  1. Careful with your hearing my friend. But you know that
  2. @dirtmudd looks as if summer has held off as long as possible....we knew it was coming. Don't get heatstroke or anything OK?
  3. yea we'z like peas and carrots and love having you post with us again. Have you had any good coffee lately? Or cocktails? Speaking of which......where's that salt shaker?...……..
  4. That looks tasty. Especially with roasted garlic.
  5. Uh huh⚽ Missed it by that much.
  6. Schu, Get that thang fired up. I've had one for over 30 years, I love it. Grill a steak, smoke up some ribs, roast a turkey. And a course more chicken any man ever seen.
  7. Page 1955, my birth year. Just had to pop in here before it's gone. So y'all got the whole week off, or just Independence day? I'm taking the 5th and 6th making a 5 day weekend. Mmmmmm…..roasted garlic
  8. McBlue...I did not have a tape measure with me but pretty sure they're the same size as always.
  9. Are you picking up AM or FM? I've heard of equipment picking up AM broadcasts because of a parasitic AM detector in their set up. After all, all it takes is a diode to detect AM. If it's FM I'm at a loss.
  10. Soy gives me gas, I know TMI. Just sayin'. No thank you
  11. Point well taken. Sorry.
  12. And yet here we all is. RIP Mr.K "Better to be paralyzed from the neck down than the neck up" - C.K.
  13. Heck yea. Love build threads. Houses and speakers
  14. Balderdash. And the k400 metal exponential flare horn originals in my KHorns and Lascalas wanna be wooden tractrix horns too, but they're NOT
  15. I'm the thread starter so I fixed it for you. There is no such thing as luck excepting maybe in card games and Futbol(oh sorry, soccer) Thanks everyone for all the compliments and suggestions. I know I still have to get these better dialed in. More will be revealed as they say.
  16. Yes it could of course be that. Audio memory (at least mine) is so allusive(is that the correct word?) I'm in Roy's demo room in Hope going Wow! those sound really good. Or I'm at Trent's house in Idaho going Wow! those sound really good. Then I'm back home with my KHorns and Lascalas saying Wow! this sounds pretty darn good also. But now I've had Jubes in the same room where my KHorns and Lascalas were/are and they sound better. The K402 of course but I was surprised how much better the bass sounds.
  17. Just one small tidbit extra, Here in CA with our suck azz water quality I know the valves will fail. There is no doubt. That's why I put in a union on both sides of the valves. When it fails, undo the wires and unions. Unthread the union halves from bottom of failed valve, install into new valve. Reattach unions and wires, ur done 5 minutes.
  18. Yes Sir room treatments, check. I am certainly not finished but at least to the point where when time is available I can start taking measurements. I am using some preliminary settings I got from ChrisA for the Jubes with TADs. I've got a new laptop, the UMIK, REW and the Xilica app. They sound fantastic, the 402 horns are amazing. The stereo soundstage is so wide. And the lower registers from the LF cabinets make me think there is/was something wrong with my KHorns and LaScalas that I need to investigate. Like maybe the back chambers for the woofers are leaking or??
  19. Yea but that's in Texas where things prolly make sense Growing up in Michigan no one had built in irrigation. It rained often enough it just wasn't necessary or you put a "sprinkler" on the end of your hose when needed. Then moving out here this clustering of valves is the only way I've seen it done, never thought much about it.
  20. Yes there is an anti-siphon on each sprinkler valve. Don't know if they sell'em any other way out here. And there is a back flow preventer for the whole she-bang just my side of the water meter which I have the privilege of paying $50 every year to get "checked".😠
