  1. Definitely a TV. The rest of your setup looks good.
  2. http://www.klipsch.com/?cf0A52005C=YmF5ZXIxXG1qZGpsOmJheWVyMTptyrRLqIcfCa7lItcfx+pB Not sure if that will work, otherwise try and do a search on Rotel in the Home Theater section.

My only background in audio is reading this forum for the last few months after I rediscoved Klipsch speakers. I hooked up my new Denon 3803 a week ago and have the following two concerns: 1. Zone 2 -- My old Yamaha had a 'B' speaker option. It would power the B speakers independently or with the main A speakers. I used this option to power my outdoor speakers. Any way to get Zone 2 to control these speakers the same way without hooking up another amp? I do not need to have multiple inputs, just want to play the same thing in both areas. 2. Volume -- I haven't really been able to stretch the new receivers legs yet with any real loud volume. (That will change tonight with the wife gone.) But I find it weird that the lowest volume setting is about -65 yet I cannot hear anything at all until I get the volume down to under -40. With my 'efficent' RF-7's that seems odd to me. Just want to make sure I am not losing any power somehow. Final note for anyone going through the motions of a receiver purchase. I looked at most of the receivers discussed on this forum for a couple months. After multiple listenings, I came to the opinion that the HK and Denon sounded superior to anything else in my price range(that I could fine at stores). But I honestly couldn't tell any difference between the two in store environments. So I went with the Denon because of the PureDirect and the Video conversions. I have been very pleased with my choice. The remote is amazing and the receiver sounds great. Thanks for any help on my questions. ---------------- As far as playing the same music over A and B speakers, I believe all you would have to do is hook them up and push the speaker select button on the front (that's where mine is located) until both A and B are lit up. On mine however, I can't independently set the gain on them, so if the A speakers are set at +12 dB, so are the B. Not good if you have different brands of speakers that have different sensitivities. Not sure about the 3803. All Denon's, as far as I know, don't put out substantial volume until -40 or greater. Mine is the exact same way. When I had my Denon playing CD's and the KG-4's hooked up to it, a good, loud volume would be approximately -20, with the speakers set at 0dB. I have never gone over -10. Glad to hear you are enjoying your Denon.
  4. Set them to small. Mine are on small and I have no popping. Post back if it doesn't work.

Would Rotel make these speakes sound warm or bright? Thanks ---------------- Several people on here run Rotel with Klipsch and seem to like the sound it makes. 380W is far more power than you would ever need with a Klipsch speaker. I have no idea how it would sound, but someone else with a similar setup could tell you.
  6. I don't think Paypal is taking a cut. Just put .01 in there and send 5.01. No big deal. Paypal is receiving 0% of the money. You'll have to ask Justin why it's setup that way.
  7. I think me all need something to cheer us up today. Matrix Ping Pong! http://users.bigpond.net.au/eamon/matrix-pingpong.wmv
  8. Yeah, please let us know if you need anything.

  10. Not any time soon, unfortunately.
  11. Anyone know? He just vanished one day.
  12. I hate clutter too, but there isn't anyway around it when you're stuck in a bedroom. Almost forgot...Lookin real good.
  13. Both of the H/K's, 1 pair of KG-4's, KV-3, and the KG-1.2's. Still looking for more.

I was talking to my non-audio-fanatic friend as I was hooking up the speaks, complaining about the left being so much louder than the right. I told him how I had checked the wires, checked connections, flipped speakers. He walked up to the receiver and changed the balance. Kill me now hehehehe. It sounds dang good right now!!! ---------------- DOH!! lol
  15. Thanks for the replies. We'll look a little closer and see if they say anything about refurb'd units.
  16. sorry double post. why cant we delete these?
  17. My brother is contemplating purchasing the HK 525 from Onecall or JandR. Has anyone had any bad experiences with either company? It says they're both authorized dealers and have the unit for $699, while it's $1000 at the local Circuit City. Something seems off here. $300 difference? Anyone care to shed some light on this or suggest something else? Thanks in advance.
  18. My Denon starts out at -60 and goes to +18 or +15 (can't remember). Anyways, -40 is about normal speaking voices, -30 is about a very loud scream, and -20 is good for jamming. Never taken it above -10. I believe the HT receivers are built like this so we can fine tune the volume easier. Just keep turning the knob and get it to the volume you prefer.
  19. I'm sure it's the same as the Kansas City/St.Louis thing you'll be hearing about soon enough. KC says Pop STL says Soda (Easiest way to differ between someone if you don't know which side of the state their from) Oh, and everything IS NOT a Coke no matter what you Texans believe Chiefs/Rams Cardinals/Royals It will get really old, really quick.
  20. I have been told that refinishing flat black to anything like oak or walnut would be next to impossible, hence the reason why I'm looking for another pair of Walnut KG-4's.
