A question I have: Did this sound OK? Or was the AK2 so bad anything would sound better?

I totally could be wrong about what was removed. It was a while ago. How about a more general question. For those of you with AA networks how are they hooked up? Do you have your wires from the amp to the crossover then three sets out to Low/Mid/Highs?
YES. I'm with you @rplace I'm confused. If you took out all the woofer filter components then hooked the output of the amp directly to both woofer and input to the AA or Super AA then the woofer is getting a full range signal and the impedance your amp is seeing is who knows what.

Christy,
Sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. What is her first name? God loves names. I hope you and Elden are doing OK. God Bless you.

If switch is "Make- Before- Break" wouldn't that work? For an instant(in the order of milliseconds) your two 8 ohm speakers would present a 4 ohm load to the amp. I am not a tube amp guru but a momentary lower impedance load would be preferable to a open load?

A computer program that I write (well, they give me a template and I configure it as I please) that processes the digital audio
Who gives you the template? ASIO SDK from Steinberg?

I was once president of a softball league sponsored by a distributing company. He gave us money so I wanted to be supportive and drink his brands. The problem? His products were Pabst Blue Ribbon, Wiedemann, Old English 800.
Questions?

Yea the first one that @CECAA850 linked to is the one I think Bob Crites says is a POS. He went to a manufacturer in Poland(?) to get drivers made for his CT125. The second may be the old APT50 that is OK. But female threads??

I doubt you could save very much by building yourself. Also, when Al does it they are a work of art. I have been satisfied with the performance as well.
I second this. You MIGHT save a few bucks on the big ticket items but once you get every little terminal and misc. piece and spend the time searching for them, it's a wash.
@brownaye I'm sending you a PM.
Help with banana plugs

A banana plug that is not a banana plug? Huh? Did you try crimping down the the little tines that look like the peel of a banana(hence the name) with a pair of pliers? Just close them down a little bit not until they are flat.
