  1. I get that, too! She's not THAT much younger than me, she just looks the part. Well, the car is right about 65k and we bought it used. They may have been the original pads.
  2. I would have to fly, which would raise the cost a bit.
  3. Took wife's car in for oil change... Rear brakes, critical Front brakes, borderline That puts a big dent in the budget. Got the used car last year, not sure where all the maintenance and wear was when we got it. Wife went from two smaller, lighter cars to her Nissan Rogue. She tends to drive right up to cars at a traffic light... and push on the brakes. I told her that she could let off on the gas when approaching the red light. I think she will start doing better now.
  4. Those are all Klipsch parts from a Belle Klipsch. Th woofers (15") should be K-33s, the drivers for the midrange horns, maybe labeled k-55 would be atlas or electrovoice depending on the years. The tweeters (k77s) look like the EV alnico drivers. The Belle Klipsch looked like these and are no longer being made.
  5. Yes, some pics might determine what tweeter you could put in there. Some specs on the original would help, too. Many of the drivers used are off the shelf units, that have been slightly tweaked. It's becomes how everything is integrated to make the whole speaker.
  6. Very disappointing news, indeed. At least with many speakers in the Klipsch lineup, you can swap in another component if the original isn't available. Even if not perfect it's not a total loss. Sorry to hear this infomation.
  7. True, he could have been making a joke about Bobby Sherman the singer.
  8. https://support.klipsch.com/hc/en-us/requests/new I'll see if I can get another phone number, too.
  9. @BubbleCub Are these new? Could you post a pic by any chance? I have some of the same drivers.
  10. I couldn't get the link correct, but you can call to ask about parts: If you would like to inquire on parts availability for a discontinued speaker, please contact our Product Support team. You can reach us by phone at 1-800-KLIPSCH (1-800-554-7724).
  11. My Heresy IIs, without tags on the backs. Rectangular terminal cups. Stapled on the inside, a little card with some dates. I will assume the date on the lower left, 2-22-89, is very close to the finish date. I love these speakers.
  12. That was a fun read... I started with page one. My Welborne Labs Moondogs had Magnequest OPTs, and they sounded great. Then again, I never measured the amps.
  13. I had a friend/boss who had an S-100 system. He had used it to keep his inventory so he could access it over a painfully slow modem whe he was on the road. He hadn't used it for a while and want to get it running again, mostly for nostalgi's sake.

    Jokes?

“An Englishman, a Scotsman and an Irishman wander into a little old pub in Kildare. They each ask the barman for a pint of Guinness. After the pints are placed onto the bar, three bluebottles drop into each man’s freshly poured pint. The Englishman pushes his pint away in disgust and orders up another. The Scot reaches in and plucks the fly out. The Irishman reaches in, picks the fly out, holds it up close to his face and shouts, “Spit it out you little b*stard.””
  15. I can only imagine what Dennis would be saying... tomorrow is the anniversary of his passing.

    Jokes?

I actually had to think through the song... 🙄 But the thought reminded me of the new Luke Combs song 'Out where the wild things are'
  17. Would you run out and buy a pair?
  18. We were just one block north of North Parkway, about straight up from the zoo, and a couple blocks west of Southwestern at Memphis now Rhodes College). My late wife attended school there. Overton Park was great, and citizens managed to keep I-40 from going straight through town.
  19. Mine came without tags on the back. Can't remember now, but I removed a woofer and found a dated inspection sticker inside. Maybe if I was younger, I could remember the date. i'll open one up again.
  20. Ah... I moved in 1980. Used to live in Midtown, just a few blocks from the zoo. At the time it was a nice quiet neighborhood. I worked at WHBQ, when it was still an ABC affiliate. I liked it then and never felt unsafe. Lots of nice small music bars to visit (or play at). Beale St was still termite filled empty buildings, other than Schwab's Dept. Store.
  21. That I don't know. I thought the mdf ones were all just glued together. You have to access mine through the woofer cutout. Mine are black, I think black lacquer.
  22. I'm feeling pretty good. I'll be glad when the androgen blocker shot finally wears off. I've probably got a few more months to go with that. Motivation is shot right now. I have lots of projects started and nothing finished.
  23. Only had a cup and a half so far. And I just noticed it's 1:00pm.
