Marlins/Rugers with the pot the metal reciver are good for 6K to 8K rounds tops, and that is not much when your a kid. Marlins have been made in the Philippines since the 70s and Ruger, altough american made has now gone with a Plastic polymer trigger housing I stick with my original post, just a simple comment on MY EXPERIENCE. I do not/did not attack another forum poster with an, i can outshoot you any day of the week crap. Minermark, no offense was taken at my end. This is why there is more than chocolate and vanilla. I do however disagree with your summary of Marlin. The Golden 39A, up until Marlin was aquired by Remington were always and still are built here in the US, for close to if not more than a 100 years. All parts are still forged metal, not that cheap stamped metal. The Marlin catalog has a lot of firearms, maybe a few have been made in the Philipines but never the Golden 39, 39A. Always was manufactured in New Haven CT. Sounds like your baseing your opinion on a later model Post 1970, Marlin has .22 that sell for a couple hundred new and then the Golden which has an MSRP well North of $700.00 At the end of the day you get what you pay for. Twisted Crank; Yes, they have been selling on Gunbroker for about $850.00 + in Very fine condition to $1,000+ new in box. Paid $400.00 for NIB in 2001. One of the few guns in my collection that have appreciated aside from some family heirlooms. Very fun little carbine to shoot. Best regards, John

Believe it or not, I can find .22 Magnum easier than .22LR, longs or shorts. I have a Savage B Mag chambered in .17WSM and it is also readily available in my area. Best regards, John

OK... Here we go! LOL..... I know many will curse me and many will say so what. But the simple fact of the matter is that the "Black Gun" market has done more than any other single factor in driving the shortage of .22 ammunition. It all began when guys started changeing out 5.56 uppers to .22 in order to shoot cheaper. I have been hunting all my life, I buy maybe a thousand rounds a year for plinking amd hunting small game with a .22 Black gun guys spit that out over a weekend. This is the main reason for the shortage and ridiculos price, A Remington Bucket O Bullets which someone posted earlier has an MSRP of $69.00 in todays market, which is still over inflated INMHO. Granted we will never see the days of 500 rounds of .22 for $6.00 but still way to overpriced. Best regards, John

Thinking about getting a sub into the equation again. Had a Velodyne that I sold a year or two ago which was a wired connection. SVS and Klipsch both appear to have a wireless connection. Anyone have any experience with? What requirements are there for my preamp / amp as far as integration? I am running a vintage Adcom GFP 750 pre, along with a 2 channel Adcom 565SE Bipolar amp. I have always been a fan of Hammer horror films, anything with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. I mean whats not to like? Classic British horror with beautiful co stars and a little, OK a lot of clevage! Seriously though abnyone know of a Region 1 collection of the classics? Old School Hammer IE, Frankenstein, Dracula, Mummy etc. Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee staples. Everything I see on FleaBay is ususally not compatibale.
