  1. I've got a few others from Dan as Well, Here is my Marantz 20B tuner also in Bubinga Burl Wood. And my Marantz 26 receiver in Curly Cheery. Clearly Outstanding...
  2. Dan built two cabinets for me. One for a McIntosh MC300 and the other for a McIntosh MCD7008. The cabinets are outstanding.....
  3. Curious... How did your setup work with your new "belles?" Were you pleased with the outcome?
  4. I'm still in the process of setting of the pair that I got last week (imaging, furniture arrangement, etc...) and no matter what I do, the sound quality/music reproduction is far beyond the norm. Currently I'm using a McIntosh 602 as the sole amp. for these speakers. I may decided, later to bi-amp, with a second 602. At this time I see no need to, as they sound so good. More later....
  5. I have had some success on Audiogon (LP's). It is amazing what you can find at good prices on this site.
  6. You did well, my friend.... I hope you enjoy it for years....

  10. Since no time frame is given, I'm going back to the sixties.... Southwest F.O.B. Smell of Incense Southwest F.O.B. ("Freight on Board") was a 1960s psychedelic rock group from Dallas, Texas, now perhaps best remembered because it featured Dan Seals and John Colley, who later found great success as the duo England Dan and John Ford Coley. Started by guitar player Larry "Ovid" Stevens when they were in high school in Dallas, the band secured a minor hit in 1968 (reaching number 56) with a cover of the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band song "Smell Of Incense," nationally released on the Stax subsidiary label Hip Records. The band's sole LP was also called Smell of Incense; it is currently in print as a remastered, expanded CD. Later success eluded them and the band broke up in 1969. Dan Seals died on March 25, 2009. From the obit article in the Dallas Morning News on March 27, 2009: "He (Seals)and classmate John Colley, who later changed the spelling of his last name to Coley, formed a group with three other Samuell students called the Playboys Five. That became Theze Few, which morphed into the legendary Dallas high school band Southwest F.O.B. 'We were very popular in the late 1960s,' Coley, 60, said Thursday from his home in Nashville, Ten., where Seals also lived. 'We even opened for Led Zeppelin and Three Dog Night, and remember, we were just high school kids.' " Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southwest_F.O.B."

  13. I'm adding a pair of PALLADIUM P-39F speakers to my HT/2 channel system. Any recommendation regarding speaker cable. The distance between speakers is approximately 14'. The speakers will be driven by a McIntosh MC602. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Boxx

  19. Yes, Reel to Reel is alive and well at my house. I currently use and listen to Teac, Akai, Pioneer, Sony and Sansui tape machines. I have transferred many cd and Ipod recordings to tape and the sound reproduction is much enhanced and better. Long live the reel to reel.
