  1. I have posted 310 and 942 in the crossover thread... still looking for 325 mostly but all varieties are welcome
  2. Nikki Beta II is an awesome pre! I have 2 and both have been completely refurbished! The Beta 40 is also very nice if you see one! Had multiple Crown amps and never enjoyed any of them with my various Klipsch... you could check out a Nikki Alpha II but everyone I’ve seen recently needs extensive work... if you really think you need the wattage there is also the 440/450 though the internal wiring on the odd series (230/450) isn’t quite as good.
  3. I guess I’m kind of lost on the 1.9” cause I feel like final alignment would have more to do with the destination than the point of origin? I mean aren’t we mechanically talking about triangles and then acoustically talking adjusting that with phase? IDK, maybe I’ve had too many beers to be responding right now? I will say this sh!t can be fickle because I just changed the toe-in on the head and it has dramatically changed perception! Center to center my speakers are rather close together at 80” I sit about 160” away... I previously had the heads toed in about 1.5” measuring from the edge of the cab back to the edge of the TM motorboard and have adjusted that, only slightly, to roughly 1.25”. I guess my tought would be that you can only use any given theory to a logical mean but can’t really control the inevitable outcome... room/positioning I feel like this has wondered off into left field...
  4. I was going to suggest a Technics SU-9070... but then everyone start talking about mixers and now I’m not sure I’m on the same page...?
  5. I don’t have time right now to transcribe it but the crossover is effectively... LF input - 2nd order LP - Driver MF input - 2nd order LP, 11ohm pad, LCR, 3rd order HP - Driver HF input - 2ohm pad, 4th order HP - Driver VC on the K70G/K703 and the K69A/K510 appear to be offset by only 1/4-3/8” which seems like at least a good start? I did give these a shot in a 2way arrangement with just the K69A/K510 but it didn’t look anywhere near as flat as the 3way...
  6. It really bothers me that the center channel is from a different series... and also wholly unnecessary It very much seems like $600 in actual speaker parts and $4,400+ in woodwork, which is kind of a very specific/hard sell? Donors appear to be a pair of professional KI362 (not KG) though an older KP is more likely due to the midrange driver... and a pair of KG.5 sans one tweeter... I would have said the center was a KV but the woofers are definitely KG
  7. I've done a good bit of research on these drivers but have yet to find what I was looking for... What I know... K69 = B&C DE75-8 P.Audio BMD750 K69A = P.Audio BMD750 *It would appear the "A" is a revision and was meant to replace the K69 fit/form/function. Driver may or may not have been modified? Driver was modified. K691 = B&C DE75-? *Again it would appear the "1" is another revision. Driver is a new version of the DE75 and is definitely modded to some extent? This driver was at one point sold as an upgrade for the K69A but is now the std driver where applicable. *At some point in the mix, the standard B&C DE75-8 driver appears to have been used without K69X/Klipsch badging per numerous images/eBay listings. What I am curious about... I have seen at least one person state that the B&C driver does sound slightly better than the P.Audio but this was in reference to a 2way setup. I have recently acquired a pair of 3way KPT-335 and was wondering if this driver might be an upgrade in my setup as well? The 2 drivers really appear to be very similar and this may just boil down to a personal preference but I would like to know what other people think. I am also curious if any one knows anything about crossover changes that might coincide with the K69 revisions. I have physically seen 2 iterations of the KPT-335 crossover (116663 Rev ? and Rev and the only difference I saw was board layout. Thanks
  8. If I remember correctly the it's really only a suitable replacement for the K76 due to the size of the magnet (output)... The P.Audio PH-2510 is also a K704 with out the woofer notch PH-2510.pdf
  9. Schematic for the KPT-942... left off the 200ohm/polyswitch protection on HF again
  10. I've had this K60M for some time... always thought I would use it in a project but never did? I've heard they can make good midrange upgrades for La Scala's and Klipschorn's but I've never owned either speaker, so I can't comment. http://ebay.us/g2ZYy1?cmpnId=5338273189 Listed @ $120obo
  11. I bought this recently because I was curious about it's design but shortly after I acquired it I bought a pair of 335's so I really don't need it anymore... http://ebay.us/rNj37a?cmpnId=5338273189 Listed @ $100obo
  12. https://ebay.us/GXl85y 3x K-70-G Drivers 2x 116615 Rev C Crossover Networks I personally think $500 is too high and the seller might have better luck listing the pieces individually but that might just be me? I have used this crossover in a 2way Heresy build but I didn't use the K70G driver, I used a Selenium D202Ti. At the time I did first try a Selenium D220Ti, due to the fact that it and the K70G appeared to have similar specs but it was too hot. I also had to replace one of the resistors in the HF circuit with a lower value (2ohm), I think the original value was 10 or 20ohm. Anywho, just throwing ideas out there...
  13. Here's a schematic for the KPT-310... I left off the 200ohm/polyswitch protection on HF

    KPT-310 Crossovers

Here's a schematic... I left off the 200ohm/polyswitch protection on HF After another look it does appear that the board has more allowance for variation than I originally thought but all configurations would remain 2nd order for both HF & LF.

    Single KPT-335-B/M

They should have sent you a tracking number, mine should be arriving in KC this Thurs... They offered me the third 335 as well but my house is just not big enough for that jazz and I really didn't want to be saddled with trying to move/part out a single... I already knew going into this that I would only be keeping one of the two sets, 335's or Cornwalls, anyway... As for the dual driver thing, that's just a preference... I do most of my listening at fairly moderate levels, in a rather small room and a single LF driver just sound better to me, more coherent maybe. At higher sound levels, in a larger space, I would say it matters less... I guess it might also help to clarify that I intend to use these primarily for music and not TV or HT... I'm really not much of a TV/Movie guy Active can be fun but at this point I primarily only use it for testing... I've just spent tooooo much time in the past chasing ghost in equipment chains and the nice thing about Klipsch being so efficient is that you don't 1,000,000W to power them.

    KPT-310 Crossovers

KPT-310, KPT-325, KPT-902 & KPT-904 all cross somewhere around 900Hz (give or take 50Hz) and all use the same circuit board along with KPT-942. All LF cabs are 4ohm and all HF horns are 8ohm. My guess is that values due change some between models but not drastically... maybe? The KPT-942 sits somewhere around 600Hz. As a comparison the KPT-398 is published at 750Hz while the KPT-396 at 1kHz

    Single KPT-335-B/M

I am as well... and I plan on testing them in a 310, 325 and 335 configuration. I have a pair of Cornwall’s I’ve been playing around with for a while and so far have preferred the 2way setups over the 3way. I also specifically wanted the 335 over the 435 because I also tend to prefer a single LF driver over the dual.

    Single KPT-335-B/M

It’s a third... I bought the other 2 The seller has been awesome and would likely accept a reasonable offer
  19. Can be used to convert Cornwall into 2way... cheap too https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183559125372
  20. KPT-335 HF/MF ~ HF = K703 w/K70G, MF = K510 w/K69A KPT-315 LF ~ LF = K48 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-Model-KPT-335-B-M-3-Way-Behind-The-Screen-Cinema-System-Speaker-Single/254152213763?hash=item3b2ca70503:g:T5cAAOSwAWNcfvam *This ebay listing was pulled for reasons that can be seen below but I would be on the look out for the crossover, woofer and horns/drivers
  21. I bought this recently because I was curious about it's design but shortly after I acquired it I bought a new pair of speakers so I'm not quite as curious as I was... http://ebay.us/Hi0E65?cmpnId=5338273189 Listed @ $100
  22. Actually, the K771 appears to also be used in the new La Sacala so there is that... it would only be a drop in for speakers like the CWII or CWIII with a K107/K79/K75 but would require attenuation. Could be worth it though?
