  1. Had a couple of pioneer receivers before with my klipsch and really loved them. Never had a yamaha but the marantz i have had have been okay.
  2. 65" vizio M series 2015 model. Get a 4 year warranty
  3. OP be patient. The rc-52ii would be ideal but would you consider getting a rc-62ii and eventually getting rf-62ii or rf82ii and moving the 42 to surround duty?
  4. I would not live with the issue. The speakers look perfect and you bought them new, you want them to sound perfect. Try to get them to diagnose and send you parts. If they will not then bite the bullet and ship it back and get a new one. Good luck! Post some pics when you get a chance, love to see the new line
  5. Okay, sounds like my same situation! I guess i will just have to keep my emotiva xpa-200. I do not turn my system up at all so it is really a waste!
  6. Hey all, just got a set of rf-82ii speakers and am loving them. I finally boxed up my emotiva XPA-200 and want to use just my harmon kardon 3390 receiver. The problem is that the right channel has static! I have done troubleshooting and inputs/ cords / speakers do not seem to be the problem, it is the right channel amplifier. Any thoughts to fix this? I really do not need the emotiva amplifier in my small room.
  7. tempting but i can wait it out until a pair shows up closer
  8. I am looking for some 82s but am in south bend indiana
  9. Ever get around northern Indiana? There is a seller selling two and another pair of speakers. I am interested in the other pair of speakers and could get and hold a rsw-12 or two for you
  10. Thanks! I had to sell of my RF7ii system a few years ago due to inner ear problems. My ear is getting a little better and i have a good job now so i have been treating myself. I have a pair of RF-52 in my bedroom and just got a pair of Mirage OMD-28s for my living room. Also, delivering a second pair of RF-3(these ones are immaculate) to my dad today! I was looking forward to hearing a sub in my bedroom settup but i guess the timing is not right
  11. Is klipsch still refurbing these, or is there any options to get them repaired? Mine has started blowing fuses
  12. Hey my thread is still going strong, cool . Keep rocking out guys!
  13. No i have not. I actually noticed this a while ago so the issue has held up to two different TV stands and a couple of receivers and am now on a emotiva umc-1 and upa-5. It is flat sitting on a shelf below the tv now. How would i be able to check it with a spl meter?
  14. Yes unfortunately i am still having ear problems and cannot use the speakers to their fullest and they are residing with my parents right now. Yeah i understand they may not be perfect tonal matches and i have not spent a lot of time EQing. I do have to turn the center up to the highest setting compared to the RF-7ii. Me and my family sometimes have a hard time hearing dialogue. Again has anyone taken off their horns from these reference designs? Also is the crossover in the back super easy to check (just for obvious signs) by pulling a few screws?
  15. I have a RF-7ii setup and have noticed for a while that my center just does not have the awesome clarity on the higher frequencies that my RF-7ii have. Talking to klipsch customer support they told me to switch the tweeter drivers out from my rc-64ii to one of my RF-7ii and then compare the two RF-7iis. Does anyone have some hints for taking the tweeter out? I am having a hard time pulling the bezel away from the horn to get at the tweeter. Has anyone else had issues with the tonal mismatches between the RF-7ii and the RC-64ii?
  16. my parents just got a 60'' sharp (LC-60LE830U). It was pretty impresive watching "Life" the other night. TV has some minor clouding or flashlighting going on. Thats what you get with edge lit led though. How does yours fair in that aspect?
  17. Check the capictors while you have them opened up. These amps are around 10 years old in most cases so the caps do need to be checked. Also if you smell a rotten egg smell coming from it when it is turned on that can be a sign of a bad cap. Sometimes with these amps too you will hear a buzz through your speakers if you just have the amps on but your source is not turned on. 4 at $125 a piece with a hopefully fixable one for free is not bad. Let us know what you figure out.
  18. But my parents do. I actually just set them up over at their house and they sound great. Was worried that they sounded too bright when i first hooked them up but after switching to the right sound modes that brightness disappeared and i remembered why i bought klipsch over lets say polk. They are currently searching for a good 60'' TV and then they will have quite a nice HT. They are going to be going 5.0 eventually and they are using a umc-1 and a upa-5. I am looking for a pair of rs-52ii currently to finish their system out.
  19. Usisng digital coax or optical pretty much passes along the digital signal and then the pre-pro uses its dacs to decode the signal. To get the major benefits of a better cd player you need to use the older composite connections.
  20. That looked like some spectacular gear, i thought for a second its was yours! Did you have the dvd player hooked up via older stile component cables at one point? You need to do that to utilize the internal dacs for cd playback. You could have done the same with the ps3 with the original cord it came with.
  21. If you do not live in the states then shipping may be more, hiking up the price.
  22. It is good for the early adopters. A1UC let us know how that goes with those 62s. I need to find me a pair for my parents new ht.
