  1. Decided to bite my tongue and refrain from entering original thoughts. Too bad I cant issue warning points.
  2. The Op was working on his own interests. In my opinion, that doesnt make HIM the Butinsky.
  3. Close, the Chihuahua got stuck in the Rottweilers throat and choked to death. Oh boy, I ask forgiveness. No animals were harmed in the making of this joke.
  4. Dude, when he was eyeballing me for real, it wasnt hamburger he was smelling. It was fear he was smelling! Have you heard about that Chihuahua that killed that Rottweiler?
  5. LOL. That was inhumane and harsh punishment there wasnt it. I hereby release that Voo-Doo and wish you Bose-Free my friend.
  6. That did it! Why I oughta....... Here ya go....................BOSE!
  7. Hello Thad???? You need to protect your honor here. Come on! Hello??? (There he is staring at me again, cut it out). On the serious side, hope you beat the fire out of the Cancer, I mean open a serious can of woop arse on it. You never know how much time you have on this earth and the best I could ask for, as far as forum boards are concerned, is to hope my last post was kind and not hurtful to anyone. Now why in the heck is Thad staring at me again? Now CECAA's avatar is eyeballing me. I think I'm paranoid, but am I paranoid enough?
  8. And this is coming from The Chief Bonehead. He has spoken!
  9. Yeah, I noticed he stares at me when I move around. Like the picture on the wall, always staring. I thought he was hitting on me.
  10. Your not talking about the pic of Thad in his Speed-O at Hope gathering are you?
  11. You should edit the original post to: I'm a Programmer AND a Writer. Nice write up.
  12. Ditto. Now do cables make a difference or not????? Just kidding, dont need a debate!
  13. There was a thread about why subwoofers dont have a F Curve in them like violins. I think thats what is being asked or maybe I just showed my ignorance???
  14. Thats what kids and Grandkids are for.
  15. I disagree, you did nothing wrong by starting the thread in my opinion. You just stated what was in the news. It did take an awful turn and in the famous words of MXRDAD........ That thread was about to.... EXCEED THE LIMITATIONS OF MY MEDICATIONS!
  16. Welcome to the Forum AEA. I have to say you handled the situation with the dignity and respect. Very professional of you.
  17. Unfortunately, the only true way of knowing is to hear for yourself. If you can find a good used amp, from a reputable source, I'd say buy it and try it. You can always resell. Its a pain the arse but like others say, there is no right answer. Kinda like asking how long is a rope? I did the same with AVR's and right now I have a Denon, Pioner and Yamaha being used as a pre. So far, I like the Yamaha better but that does not mean in any way the Denon and Pioneer are bad. I just bought a used Sunfire Architect series II but havent had time to hook it up yet. I am using my Outlaw 7125 now. I did exactly what I'm recommending you do. Buy used, try em out and resell the one you dont want to keep. There is a risk buying used but there are also advantages.
  18. Try the Pioneer and dont be too quick to judge. MCAAC is easy to learn, just follow the bouncing ball. I can tell you that no matter which one you choose, settings is everything with modern AVR. I can change settings and make it sound completly different so if something doesnt sound right, check those settings. Both AVR's will sound good. That being said, with these AVR's being fairly equal, I highly recommend you look more at features/options. You may want pre-outs even though you dont think you want separates right now, you might change your mind. Maybe you have a friend that can bring an amp over to hear it? Or you find a great deal on a used amp? Look at the remotes on each, 4K, 3D, inputs/outputs, HDMI pass through, display (watch out for those porthole windows on Marantz unless you like that), Atmos, 12v triggers, are the triggers assignable? Etc, etc. Try to be as future-proof as possible while knowing what you buy today will be outdated sooner or later.
  19. Cool. I understand it a little better now and wont be using bi-wire. No need to complicate it as I'm pretty sure it will have enough power to get the job done. Thanks guys.
  20. Either one of those receivers will sound nice and it really gets down to what your ears like. If you like the sound of your Denon, then Marantz would be the way to go in my opinion. If you havent tried a Pioneer in your current setup, it may sound a little different but not much. I do like the fact you can manually adjust MCAAC (or whatever its called) after running it. Not sure if you can do that with Audy. I have a Pioneer and Denon receiver and I swap them out from time to time and they both sound great.
  21. Thats great. Get better Mr. King.
  22. Cool. This one will be top of the list as soon as it comes out in BD.
  23. RIP BB King, The King.
