked Boudain and "made" him try it. Ha, no he likes it.
  2. Duh. Yeah, thats what I was going to recommend. NOT. I dont have a clue what that means, I'm just killing time here. But you may want to change out the muffler bearings.
  3. Dang I hate agreeing with Oldtimer here, I hope its not a new trend developing. Its true, no beans in chili. Period. Now beans and rice is another story and not just accepted here but mandatory.
  4. How far in the future are the 7ii's coming?
  5. I see it pretty much the same choice. They mean the same in my world hence my famous 3 words................... Your right Dear.
  6. Man, that story sounds familiar!!! I am fairly confident you wont feel the need to upgrade your speakers for quite some time. Thats the great thing with speakers, they dont have to be updated like pres/avr's. The top notch AVR today will be outdated in 5 years or so while the speakers just keep on jamming. I know my search for speakers are over for a long, long time..............if ever. Make sure you pizz some neighbors off when you get em hooked up and dialed in.
  7. We call them cokes as well. If you ask someone to grab you a coke, they ask what kind. LOL. Dr Pepper? Mt Dew? Sprite? And chili DOES go on a hot dog. They are called chili dogs. I aint ever heard of a sauce dog.
  8. Thats the Citys. I aint mowing it! I didnt take the test but personally, I am so glad we all talk differently. Imagine how boring it would be if we all spoke the same. My 2 favorite accents are the "New York" accent and the English accents. I guess I am so used to the Southern accent that I really dont think about it much, until I hear my voice on a recording. Yikes!

    VHS to DVD

Good point about the quality. I think I'll check into a company that does that and take it from there. Assuming they arent ridiculous in their pricing, it may be worth while to have the experienced folks do it. I have some really cool Motocross races of my son that I want to preserve.
  10. American Sniper was great and quite tense at times. Nice movie. Oh yeah, I think only Mrs Vader knows that for sure!

    VHS to DVD

Anybody have an idea how to get my old home movies from VHS to DVD? Oh yeah, as painless as possible? Maybe even sending them to a company or individual to do the transfer? I had an old Dazzle program but it was brutal and time consuming to go this route. IDK, maybe there are newer programs? Talk to me Ol Wise Ones. A few years back I even purchased a Toshiba (cant remember the model number) that has VHS and DVD on it that is made to transfer the VHS to DVD but it too was tricky trying to configure the dang thing. Any recommendations?
  12. I'm local if anybody wants me to check into em. Just let me know.
  13. I had no idea Odysee is installed in cars too!!!!!! .
  14. Hey Shodrewken, I have the same TV as you have in your man cave. The last of the Mohicans I guess. Its a nice TV.
  15. Sounds like my kind of job. If only the wife would let me help by not doing anything!!
  16. Yeah, I think with your room, I would toe them in just like you have them and would even experiment with them facing straight with no toe-in. I wish I had an open wall like that in my room. But even with my unfriendly room, the 7ii easily handle it with ease.
  17. Cool. The OCD in me (or maybe the arsehole in me) dont like the 2 channels just sitting there not pulling their weight! But it sounds like they are contributing, by not contributing! As long as they are doing something!!!
  18. I am using my Outlaw 7125 right now and it is a 7 channel amp. My room (at least I think) is better off using 5.1. So, I'm not using 2 of the channels on the amp. Am I better off just leaving these 2 channels idle or is there a better use for them? Speakers are RF7ii, RC 64ii and RS 7. Any suggestions?
  19. Man, if we start judging musicians by their appearance, we are all in trouble!!!
  20. Yeah, probably not the ideal placement but thats the fun thing with this hobby. Try it and if it doesnt work, I'm sure you could use that space for something else.
  21. Oh, I get it now.......... speakers! Looked like a set of thongs there for a minute!
  22. Cool discussion. I think Kiss should have a mention here. They sure started a fuss back in the day and I think Alice Cooper and Kiss were pioneers with the stage shows. One could argue that Black Sabbath is the Godfather of metal. Van Halen had a big album as well.
  23. Who wants tolerable??? Tolerable is unacceptable here Buddy. Now go get that subwoofer and turn tolerable into carnage! Mass Weapons of Destruction! More wooferage!
  24. I dont like them pointed directly at me either. I have my 7ii toed out slightly. For HT, I like the "wider" sound that little toe out gives. The 2.1 music sounds great like this as well.
