  1. page not found. i need some or heresys in black. rather have the 500's tho personally atm
  2. I cant get them to pull up. are they black?
  3. bet they'd drop $50 . . .id like another pair, how far are you from them my friend. unless you dont have the time . . .
  4. Right on. just trying to give peace o mind. I have the same receiver sitting in a box in my closet but no quintets. Good luck&God Bless
  5. dont run didital run rcas. maybe try opticle cables to hear it but rcas will allow more significant bass off the 146. sounds like a clean setup. put bass at about 50% and treble right at 100% and they will do what they do.
  6. yeah no doubt. i amagine everyone has some descent cables but a sub is gonna make sound go from great to killer. True that!
  7. Google, Bing or search the forum my friend. Im sure you wont come up empty handed through a little work online. If you need comparisons with 2 or more repuatable service centers please write back on this thread with more info and pics. With pics somebody might shoot you a price straight out. Shipping can get tough so if i were you i would strive to stay local or drive extra unless you have the money to ship.If you have issues pm/email me and i will get you in contact with warranty service for your items as best as i can. Buying new seems to be easiest sometimes....
  8. Yes absolutely. This is perfect. You will absolutely love it if you havnt already hooked it up and been loving it. Get some good cables...from each component to the 146 as well as good speaker cable. If you dont have good rcas&speaker cables save up and do so. also be sure to get a power conditioner before running it full time. if you have more questions bing or google or search. Cause if you do what i mentioned you will lower the possibility of issues down the road, avr146&quartets=happy happy happy! Anything else just hollar. if it dont sound good let us know. cause it should sound great and somebody here can help. cheers my freind![Y]
  9. I changed to windows 8 and finally the boss of the forum got me logged on. i found a good working 7000 for 200 and would had bought yer 525 like i said although im glad to hear you got it put together cheers. update so i can hear the happiness now up there?!
  10. this is the perfect and or ultimate music setup. perfect stereo. tough to beat. everybody should experience a setup like this. it changes views on music for the current up to date kids these days. basically like a pair of headphones. you can tune any music system with this setup. i love it. the pics a good wallpaper for a true music guru. kudos!
  11. yes thank you dennie. the 525 is good to go will not need a second amp. and the 525 runs cooler than the 520. i looked at specs of the 7300 although didnt notice if it has hdmi. the newer best buy models from hk that are hdmi are very light and have good power although in comparison to older heavier models i have to say for pushing cornwalls i prefer larger older although other freinds of mine seem happy with the new lighter avr's. back onto your topic, without a doubt you will be happy with the power of anything with the hk label above 65 wpc, 75 in stereo. only issue possible is in the case you ran your 7300 at 90% or louder consistantly. it is diffenentely worth trying. if you are not happy and get a good deal im in ft. wayne indiana and will buy it from you, seriously. sold my last 525 and now using the 520 and would run the 525 instead and keep the 520 for back up in storage... I have to say everybody has their own style of reciever although some have not ran an hk. you name the reciever i have ran them from rotel to pioneer. i have a couple rotel 2ch units in storage now but others in comparison and not any are eevn close are marantz then denon. i liked some nad and even carver and technics in 5.1 but when processing surround sound with quality sound and good power i couldnt ever get comfortable till i was running harman kardon. many of my experiences with other brands were also bought nib for anywhere from $600 to $1300 plus tax and maybe shipping. The last dozen avr's i have bought were used local or online, mostly ebay. The 520 i have now i bought for 200 on ebay 3years ago now worth $100 but i wouldnt sell for 250, its not worth the hassle. the 440 i have in my main system i bought for 100 locally and might be worth 150 but i havnt ever even looked it came with both remotes and manual and matches my rack. i would sell it for 250 either just not worth the hassle. i will say running on my fronts on an amp and my fr mains on an amp is a little overkill although i normally only run my main fronts the other 2 fronts are for studio use, personal recording and testing. cornwalls are some of the easiest speakers to make sound good. if you were not use to the big 7300 i would say any hk avr with about 50wpc. hk watts are very comparable with older 70's 2ch recievers. you could also try a seperate amplifier with your cw's. being that you prefer the strenth of the hk 7300 you would love the clarity of a pro or power amp. the only mod with a pro amp you may need is to cut the fan off. fans are on pro amps because of them being in an enclosed rack with no ventalation. a small crown xls can be had for very cheap..between 100 and 150...although an avr525 would do very well for your situation alone..
  12. You just stated the current tech guru in the common store we walk in today to a T. truly they have no idea where we are headed and just one of your speakers are simply better than the best ht in a box they offer. and considering martin login now has ht's in a box at BB its incredable to say that but it is true... I have to explain now as you know the 7300 is the flagship. i used an 8000 and an 8500 for some time in past few years but using amps for my mains is what i find to be best for pushing large klipsch monitors. i ran my cornwall 2's on a denon 1700 then a hk avr525 and stuck with the 525. You might do as i am doing now and make do with a smaller 30-40lb harman k avr.at full wattage the 7300 is very loud. cw's have a sensitivity of 101db's which will perform very well at lower hk avr wattage. so unless you ran your 7300 at full wattage i would look into anything made by hk at over 65watts per ch..about 75 in stereo. then make sure its 7.1 with its original remote. You will strike one at around $150 quickly. then for your mains consider a cheap older crown xls 202 amp...unless you are satisfied with the output of the model you buy. im just looking at the more bells and whistles the more that can go wrong. smaller hk avr's are incredable, as are the Big 1's such as your 7300...Your 7300 would sell on ebay for 200 as is. I also must mention to you as a klipsch freind that several of my last hk scores were on craigslist and were spelled wrong such as harmon not harman and were had for $50-75. A great buy i see you could try is the hk avr 520(which needs a second amp to become fully 7.1)although i have bought them for $75shipped on ebay. The avr525 does not need the extra 2ch amp and runs much cooler than the 520. either would push your cw's great. the smaller hk avr's will surprise anybody. they also produce super clean sound as you know... hope im helping out. im an all the way klipsch w harman kardon forever guy...
  13. 1st i will say i understand why your hooked to an hk avr. they are great...from the older2ch or 5ch to the new hdmi 9.2's. I have had more hk receivers than any other brand and with hk's whenever i had issues it was always my fault. only once did i have one shut down to not be used because of a problem such as what you have here. with other brands of receivers when put into somthing such as protect mode they need to be sent to the manufacturer. what im getting to is harman kardon is great..from their old models to their new. i would suggest other HK models. unless you find a 7200 or 7300. even the old avr mark25II is awsome and will push cw's great. the old avr markII use to be had on ebay for under 100 w/remote. if i were you i would look for an hk on ebay or craigslist that has specs close to your avr72-7300 including weight of the unit. be sure to get it with a remote...some hk models use other hk remotes. stock or hk remote that works is much easier than aftermarkets(even tho some hk remotes are intermitent when new). my hk receiver buying has brought me thru so many other brands and back to hk from lightening strikes and burning hk's up to me opening while on and shorting(only took 1 to learn) try a different hk model w similar specs will surely have good results. good luck
  14. actually kg5.5's are top of the line. without a doubt keepers to pass down to your grandkids. my suggestion of sending the networks to crites would yeild great results although in stock form kg5.5's will stand up to any speaker on the earth. luckys suggestion is a good point in situations when you are troubleshooting. You would only be able to use a crimping tool. yes you could use pliers although in the middle of the pliers crimp you would need to take a center punch and hammer to the center of the new lead. another great solution would be to soldier the wire. soldiering is the best way to attach it. to test it you could simply strip the wire, wrap it around the lead and put a piece of tape on it. this is highly not recomended for permanent use and many would not test in this manner. as i recomended to send to crites sounds like a lot of money but will result in perfection as well as help with any issues down the road. they are the most highly regarded klipsch experts in the world. good luck
  15. looking at your sig for your fronts i would search this forum for results on what amp runs best with your rf 82's. whatever you choose for them they would perform very well. i would look into an amp rather than biamping. a good amp will blend well with the rest of the hk channels. bi amping is used for theaters although a bit more in my experience in 2ch audio. hope i helped..good luck
  16. hello...it would only be possible to bi-amp the 3600 with a seperate amplifier from your pre outs then your speaker lead outs from your avr. worth the effort would all depend on what you biamp. it is always interesting to hear the difference. if you try use your 3600 to power your highs and get a strong power amp to push your lows. or if you have horns get a small tube amp to push them then use the avr for lows. using seperate crossovers or eq's would optomize the results
  17. Crites are awsome. Great people and honest. You might also check your crossovers with them while your at it. kg 5.5's are good but with a little more than 200usd he would make them sound amazing[]
  18. I really couldnt believe who i was on the phone with. You led the pace for car audio i would have to say throughout the world. then like you said married with a couple kids and still a lot of smiles left and to live through our kids. I would have never guessed who would of been on the other end of the line and if i could go under hypnosis and choose anybody in the county of vw it would be you. Everything in those days had you at the top. And evrybody saying nah that not how hubbles got it...at least once a week i heard that from somebody and i had the boombox size radio you did lol...I have a tape deck in my mitsubishi truck and 2 4" RShack speakers behind my seat lol. My 2010 chevy car is just a cd player. I will call soon regardless and pick these klfs up unless somebody does. Will talk soon. Bless You!

Also just in case i keep a good acceptable back up radio or 2 in the closet in case my cat buddy wears my good radio out. I love my cat buddy
  21. Just grab a tube amp with a powered sub and a 300 disc carasel full of your favs press repeat sitback and enjoy my freind. It dont matter if you quit your job before or after cause the music never stops
  22. I know the seller of these particular Klf 30's and he is a great audiophile set beyond many. I cannot begin to describe the lenths within the audio industry he has been. my quaterly/monthly budget for audio was hit friday of last week. Then my fiance bought a new $500 down comforter bedset so i am left to save back up if they are still for sale in my next monthly audio budget. He is the original owner and knows the elite audiophiles of our area and throughout the 50states...well beyond myself. If you are looking for Klf30's as described in this thread then these are the pair you need. I back him 100% with his sale. And will own them if i get my needs tackled soon.
