  1. Absolutely agree with above... Speaker to room marriage is the most important part of ALL of this....
  2. Too funny! Rodney and Fitbit will never be "a thing". LMAO!!!!!!
  3. We'll see which one has staying power... First impressions temporarily cloud long term judgement. We shall see! I'm listening to my NBS now, and I'm like
  4. Were you having a seizure when you took that top pic? Nice looking preamp there mang!
  5. Not trying to start a war here. Just an honest question that deserves answer.... Have you ever heard any of Craig's amps? If so, what did you not care for in listening? Thanks for your consideration.
  6. This is a post I completely agree with. A ton of speaker for the money, and Dennis Murphy is quite good at crossover design to work with the speakers. Nice post.
  7. You might be right. Yep. That was a Sansui if I remember correctly. G-5000 or some such.
  8. Yessir! I am a STRONG Kenwood advocate... This gear is so cheap yet so damn good at the same time. Enjoy them there Kenwood's Craig! It is really good SS gear.
  9. So what "wrong" direction are you going in?? Just kidding of course...
  10. Too right... Just make sure to set that DVR to keep those episodes until you erase!
  11. This is a really great show. One of the best shows I have seen. Me and my wife watch it, and talk about every episode, just like we did with BB. You need to get her hooked Carl!
  12. That sounds a bit uncomfortable....
  13. The VRD's will be doing light duty with these. Should be STUPID good.
  14. On a new one with this cart? You go Schu!
  15. This TT and this cart made me get my wallet out for a pair of JBL L220's. Really excellent sounding table. Pulled off the musical yet detailed sound with tons of dimension. You will fall in love with this one.
  16. toolshed nailed it.... This is the only 12AX7 once you have tried them, but they are expensive. The Brimar 12AX7's at Upscale Audio are VERY close cheaper alternative. I would get these.
  17. Nice bait JPM.... Don't think you'll be getting any more bites.
  18. Agree with above statement. Just ignore, and they will go away.. Too many good people here to let one ruin you.
  19. Don't leave Craig... This place is better with you!
  20. Thanks for the plug Craig.... If there was ever a project that turned out to be something special, it was this one! The Magnequest iron and Craigs tuning turned my VRD's into the most special sounding amps I have heard. My amps feature every other electrical upgrade Craig offers as well using Jupiter Copper coupling capacitors. We even upgraded all the connectors on the amps. Don't get me wrong.... The VRD's in original form are absolutely stunning. The sound difference is kind of tough to describe really, but I'll try... What was once a nice rendition of a piano became a very large resonating instrument. Little things going on in the background of the music become obvious little things, so a great increase in texture. I have never heard backup singers portrayed so transparently. Virtually no confusion in populated ensembles making classical music an absolute thrill ride. Image scale is almost supernatural depending on recording. For example, I have one album, Hugh Masekella "Hope" and it is as if I have superhero's playing in front of me! Put plainly, it is more real sounding. More intimate. This upgrade is not cheap, but like Craig said, my system sounds as good as the best systems I have heard for a fraction of the price. For context, I have heard personally, this system: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjXvYrb2fzKAhUFwiYKHZp1A34QFggeMAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fsystems.audiogon.com%2Fsystems%2F5045&usg=AFQjCNEMfh9NSGzKF2nXSsS67QDw2Lh8fg&bvm=bv.114195076,d.eWE The amps in this system showed me what tubes are capable of with regards to imaging and resolution, and my new VRD's are a lighter lower powered sonic equal with even a touch more transparency, due to less tubes in the chain most likely. Craig really made something special here guys. Here is a nice blog about my system: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=6&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwjf6Zav2PzKAhVB7SYKHTX7B24QFggtMAU&url=http%3A%2F%2Fmagnequest.blogspot.com%2F&usg=AFQjCNG_aY9rzPe3EYVI-_2zCpVAl-l9fQ The speakers then were the Joseph Audio Perspective's. They are now replaced with the Joseph Audio Pearl's. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiErLHj2PzKAhVDSyYKHfA8Ci0QFggcMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.josephaudio.com%2Fpearl3%2F&usg=AFQjCNFtNRwBDNeadbg8NK_75TJKoSHFiQ&bvm=bv.114195076,d.eWE Oh, yes... The Sig. VRD's drive them with absolutely NO problem, all by their lonesomes....
  21. Cindy the Sloth? xxxJPMxxx is BACK!!!
  22. Cornwall II's are phenomenal sounding speakers... I heard a pair with the round terminal cups, from 1985 I believe, driven with Accuphase Gear, and this combo knocked me out man. They had the horn dynamics without any harshness whatsoever. Really left an impression on me, and this is not normal for Klipsch speakers and me.
