So I now have a chance to buy some Heresy IIIs for $800. But they are not consecutive serial numbers. What do you think? Is that a big issue?
No. It should have nothing to do with the sound and only the veneer. Consecutively numbered speakers should have a very similar wood structure and finish.

H1 for $650.
Heresy IIs $750.
Which would you go with and why?
Condition of the wood and grills have a lot to do with what they would be worth, to me. What flavor are they? Might be a little high on the H1, H3 sounds like the best price IF they all were in the same condition. ( I have never owned the H3, but I have had several H1 and H2.

As luck would have it, yesterday the owner's wife was finally able to locate the original grills for the speakers
That's great. I'm sure that you're stoked.
Now, how about a picture or three? 😀

I agree, that sounds like a lot of fun and thanks for inviting us. When, where, and what should we bring? 🤜🤛

Sure it's not upstream? Swapped speaker cables L to R and vv?
Swapping tweeters to see if the problem moves? -

There are some scratches
From the pictures, they look like easy fixes. I wouldn't let those scare me off of a deal. Great price. GLWYS

I really only need a pair of bass bins. Nickyboy wins for distance. My neighbors are close to half a mile.
Okay, I might have exaggerated: his place might not be exactly in the middle of the farm 🧐. It is out there and it's beautiful.
Also, what does NEED have to do with what we have? lol
Maybe I need a single stack for an LCR setup......- 3

What sounds intriguing is the 4-10" mids and 4-horns with 2" drivers. Could this be a set up with the KPT-305 and K402? The Kpt 305 would be 8" mids, not 10".
The 402 / 510 horns on the MCM1900 was supposed to be better. I have the MCM1900 4 way (double MWM bass, 10" mid bass, 2" squawker, 4 K77 into 2 lense tweeters) I use Dave Ault's LMAHL for tweeters, I like the sound better.
No idea if they would crossover to cover the KPT305.

Nickyboy has a beautiful place in the middle of a corn farm 10 miles from his neighbors and the closest town is days away lol.- 3

It’s really cool to know there’s guys out there that appreciate this Hobby that much. thanks again. Howard.
You're more than welcome. I was just paying back for the treatment I had received. This forum used to be a top-shelf and THE go-to place with a lot of helpful and, mostly, friendly members. We have given things away, picked up equipment for others, organized the Pilgrimage and other gatherings, and have been there for each other in many other ways. Sadly, a few years ago, things went sideways, and the cuts that were made caused bleeding that didn't seem to stop until almost everybody left. There were some superb people here.
It would be ideal if the powers that be would remove the punitive points and moderated restrictions and see if trust can be reestablished. I'm sure that everyone knows what makes an ideal forum is having great members/people.- 3

I received a check from @howards that more than covered the cost of shipping. Thanks and happy listening.

Whatever happened to Chuck the scammer? I can't imagine that he died of old age.

I thought it might look too good to be true, but you never know.

That was a good deal, I was eyeballing them myself.
At the risk of being thrown out by the bouncers, I couldn't sit on my hands any longer.
Let me know if you want anything listed in Gil's listing. I will send you pictures and help get them to you.- 2

@codewritinfool, I have had these Walnut SMAHL for a while. Thanks @Dave A
I got them out and oiled them last night. @ClaudeJ1, I will be installing them on my first pair of SH 1.5 build.

I bought Gil's McIntosh MC-2505 amp and C-26 preamp. They are in great condition, as are the other components and equipment. A couple of weeks ago, I went to Brandon's to pick up the amp and preamp, and to inventory the rest of Gil's equipment.
I have plans to go back next weekend to take pictures of what's remaining and I will post the pictures when I return home. If there is anything on the list that anyone would like detailed pictures and descriptions, please feel free to say so.

hit some CF-4 owners up for the dimensions and good pictures maybe you can make a set of your own?

Great minds think alike, I'm talking about you two.
I was thinking of 3/4" x Y x Z, bevel the edges, cut out the WTW and port areas, sand and paint all surfaces for the frames. Buy the right grill cloth and the right size of these and all that would be needed are the badges. We don't need to show you no stinking badges.

Wish these were close. I would love to have a pair of these to try in some Cornwall.

I hope to do some Duratex on some cabinets that have a few holes from flying the speakers. This was a very helpful bunch on the Bondo application. Some were a little grumpy, but helpful. RIP Roger.
