The 18" woofer is a K49. I was thinking if I dont like the kp480s as they are that I could use the woofer in a diy horn loaded sub.

Would the woofers be a candidate for a diy sub?

Looking at a pair of these. 18" woofers and 15" passives. I cant find many topics related to them. Does anybody have much experence with them? How well would they pair up with La Scala fronts? I mostly listen to 2ch and only occasionally watch movies. My room is rather smallish at 12 x 18.

The the passive might come out easier or maybe not but I would try before banging on the magnet with anything other than my hand.
