I shouldn't have passed up the opportunity to purchase a brand new pair of Klipsch Belle speakers from the Ramstein AAFES BX at a great price back in 1985, but I thought they would be too big for my dorm room. Should have made them fit.

Well, my username is a personalized butchering of a character from Marvel's 'Ghost Rider' comic with a unique spelling change thrown in. It sounded cool back in 1980 when I used to play Dungeons & Dragons...I needed a new character name. I designed this, and it stuck. It's one of a few names I go by when I'm online nowadays. I just went on terminal leave for 70 days starting yesterday. I'm finally retiring from the AF on 1 April after 22 1/2 years of service. Now starting my second career employed as a Civil Servant.

Speaking of good westerns, I'd be more than happy to watch a Sergio Leone film on my setup any day of the week. If you don't know what those films are, you're missing out. BTW, if you don't like the LOTR films, fine. I realise nothing I can say (type) or do will change that. You don't have to like it, it's your loss, I suppose. What I can't understand is why some people think it necessary to use caustic language to describe their dislike of a film, and use thinly veiled insults at those who disagree. Well, I guess I'll just have to put all three LOTR extended edition DVD's back on the shelf, as to not offend anyone. Looks as though I'll have to start playing my copies of the Star Wars original trilogy over and over instead. Sucks to be me.

I am also a fellow Klipsch fan, and one of those that serves our country (Air Force Master Sergeant) Despite the fact you probably don't know me or have ever read one of my (very, very few) posts, I still want to wish you all the best. I hope your deployment is a good one, and that you get back home safe and sound as soon as you can. Even though I am rapidly approaching the end of my military career (28 days until I go on Terminal Leave and retire on 1 April) I want you to know that each and every one of you who are 'over there' remain in our thoughts, and that your sacrifices will never be forgotten. After reading that last post, all I can think to say is a cheesy Star Wars reference: Welcome back to the Light side of the Force.

I purchased a pair of KG 3.2's for my son's bedroom to replace a pair of Sony SS-MB355H Bookshelf Speakers he was using (no small improvement, I'm sure you agree) to hook up to my '84 Technics SU-V8X solid state integrated amp. Now, I use the Sony's with a recently purchased vintage SA-500 Technics receiver to put into the master bedroom for Cable TV/DVD use. I still need to upgrade with Klipsch bookshelf size (must be smaller than the 3.2's though...suggestions?) All that, and I finally got my Mitsubishi 62525 DLP HDTV to go with the rest of my Klipsch 5.1 Reference setup in my living room.

I recently purchased a pair of 3.2's (oiled oak). Amazing sound from a small speaker...very few bookshelf speakers will match its dynamics. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

If I had the bucks and the room, I'd definately go for them, especially since they're in my local area. Good luck!

What is the auction #?

I've been hooked for awhile now. (See profile). Now, I think I should start looking for another pair of Klipsch in the next month or so to replace the cheap Sony bookshelf speakers I have in the master bedroom. Maybe another pair of 3.2's to match with my '78 vintage Technics SA-500 receiver.

I was browsing through that popular online auction site (you know the one). Item number 5736102968. No ties whatsoever with the seller (and definately NO endorsement implied), only passing the info along...because I've read here in the forums how hard this speaker is to come by. I assume there's always someone looking for an Academy, so I thought I'd mention it here. Just potentially trying to help out a fellow Klipsch forum member. (you know, this would match up pretty well with my KG 3.2's....nah. )

*bump* Anyone have a list with MSRP for the KG series from the 90's? Well, more listening with the 3.2's....heard classic Supertramp, Led Zeppelin, and for more modern bands, some Gorillaz. These speakers are all that, and more. I'm impressed! I'm more happy with every passing moment...every song just sounds better on Klipsch.

You're welcome. Now that I've got these hooked up and had a listen, I'm almost glad I didn't go with the 4.2's. They would have been too big and (perhaps) too much speaker for the bedroom. Of course, when teenagers are involved, decisions like 'too big' or 'too much' don't figure into the equation very often. But in this case, my son agrees. These 3.2's are perfect. Out of curiosity, does anyone know what the original MSRP was for KG 3.2 each/pair back in the day when they were still being produced? I'm sure that for the price I paid for this used pair, I couldn't have done any better. Unless, of course, someone wants to sell me a pair of Cornwalls for around $150. Thought not.

Well, I took delivery on my new (to me, they're new) Klipsch KG 3.2 speakers. Let me tell you, despite the fact I already own Klipsch Reference speakers, I was floored by the amazing sound these smaller 3.2's produce. From the opening of Pink Floyd's 'Time' to the punchy acoustic display on Rush's 'YYZ', and wrapping up with Afrika Bambaataa's 'Planet Rock' just for kicks...those speakers played every note and begged for more. Me = happy.

If this system is primarily for movies and TV watching, I can recommend the WDST's. I have a Reference 3 setup, and I can highly recommend the WDST's (I have RS-3's) for movies, and normal TV viewing (especially Football broadcasts in HD with DD 5.1 audio!) When I listen to music, it's the old-fashioned 2-channel variety. I only own a couple of 5 channel audio disks. Even so, the RS-3's still do the job admirably. BTW, I've given the new Synergy series a listen, and the B3, F3, S3, and C3 are great value for the money. I still prefer my own Reference speakers (owner's bias, I guess), but the larger Synergy speakers compare favorably. Or, try to pick up some used Reference 3's. Either way, you can't go wrong. As to your original question (B3 vs F1), I'd go with the B3, especially since you already have a subwoofer to fill in the bass.

I'll let you know when I get them....and review will be forthcoming. How does the KG 3.2 compare sound-wise to the RF-3? Well, I'm going to find out.
