  1. Bottom panel comes off....carful the seal may be stuck and hard to get off...I would scrap it all off put on new seal. Check all woofer screws and wiring.
  2. Make sure all the horn screws are tight. Make sure the mid driver is tight on the horn take it off and check the washer there also. I would rebuild the crossovers to a type A make sure you unscrew and retighten all connections on the crossover. I painted my mid horns inside and out with rustoleom enamel paint. I sanded all casting seams also used the liquid paint its messy and hard to get into the throat but it was worth the trouble. Not sure what your using for source preamp or amp but we have found out the LaScala is some what picky with the stuff its hooked to. I love them with my 1975 HK430 twin powered reciever 25 watts..lol. The cabinet sides do flex a bit I had to re-veneer mine cause I had 3 boys. Since I veneered the outsides the flex is gone they are solid now. They definitely need to be towed in and in the corners. The 4500hz crossover mod is good idea I did that on my K-horns helps a lot. Might even take the woofer access panel off and check gasket on the panel and woofer screws.
  3. https://www.parts-express.com/erse-super-q-25mh-16-awg-500w-inductor-crossover-coil--266-908 I used this when I rebuilt my A crossovers. You can get the transformer from Bob and the capacitors also.
  4. So just build a type A or AA and test it on one speaker. I'm sure you could probably sell it if not happy after or just keep both and try them on different songs. You could also buy type A or AA from Bob he may even loan you one to try out. Because I think he will make a sale when he does.
  5. http://www.parasound.com/hint6.php This looks like a better deal especially when you buy it from Cory.
  6. Never heard that amp but if I was going to spend that kind of money I might have to call Cory and look in to Parasound amps. Thats also McIntosh territory price range. I cant afford either one so I cant judge...lol
  7. Did you order the Cornwalls from Cory or the web site or a dealer ? You got pic of room your putting them into ??
  8. While any 16-12 ga will work we all have our favorites amazon has some good choices also. http://www.knukonceptz.com/home-theater/speaker-wire/kord-speaker-wire/sp/kord-ultra-flex-12-gauge-speaker-wire-100/ These are good plugs https://www.glsaudio.com/GLS-Audio-Banana-Plug-Speaker-Connectors--Locking-Series-Generation-4--20-Pack_p_368.html Dont forget one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002YDZWO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  9. Furniture grippers should work. But also front load washer matt might also.
  10. Wow those look awesome.....I wished you would have waited a bit and got a price quote from Cory but thats ok. Next time call Cory first. I do think the Fortes need to be moved another inch or two away from the back wall. Maybe nudge the desk over and put woofer on other side of the right speaker to get them spread out a little more. I realize we go to work with what we have . I love the Lambs wool so much I changed my LaScalas and Heresys over to Lambs wool. I want to make another set of grills for my K-horns also some day.
  11. If you want to go pick these up better deal. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/181452819409331/ Date code S means 1978 924 miles....away from you.
  12. Not sure why you would need to do anything to Bob Crites crossovers but here is the inductor I used on my A type rebuild. http://www.erseaudio.com/Products/SuperQCoils14Gauge/ESQ55-14-2500.   With the Crites 4500hz ones you need to use his tweeter the stock tweet from Klipsch can not handle it.
  13. When we were in Hope at the factory I think I saw them putting same foam in the new ones. So probably supposed to be there. I have never opened up a set of IIs so not sure. While got them apart you could replace capacitors. I would also put glue on all the blocks in both of them.
  14. Klipsch price 167.20 but the list could be wrong. 124018X KSM-12-II F.A. PHANTOM EA 411.63 124017X KP-362 F.A. PHANTOM EA 438.62 124016X KP-102 FINAL ASSY. 15. How vintage and what do you have powering them??? Before buying new ones make sure amp is OK. You could sell the other good one probably. Call Bob....Klipsch … Our CW1526 15 inch Stamped Steel Frame Woofers. Replacement for the Klipsch K-33E for Klipschorn, Belle Klipsch, Cornwall and LaScala. Shipping is $25.00 by UPS in the US. Model CW1526 Pair: $240.00 120.00 each not bad.
  16. I think you should put them in the corners you got. The way you got them sitting blocks half of the output of the bass bin can't be good. Looks like you got corners there to use. Use pipe foam to seal vertical back and horizontal parts of bass bin you will be impressed with the sound improvement.
  17. Yea I have ordered some stuff from Bob and always got it fast. I always recommend him to friends and he answers questions even if not buying stuff. 5 stars to Bob Crites. I wished I could get 50% of his type of service from other companies....NOT EVER GOING TO HAPPEN. Well I take that back I have had some companies meet Bobs standards....Delta motorsports......LMC truck.....Victoria British......Moss motors.....and a few others.
  18. I also use this inductor in my K-Horns.....https://www.parts-express.com/erse-super-q-25mh-16-awg-500w-inductor-crossover-coil--266-908
