  1. there should be a lock on threads before i would figure about 2007 at least so they "can not be bumped" this thread is truly useless. i do have to laugh a bit but this is stupid. nice title.
  2. Holy mackerel...them take my breathe away. Some of the nicest 50's era iv seen in a while... I would near contact klipsch hq to see if there would be interest there. seriously.... Value wise these may be interesting. To myself or some i view certain attributes of this particular model with the development into the current style model which appears very shortly after yours were done then still used to this day. those are preserved well.to be honest i fell no one individual could put a value on them. it would take multiple klipsch history buffs to dial the number in...then its only what one will pay. *Paperwork, history or anymore info? location too...* Id start at maybe $2200 maybe more and could be less although if i had room and owned them i cannot see less than 2200 so id honestly call klipsch hq. Im largely considering the dwindling amount of nice vintage klipsch and the preservation of it for a very long time. Selling to the wrong buyer they may go downhill fast. Them are beautiful...A solid A....more pics of networks, details and what driver is inside then on the mid and obviously a k77 on the top end...somebody here will hopefully jump in and put a better figure on them although the details etc will do a lot....did they sit in the Vanderbilt music room until minor upgrades in 1967 when mr V had a stroke....or just been sitting in the blue room in the back of my house with sheets over them and only ran by the second owner on an rca xxx tube amp? Just trying to understand more... cheers to you...time will bring a swarm here id imagine. i would call klipsch and speak to a true audio/klipsch long time employee history buff...i would then share what they say word for word here. as well as who it was you spoke with unless they cut a deal. If i had room i would give them a go on a vintage tube amp once a month while keeping them in perfect shape...possibly use for art in my front room. My opinion is that they are very well preserved and need to be kept in this condition forever regardless.
  3. Yes these are just killing me to see! They are more collectable for the majority. In nice looking working order there are possible buyers lingering about around here. Khorns have been built for over 50 years and most of all materials and construction of the cornerhorn and a vast range of change with the drivers found within. If there is readable ink on the labels that will pull a larger majority in with 50's khorns. The more pics the better. Inside and out and details if tags or labels cannot be read. There was a pair of 50's klipschorns right here for sale on the forum within the past month if memory serves me correct. Hopefully you can find the time to inscribe with details pics and your location..... All said, thank you for sharing the offer! cheers

Looks like a variety of what the roaring 20's were...and That Kennedy lp has to be of high interest to some point and possibly very good at least interesting... What I Got Today!

Oh yeah! I have of 6 pack of "who dey" beer(was the beers of the somewhat golden age in bengals football and beer) hoping for a comeback myself for the bengals and who dey beer...that dude at qb foy beloved team will surely get us to the playoffs like magic cause man the magic show ends pretty fast. Can i ask do you support Billy if he enters this next upcoming contest?? Now that is quite an emotional photo i must say. Very nice! Unfortunately the only 8 track i have left is Lawrence Welk...not that i do not like LW...I just finished watching the weekly episode moments ago...my cassettes are stashed...some rare recordings still in my listening area. Nice grab Rick!

    What I Got Today!

My daughter loves them types of bottles. She finds the need to save them. Drinking them does carry a nice nostalgic and actually to myself a favored mode of drinking coca'cola. Not so sure about other soda due to them not offering the bottled 8oz option at least that come to mind at the moment other than jones cola... Man carl sure does a lot for everybody. Thats really cool that he helped get such a museum touch to admire....alls ol' carl does for me is make fun of me and stuff. I guess its pretty easy lol Cheers!
  8. Wow i wish i had. Sounds like a blast! Im getting pretty good at listening to people after they go to audio events such as this. I wish someone would list these events or put me in the know with scheduled parties such as this one. Im down with a few others at this time although would appreciate more opportunities. I will buy them dinner and at least the first 2 rounds of drinks! Seriously! Anyhow thanks for sharing. Cheers
  9. wow its actually online. killer. thanks for the free entertainment!
  10. I might just swing through there and check it out. Sounds like a hoot!
  11. Oh yeah! Man At times in my life especially the winter i live on that stuff, sometimes. There is a market down the street that sometimes has half gallon cartons of a coffee ready to drink mix that tastes exactly the same as monster java coffee. It gets within a day or 2 of outdated and thats where i come in. The whole thing for $.99cents...Even outdated they last forever....at least til there down the hatch which dont take long lol even if i get a total of 4 gallons its game on for maybe 2 days. This stuff tastes just like monster java....I need to check that stuff out and list the name of it here. Iv mentioned it before although i havnt got any lately. My fiance is the grocery/market shopper. She says i take too long idk lol I think i take to long on purpose anymore just so i dont have to go in and talk to all the neighbors. Not trying to be mean to them my feet get tired when i stand there for a couple hours talking about the rest of the neighbors. Im just not into that....i guess maybe she likes to go to the market to talk about me lol
  12. I knew that was coming heck im drinking koolaid right now. I try to use caffeine as a big benefit when i need energy or have a meeting or special occasions like driving late in the night and orange juice just aint cutting it. Sorry guys
  13. Yo homies! I gotta be honest. I dont drink coffee at home. In fact we have a descent coffee maker up in here at home and my fiance uses it to warm up water for her oats thats it. I just had to get that off my chest. If i do use coffee i get it from the gas station and usually go half that capachino stuff then 1/4 coffee then about 1/8 ice... On another note i do like cables/wires. As matter of fact I like the coax cable wire thats for the cable/internet. I have way to many cables so i feel like i fit in here okay. Im just a bit ashamed i led you guys on here in there. I never really said i had any coffee brewing. I do drink them cans of monster coffee if i feel like im in a coma ya know. Just wanted to drop a line to clear my morality. Just hoping i dont get the boot out of the thread. I do enjoy reading and the thought/think of coffee brewing every time i see you all brewing up a pot! I am glad you guys arnt into cables so much tho. Just grab the wire/cable that works in a descent price range and use it. Enjoy that thing! I hope your cables last forever!
  14. well mine are lol unless that is a huge chair they cant be. if they are and say them are a set of chorus in the backdrop he must not like them much. they look good. and do have the appearance of a cw they just cant be... Maybe a modded(shortened) cab cornwall...if the klipsch drivers are in there they are worth at least double easily...if the crossovers are add $100 and maybe ad more cause the cabs look great(just to short to be a cornwall)... id call as well but man dude im burnt on the clist game/dance lol if i were local id likely call just to offer him $150 for the fortes EDIT: and id ask what is with them things hes got on there for sale...whats up with that id ask
  15. He describes them as 30" tall. Cornwall ii is 35" tall the ciii is 35.75" tall
  16. behind them are fortes. the speakers for sale do have a cornwall like appearance with almost the width and depth. the height is about 10" too short comparing to the average chair comparing in size and the fortes with tv and stand behind them in the pic they are still interesting in appearance and vague description. wonder what they are. possibly rear loaded and thats why they show no pics of drivers..
  17. I need to read more thoroughly(i missed your post. My 2 choice reference would be rf83 then an rf82ii over the rest of the reference floorstanding fleet personally over both the rf7&7ii, just my opinion and strong one at that. Cheers on your great choice. Youll be on cloud 9! I lost my exwife through an audio addiction(Audio collecting/collection was a large part, speakers just made me happy...). It didnt matter if the speakers id be getting were free or i was even paid to take them off someones hands. I guess it was like a true drug addiction. May not had been every day although it was darn near every day i had to buy speakers...speakers most of all and audio as a whole has been a drive of mine since i was 10...i just loved speakers... Anyhow now with my finding certain klipsch models that fit my taste my current very understanding Fiance of 3 years through so much support sure she had hit a point of too much including her very own all hand picked nib 5.1(separates not theater in a box) setup. . .( i tried building my ex whatever system she wanted, and stepson had a nice ss setup at age 8, my own daughter wanted nothing audio(she still dont)ex wife was more a pc-tech junky a-z). . . Ends up now my fiance uses her headphones very often(on second pair of the same audio technicas that fit her head and taste for sound)..... but i have to admit she is a real champ hanging in there with me from countless purchases and trips that were mostly all built around buying or something to do with audio... Now with being very satisfied with what i have audio wise and even before from my fiance' growing dress and shoe collection to jewelery I really find happiness in buying her whatever she wants...I collect cash only jewlery purchases now as well and always have although as mentioned about by Chad( i bet he has a secret bunker with the new palladium series ii prototype ) and especially Youthman the trade off is an art to obtaining the audio we want and many feel need. Klipsch is very addictive because they are really so good. They are like a harly davidson or vintage sportcars, gold or some a very good stock or bond...klipsch are very good investments. Klipsch is truly second to none. All my life my audio addiction raising and dipping I could not get enough. Once i found klipsch...1st in 1996(when i was car audio crazy...car audio is nothing to me any longer), im 37 and really until only a few years ago did i really understand...every other speaker was useless when finding what works best. Klipsch makes noise so much fun. Owning klipsch helps me sleep. Having insurance on my gear as well as security in my home and neighborhood(for the sake of my speakers none other than klipsch) helps me sleep very well, in shifts of coarse. Klipsch are not only great to listen to they are also so fun to look at....The fact i have my klipsch and i know they are safe(i have been robbed)I feel so secure no matter how messed up i make my life lol Bottom line regardless...once you get the klipsch speakers that fit you the best is material. The noise you put through them. It is not the speakers one bit. Just get ya some klipsch then dig in sit back and relax and enjoy the material you chose for you soul to be delivered by klipsch and no other. Material, material, material...get things(audio gear) setup correctly and listen to the quality noise in the material you want to examine...and to examine that material with klipsch it is so easy. Its fun. And with klipsch it is so easy/simple. Cheers to op and all!!
  18. In many applications especially with the use of a powered subwoofer I prefer a 6 1/2" driver to and 8". I actually find a 5-5 1/4" driver more than ample and blend very well with the use of a 10" powered subwoofer/s..for an average sized room and audio setup correctly. I have to mention variables that i find that go with the dynamics of a 6.5" driver along with a powered subwoofer. The separation of the difference in frequency of sound using a 6.5" driver/s with the powered sub/s sound more emotional, dramatic(meaning smooth) in a sense that they are equally far apart in frequency the tweeter to the mid as the mid to the sub in 2way bookshelves as well as floorstanders. When using 2 channel stereo I would lean towards an 8 or possibly a 10 or larger depending on taste and accustomed use of noise....With 2.1 or 2.2 stereo with subwoofer/subwoofers I then find an 8" easy to use or tune although most situations with a powered sub i have found a 6" to be just fine in harmony and preferred in my experience. My comment is only my opinion. I will again and have absolutely adored sound also with the use of an 8" driver to dual even with use of a powered sub or 2. With a bit of work by turning some nobs and adjusting the harmonics of a receiver with a good speaker to work with satisfaction can be developed for use through a very long period of time.
  19. I didnt read the whole thread just skimmed... From the title i must add a few thoughts that range from many individuals in and outside this forum. Buying new klipsch serves many purposes most of all is warranty. Some people would stay stock and never touch a screwdriver nor surf the net for a system for the use they find in their life in time... From even the synergy best buy klipsch in my opinion they sound very good compared to other manufacturers who seem to keep the speaker enclosure small and stylish. Many of these brands i will not speak of although some are of very, very high performance home audio. I have a friend who owns every klipsch synergy model best buy ever put on the floor. They are all lined up in his $100k+ private studio right in front of his desk. They do serve a purpose and the multitudes of musicians he deals with on a weekly basis are all, under some circumstances his parade of musicians are offered a collaboration from all synergy floor models in particular to listen and relax with on a sofa with videos on a couple different "dish" music offerings from time to time. They all actually sound pretty good with the setup he has with them all being utilized at the same time. He also has many other klipsch models although the synergy line is the one setup in his office and serves its purpose well. The standard models from these chains such as best buy do very good in comparison to other models that even martin logan has their offerings at the same retail situations. Digressing a bit i have to ad the economy from and over the years and mass production then target consumer all in the spectrum at hand audio has so very many simply saying changes that result in what level of models we can find to buy at a particular store. Its all a choice and depending on so many factors some consumers are not accustomed to many years of audio...we all need to start somewhere. And i must ad the best in near any two individuals in audio are never the same let alone an audiophile with years of experience with just the simple step of attaching cables to speaker then finding how to attach them to a receiver properly which can be a steep hill to climb for some who put puzzles together as a hobby. Anyhow...however out of place this post may seem in this thread as well as the multitudes of example excluded from what time would only allow at the moment for me to write...the synergy klipsch as well as many other not so reveled klipsch models do have a great place in many lives for so many purposes let alone price then considering size, time and weight of the revered klipsch models. Altogether yes getting into a pro klipsch model or better is sought after and a latter that many climb and some may just stay idle with a certain model due to what ever reasons life has...the lower KLIPSCH models are good...they stand up to some of the great manufacturers of this day/s current top models with so much ease. I understand i stated the obvious to some although to near all klipsch veteran forum members we would never understand why on earth go to the big box store. We all know people that buy the easy setup and thats a very good start in an audio enthusiest or common person wanted some noise. Good noise and a good start is with any klipsch. Where one begins the adventure hope for them to find klipsch fast...where it goes from there is one step at a time or just make the jump to what many claim to be the best. Its a choice where to start and stop or just get and be happy with that. Cheers to all. As many of us remember the journey in audio. The attachment. What drove us. Which aspect of noise was the one that was the fire that kept burning and to some keeps burning. To some there is an end and to me it was and is with klipsch. What a long journey through stores, online, friends etc...And then upkeep...the maintnance of equipment. To be pleased and stop the journey looking. Pure contentment with our audio
  20. Great unit for sure. Good price as well!
