  1. The Quintet is part of the Synergy Series. Get the SC.5 to replace the Quintet center, then use it as your rear center. That should be a very good, if not perfect match. The Quintet center is not available as a separate speaker
  2. WackyT3, Give us a call at 1-800-554-7724 option 2. May be best to trouble shoot the KSW-15 over the phone
  3. Commonly this could be a caused by a blown internal fuse. The best bet would be to check all your speaker cables and make certain that the cables for that channel are properly connected. Because this is a high current amplifier, if the output is presented with shorted speaker wires (positive & negative terminals touching together) the amplifier will try to drive the short, and blow the internal fuses for that channel. I have sent you an email.
  4. JM is correct about the center channel. It used to be a Heresy I, then modified it using a K-401 horn. I was still not happy, but the correct crossover would have helped. Then along came this La Scala needing a new home, veneer work. So the grill hides most of what needs work, until I can get around to it. Hate covering up a speaker that needs to show it's self, but no time to finish it now. This is only temporary as we are renting until we have a house built. With the attached birch side panels, bass gets into the 30's but it is down enough to notice. That improved when they were toed out to almost straight forward.
  5. How about a 125 lb. La Scala on top of a 52"RCA RPTV. It has been up there for about 6 months without a single problem. This TV is 1"MDF with plenty of rear support built into the back from the factory. Hard to find that much material in most TV's built today
  6. Bill, Didn't mean for you to take it that way. Just started having this problem a few months ago, so I just don't post pictures I may be having problems with my server. dachuckster, you started this post and I got in the middle, sorry. You have a nice system, enjoy amonteiro, Toe-in is listner preference, some feel the way you have them sounds great, Some prefer the way I have them, experiment.
  7. Bill, That is the exact way I have been attaching JPG.s and for some unknown reason here latley this is what happens when I do that. Server.MapPath() error 'ASP 0173 : 80004005' Invalid Path Character /idealbb/upload/savefile.asp, line 111 An invalid character was specified in the Path parameter for the MapPath method. Trey posted the picture for me, I seem to have a problem with something I have not yet figured out
  8. See Trey's post below, He uploaded the pic for me and I moved my post there
  9. That is me behind Miss Val and my wife Mystery Guest behind Paul. We will see ya here
  10. Jim, We have not yet had a chance to do that, but we will next week. I haven't forgotten
  11. The specs for the new additions to the Reference Series should be on our web site the first of next week.
  12. The specs for the new additions to the Reference Series should be on our web site the first of next week.
  13. Ya I cought that after I took a closer look at the picture before you posted. You were too fast to catch that, I was editing my post at the time you were posting.
  14. From the parts description they are Forte II's. But at a closer look at the pictures, it looks like the passive is the same size as the woofer, when comparing the area between the sides of the cabinet The Forte II used a 15" passive compared to a 12" in the Forte The mid horn in the Forte II is a K-61-K tractix (which that is not)vs a K-53-K in the Forte
  15. They are not even in production yet. Don't bid on them.
  16. Hey Jim, really happy for you. We may never part with our $1000 pair of '77 walnut Klipschorns. Hey, one more for the ultimate HT? Or maybe a Belle or La Scala center? Now for the building plans for that bigger room, LOL You may to build on to house them all LOL
  17. For the past 2 1/2 years we have used KSP-S6 surrounds with our Klipschorns. They blend almost seamlessly. When playing anything that draws attention to the side surrounds and back center, we find it hard to notice any actual sonic difference. The perfect match will always be the La Scala, but if room is not available, and you are looking for a side surround, you may find the WDST RS-3 II or RS-7 would work very well.
  18. Mike, if they both are series II then here are the basic differences. They both are rated at 101 dB at a watt They both use the same tweeter (K-79-K) Cornwall II 38 to 20 kHz, K-57-K mid, K-34-E woofer, bass reflex with the port to the front. May be more suited for your plans of one foot from the wall. Chorus II 39 to 20 kHz,K-61-K mid, K-48-E woofer, has a rear 15" passive. That may be a factor with side and rear wall placement. I have found that a good starting point with rear passive speakers is 2 feet from the side walls with 1 foot minimum from back wall. Both will sound GREAT with tub amps. Hope this helps
  19. Do you consider Indianapolis, IN with in driving range? I have them in the original boxes, but do not want to ship. $800. I don't have the s/n numbers handy, but they are "W". Cornwall I's, '81, walnut oil, very good condition. Steve
  20. Just in case there were 2 pictures up, I removed mine. Thanks Justin, you da man.
  21. Justin, the link does not work unless you remove "beta" :-( and then it just takes you to the old HT pic. The Heresy with the speakerlab mid would have worked better if I had used the E network instead of playing with the AA. I have since found a LS LF section and added my K-77 tweeter and a Klipsch K-401 squawker and an AA network. There is still a slight difference in tonal balance because I have ALK networks in the Klipschorns. I'll change that soon. The Denon POA-2800 amp to the left has been replaced with an Aragon 8008x3, the one on the right now drives my Subs See the picture Justin posted below
  22. HD, I sent you an email through your profile. Not sure what the problem is. Call me if that is OK for you. 1-866-781-7284 option 1
