  1. Don't know what size bar or chain you're running But I can sharpen a chain to cut better than new. I like those round ones too. Not the best, but will certainly do a good job. You should use the file type that the chain is made for. For most of us that is the round one, most of the time. I like to have a gauge as they are cheap and will keep your angle of cut on the tooth proper, Unless your running a chisel bit, which I doubt. The gauge will also allow you to keep the riders the right height which makes a lot of difference. A good sharp chain will cut you quick as a knife without the saw. I've made up a few chains from bulk chain. For filing the riders you would want a file that is flat to the rider. A flat file is easier to use for this, but not mandatory.
  2. Used to play a varmint caller around the house. Our female dog at the time would get all kinds off out ta shape when we called with the coyote puppies whining. She did not care about the wounded rabbit, or anything else on there. Just Play The Whining Pups and she got wound up right now, and for as long as you would play it. I think we Banned it when the dog was anywhere around. That said I have a caller that has some kind of speaker that looks about right to fit those cheer Leader Horns the use at ballgames. You could trim the cone to fit, or tape it up with Duct tape. Animals in the wild can both hear and smell very well. Make sure to set them up wind of you, I've seen animals just git a whiff of of someone coming and take off.

    It's Here!

"...and it shall be known as Clubola...and there will be much rejoicing across the lands..." Give the doctors, and all other medical staff coming home to the states a Luxury accommodations. Or at least a reasonable Facsimile. We cannot forget the help that travels with them. We really do need to with something that that makes the quarantine seem more like Club Med. The people can interact as they please.
  4. Sounds like a very nice unit. I have found only one unit of that time period. and it had been used and the plastic was not perfect. Nice! To bad I'm not in the market. 38 watts of Marantz is enough for most uses.

Quarantine should be required for everyone that has been in contact with patients or from area containing Plague. Quarantined people should be made as comfortable as possible. But need to be monitored. We need to treat the people as best we can, but realize that confinement by any other name is still confinement. Just my view
  6. Sounds like a very nice unit. I have found only one unit of that time period. and it had been used and the plastic was not perfect. Christmas is coming, time to look for deals for Christmas and birthday and of course the ones given just because you want to give I am interested in what you want for it and where do you live. Got to teach the kids that the older generation was into making good sound with 60's and 70' gear. Oh some of the units are even earlier then the 60's sound very good and command premium prices. My oldest is worth the most of what I have. But can't complain about these older machines.
  7. Room is carpeted, ceiling is 8'. Wanted opinions and got them. Thank You.
  8. Has anyone hooked up La Scala and Khorns in series using the 16 ohm output on an amp? Have 2 set of La Scala and 1 set of Khorns. I'm considering placing a La Scala just in front of each Khorn. Somehow I am under the impression that La Scala's are better in the mid-range then the Khorns. Would like to run home theater and stereo. Would there be an issue with using the surround receiver like a tuner and go to tube amps and tube receivers. Did not know where this should go. Stereo or Home Theater. Setup would be Khorns and 1 pair on La Scalas, On the back wall would be other pair of La Scala. The TV does not clear the La Scalas so that pretty much rules out using a couple of them as centers.
  9. Put up a Pole and play some slinky music. 12 gauge is much more effective then 22. You don't want to give them any chance of getting you in line with their business end. As for Halloween tarheel might have a better chance at winning a prize if he were to dress up as a Sexy Female Nurse. The Lady friend can be your patient. You should be able to win if you so desire, and take it to extremes.
  10. Yep, that's what it is. Glad someone pointed it out to me before I got involved. Won't get on the soap box at this time. I kinda like some political debate in this forum. However name calling contributes nothing to the thread other than showing ignorance and a lack of respect for others. I can see where an exception to my statement would be where at least the poster and the person being called something know it is in jest. Perhaps we are being tested to see if we are intelligent enough to be civil when political statements are made. Thus allowing more room to step in it before scraping it off our shoe.
  11. Better she has concerns. Not like the people that have been exposed and have the 'it could not happen to me attitude!' Grandmothers rock. This one sounds special.
  12. Time to do that has LONG past. Better late then before it's Too Late Now that's just crazy. Should this get established in this country we may find out different. Either way is not tolerable
  13. Counterpoint, this guy is not quiet and he seems a little dangerous: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=543_1350869842 He shot himself for attention. Not the usual violent type, but is certainly the stupid one. I wonder what his mental diagnoses is. Not really but I do have my suspicions.
  14. I would not be afraid to try out Sansui 9090, 9090DB, or any of their close siblings 8080 etc. Of course if you are offered what you're looking for so much the better. I have the 9090 and the 9090db and Marantz 2325. I could not tell you which I prefer, but if pressed I might go with 9090DB. That said I've had a few Marantz from the 70'S. The only reason I don't still have a 2270 & 2285B, is because I thought they made quality gifts for people I care about. That and there is only so much room for stereo equip. at home.
  15. You know you've gone to hell when you get up in the middle of the night to blow your nose and know you should have looked at that toilet paper before putting it to your nose. ! You know you've gone straight to Hell when...
  16. Have to agree that usually the most dangerous are the quite ones. And when they come uncorked, Look Out. Not a place I want to go. I'd rather lead a peaceful life. As much as possible.

    It's Here!

God help us as there seem to be too many idiots stirring the pot and stoking the fire. Obviously the world would be better off without so many people. I expect to see more pandemic's in the future. I would hope I'm wrong but time will tell. Does anyone know how far back the mamale that has survived the longest so far, has been here? Might give us a target to aim past.

    Honda ATC 70 Rebuild

Then you should. I knew a guy who kept a Harley in one of the living rooms in his mom's house. I got a buddy that keeps my KTM 550 MXC in his living room for me. Plenty of future dirt bike riders have sat on it and dreamed of riding.
  19. You seem to have a nice receiver as is. But you will never know if you would rather run tubes until you try them. Even then the tube equipment varies depending on what you got..
  20. Did ya get a little buzz on with the garage door closed. Done that myself once with contact cement and putting some kind of wall covering in a bathroom. 1 match and I think we'd been history.
  21. Sounds comparable to trying to race your Geo Metro on the Freeway. It just ain't going to work. He don't need more power as much as he needs more efficient speakers.. Or he could put those speakers outside weather permitting. But I suspect he still will not be satisfied.
  22. He might use a 12 gauge power cord to a different circuit to check if the breaker he is presently using is bad. If it continues to trip breaker on different circuits it is not a breaker problem.

    Increase in mileage

Usual milage between 28 to 31 mpg. Filled up and divided miles driven by fuel used = 36+ miles per gallon. Carrying 1.5 gallons in the trunk just incase I push it too far. That will get me to a fuel station should I run out on the road. No problems noted as of this time.
