  1. Everything is for sale for the right price [] Actually I do have a project on the drawing board (CAD actually) that I'd like to take on.
  2. THANX! The tops are 24.75" wide by 12.75" tall by 24" deep. They have a .75" board between the bass bin and the top. They are a bit taller than one piece La Scalas at 39.5" tall overall. Jeff
  3. I had not seen that before. Thank you for posting.
  4. I'm very impressed with the sound of the Emotiva ERC-1 that I bought last month. http://emotiva.com/erc1.shtm
  5. When you gotta go you GOTTA go... [:$]
  6. "Goodnight Gracie" [] Yes... sadly... I am old enough to know the reference.
  7. I have a roll of "peel & stick" walnut vinyl that might be just the thing for those. [] HMMM... Klipsch drivers and walnut cabinets. I bet you can get a couple of hundred for them on your local CL []
  8. The CV4024s are what I have in mine. I've not heard it with anything else so I'm taking it on faith that they're "as good as it gets" for those sockets. Interesting take on the Genelex KT88s. Bob Latino swears by them. Mine has Valve Art KT-88s installed. They were in it when I bought it. I've been wanting to play a bit of "tube rolling" and was planning to spring the $200 (OUCH) for a set of the Genelex as soon as I could but at $139 for a quad of Ruby Tubes I may give them a try. The SS rectifier in mine was simply a reliability choice. It's doubtful that I'll ever have much of a stock of "spare" tubes here if rectifier ever cooks. I did a LOT of research on the subject of SS rectifiers and the general conclusion was that it did not harm. Call it $29 worth of piece of mind. I had read a few places about the CV4024 being a bit "microphonic" in some cases so I just proactively bought the O-Ring dampers. Again very cheap ($10) insurance. I had some trouble with vibration with my Dynaco MK4s in my installation. That was ultimately resolved using concrete isolation bases for them. All I can tell you is that if the ST-120 / Cornwall combo sounds as good as it does with a pair of La Scalas you're going to LOVE it. THANX! Jeff Hoak
  9. I've got one of those driving a pair of La Scalas. Very nice amp. Mine gets played pretty much every day. Which tubes did you spec in yours? THANX! Jeff Hoak
  10. I would be very interested in learning more about this design. THANX! Jeff Hoak
  11. What is this word "wife" you speak of? I do not know this word. Please explain? []
  12. You can "rest" those Belles in my living room for a while. [] Say... Oh I don't know... Maybe 15 or 20 years... [] I'll take VERY good care of them and only feed them clean signal supplied by tube amplification.
  13. Would a Heresy owner please measure the diameter of the K-22 dust cap for me? I have a pair coming (long story - sweet deal) with damaged dust caps. I want to order a pair of replacements. THANX! Jeff Hoak
  14. And "en pointe" too... I'm very very impressed. Great job! Having been in the employ of many cats over the years I always thought that "training cats" was an oxymoron. []
  15. SpeakerLab W1508S woofers. Yes they were used in the KornerHorn clones. There was also a 4 ohm version of them. Very nice woofers indeed. HUGE bass output. Once I purchase another pair of drivers appropriate for IB use I'll be selling these. Interested?
  16. Not as part of the "general" catalog. 5" is as big as they go. The caps on the drivers are 6" or 6.5". I got 7 years out of them so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. I'll have to dig out my reciept but I think I paid $99 each for them in 2002. They were their 1st generation IB drivers. I just need to dust off the credit card and get something ordered. At the moment I have a pair of old SpeakerLab 15" woofers filling the holes. They're hooked up and they don't sound horrible but they're definately NOT IB drivers. I enabled the 30 Hz filter on my amp to help ensure the SpeakerLabs don't puke their cones in to the manifold at some point.
  17. Updated... I owe my son an apology. It was definately 7 years in a Florida attic that killed the IB drivers. The spiders have come unglued most of the way arround allowing the cones / voice coils to get out of line and rub. It looks like if I could find replacement dustcaps and the right shims/spacers that I could do a repair on them. HMMM...
  18. It's the magic pixie dust that he sprinkles inside the cabinets just before sealing them up. []
  19. As a matter of fact it is. A Da-Lite 92" 16X9 in matte white. Here's a picture of it deployed: On the other side of the room is the Hitachi PJ-TX100 Someday soon I'll spring for a 1080p projector.
  20. Yea... I'm pretty familiar with that reference... Check out the left side poster...
  21. From the time I sent my D50 to Nikon for service until I got it back was almost 9 months. I figured that the only way it could take that long is if they had shipped it to one of their shops located on an off-world colony. It was an attempt at humor... Forgive me... I'll know better next time...
  22. Coming from you Greg that is high praise indeed. Thanks! I had a chance to see and hear the KHorns that you did for Mike L. I have two thoughts on those speakers and his system. (1) I can't find the words to describe them both visually and sonicly and (2) I hate it when someone "raises the bar" [] Jeff
  23. I'll look at the system we have at the office tomorrow. It works very well and provides good video. It was in place when I started there so I don't know where it came from. I'll ask the guy that originally set it up. I have a friend who has a small sign hanging beside his front door that says: A gun lives here. If you'd like to find out what kind of gun it is step through this door uninvited.
  24. Here's the right side... The left side looks just like it []
