  1. actually the k-403 as paul called it later on, was designed in the early nighties. since the late 80's, paul had mentioned to me that he had been wanting to find out if the klipschorn could be taken back to a 2 way. so a did a various designs for paul back in the early nighties and one of the those was taken and was suspposed to become the hf horn for the jub hf, the k-403 horn. once that got figured out, paul wanted an lf design to go higher than the 400-500 cutoff of the current klipschorn. that led to the jub lf.
  2. not totally correct. the k2 was gillum but the kg1 was after he left. when i got here the kg2, kg4 and forte (kg5) were here already. kerry and i added the kg1 and kg3.
  3. fastrac....that is so many steps backwards. we dont tinker around horns....we design real horns...if you like fastrac horns then go there...not here.
  4. You maybe right but I bet it's bigger than you think but sales aside these are Paul's babies hence called heritage and what will stop is all peddlers talking about so called upgrades. Pretty simple? The answer is yes.
  5. Starting now....lol!! Dude don't worry bout it! I got it. Have a nice day and watch some more cool movies!!
  6. To me it's pretty simple. And I will explain later.
  7. I would smooth the transition. Looks like the tool was wearing out and the two parts did not mate up well.
  8. Ask me about peddlers on the klipsch forum in person. I would bet I am even more animated about this in person. Whether or not we provide parts is not the issue. It's the so called upgrades by peddlers that are not klipsch approved or endorsed and then the audacity to come on the klipsch forum and proclaim them as upgrades. You want other horns, go there. You want other drivers, go there. And if we have to change the rules I bet I can get that done......
  9. Deano. You should be in politics. You have a knack for twisting things around. Follow the bouncing ball.... Anyone wants to make something... Fine. Go promote it somewhere else. Pretty simple huh? and heck yes I have an agenda...to promote KLIPSCH products on the KLIPSCH forum. on something a lot more important, you doing ok?
  10. Sorry deano but I don't think you really know what me k's spirit was about. Now how about them electrolytics?
  11. I was probably one of those that chased them away. I don't like fake experts and I don't like people coming on the klipsch forum and putting down our design engineers and peddling their own magic crap. I for one will hope to affect the end of the peddlers who come on here to the klipsch forum and talk about so called upgrades to our speakers. Upgrades? That really takes a lot gall. You just better be damn glad that paul was not younger when this forum started or you would think I am angel compared to what he would tell the peddlers.
  12. Hey doc. I can be a moderator. Some people I know won't like but too bad. Ha ha.
  13. Magic? Burn the strawman!!
  14. If you screw up a klipsch speaker....you might have a Bose and "magic".
  15. But it was "magic" right Kerry?
  16. How did I miss this thread ??? I am a Travis barker fan!!! I have seen many technically superior drummers just do some really awesome skillful solos. But for me it is all about what they add to the song. Can they be technical and still have the feel? That is what I love about Travis drumming.
