  1. Anyone else with any idea's? I only have an old skill saw so any tuba sub would be out.
  2. This is what I use. I'm very satisfied...http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GX31G6/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details Chris That is very cool. And it hasn't harmed any CDs? If so I'll have to try that I have a couple CDs that skip on my favorite songs. Just take one to your local Used video game shop. I bet they have one? Mine will do a lightly scratched one for $2.00 and if it is really bad I think it was $4.00.
  3. The best cheapest for this is to stop feeding your cat. Nature will take its course. The cat WILL find food. And that will be the critters.
  4. Just read a little article about this product. Looks nice BUT I will never purchase ANY product that only states Apple or IPOD compatible. They need to change it to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth Compatible. I myself have boycotted Apple.
  5. I can not seem to find a setting with my AVR for 2.1 music. So I am thinking of replacing my 52's at the rear surrounds and using them on an old AVR for a 2.1 system just for music. My question is what is a sub $300 sub that would go with the RF 52 II. One that people say is a good musical one. I do not want one that can go real low. Something that will give you more of a Led Zepplin bass drum slap in the chest. I have a pair of Advent legacy's that always sounded good with music. But the surrounds are shot and I can not seem to find the same surrounds to fix. But is there a sub that can reproduce sound like that? I am thinking a sealed one might be the way to go? However I have never listened to a sealed sub. Or even a diy project would be good. In that case then what speaker/amp and type of box volume.
  6. Thats a good idea for a living room with matching wireless surround speakers?
  7. I read THIS was how you rolled Well that's **** I mean lame well really ****. No matter what anyone says its "A pretty great state". Yes that was an official state slogan/motto. And yes we really do have drive in theaters here. A lady from New York asked me that once. Anyway I wouldn't want to live any place else.
  8. just don't be this guy http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45756842/ns/business-autos/t/man-wins-lamborghini-crashes-it-will-sell-it/ A truck driver who won a $380,000 Lamborghini in a convenience store contest crashed the sports car six hours after he got it, and he now plans to sell the 640-horsepower convertible because he can't afford the insurance or taxes. Thats how we roll in Utah.
  9. Some times you might just find a dusty white residue at the point of leaking. But if it is changing the color of the coolant then it sounds like a head gasket. But that would normally make the engine run hot. I don't know if I would trust any product that says it can fix a head gasket. Liken it to a foam surround getting a crack in it. Sure you might get a glue to work for a while but eventually it done. Plus if it full on blows? Motor could be unfix-able.
  10. It's a pretty cool process for shaping metal. Here are a few vids. The first one is old way to make it and the second is the new way. That would sure make one heck of a sub.
  11. As far as I have read it has to do with the color of the veneer. Klipsch did not like it but they went a head and made a whole bunch with the veneer that they did not like? And that is the only difference.
  12. I have been more than happy with my 70". I have not had to have it calibrated and been very happy with the picture so far. I have seen other brands out of the box with really crappy picture. When I looked at these at costco two side by side one with the yellow and one without. There was a big difference in my opinion. If you do not "need" 3D its pretty good for what it is.
  13. Just get a bigger TV? Problem solved. I just noticed at costco the other day sharp now has a 80" TV.
  14. Just go in and find the most gullible looking salesman (and same shirt size) and butter him up with some BS that you love bose and looking to set up room number 3 and that you just love their shirts and would love to get one and would be proud to wear one. See where it leads? I know I could not do this without laughing out loud.
  15. Thats funny. I used to have a white 1980 lincoln town car. For the Sundance film festable in Park City, Utah one year I spray painted in black paint the words "Sundance Sucks" on the sides of the car. Oh and I had some long horn bulls horns on the hood of the car. And I would drive up and down main street with the sterero thumping. Still makes me laugh thinking about that.
  16. I am sure it would be tougher to get them to standardize the conections for you compaired to them buying a $400 washer for a leaky sink?
  17. You should tell your boss its about flow not pressure. At a golf course I used to work at we had a 12" main line with about 1600 heads on about 140 acres. We used one 750 cfm compressor. It was a day and a half process. If you used two 185's at 150-200 psi on 3/4 or 1" inlets. You would have better results with a 300-400 cfm compressor on a 2" inlet at 120 psi.
  18. Be careful with the pressure. Things start to blow up with higher pressure. 100 to 150 might be ok. I do not like to go over 100.
  19. Hey its what I do. https://sites.google.com/site/wasatchsprinklermanagementllc/home So.... first thing is can you isolate the sprinkler system from everything else? If you can isolate it you will be able to quickly find out if you are loosing water in the house or out. For the inside I have seen water softeners malfunction and waste water 24/7. I am not sure but a RO water system could possible do this also. I have not run across a clock/timer that can still supply power when it is in the off position. Yet that is. Just unplug it and nothing can happen. In Utah we have stop and waste valves that tee off of the main line to supply the sprinklers. If those valve go bad water will leak out the waste hole 24/7. If you have sandy soil it can take months of buildup to rise to the surface. If you can isolate it then shut that valve. Check your meter. If it is moving time it. Time how much it moves in 15 seconds. Then open your sprinkler isolation valve and time the meter again. If there is ANY difference that valve is going bad. If there is no change see if you have a valve in the house where the water comes in the house. Close it if the meter stops then you are loosing it in the house. If you have the sprinkler system and the house valve isolated and the meter is still moving then you have a leak in the main line to the house. Have you noticed any sprinkler heads weeping? If you have any water coming from a head then the valve needs to be fixed. If your valves are in boxes in the ground just put your ear close and if you hear and hissing or water flow just replace it. The quickest and easiest way to fix a valve is to try and find a whole one of the same brand/model and swap the tops. If they are old just put in new ones. Saves a lot of head aches. Just take out the screws/bolts holding it together on both valves. On the old valve everything from the diaphragm, top, screws and solenoid throw away and put on the new parts. Make sure to have perfectly clean. Even a grain of sand in the wrong place will cause problems. With all that being said sometimes leaks like this can be tricky to find. My number is on my web site if you want to give me a call. And if you are at a loss it might be good to call someone in your area that is familiar with how systems are set up in your area I am not sure what people charge in your area but an average here is $60.00 per hour for repair.
  20. Go for the RW-12d from newegg. Wait til it goes on sale for $350 with free shipping.
  21. I have really been getting into F1 in the past 5 years and really love it. Can't wait until Texas and NJ. Anyone run across full race videos of the old races? I wish I knew about F1 in the Shumi days.

    Will it take off?

I do not understand how/why anyone would give this question half a thought? Anyone with a shred of intelligence knows the answer is no. I do not understand why this is such a hard concept for a lot of people to understand? They say humans are getting smarter in time but they are losing their common sense. Even the mythbusters debunked it.
  24. Anyone come across a new list of 7.1 movies? I found this one but it is about 1 year old. http://forum.blu-ray.com/blu-ray-movies-north-america/159814-list-bds-7-1-audio.html I know on video games my receiver when setup on auto surround will show R-C-L-LS-RS-LR-RR-LFE but it has never shown all 4 surrounds working when watching a movie. Are there any true 7.1 movies?
