  1. Primavera Laquer per earlier discussion, although Pecan was mentioned too.
  2. Seller states "let me know your best offer for them"..................Sight unseen, preferred? ......which also could = I haven't provided any pics because of their horrible condition, so I'll play hide & seek with potential buyers and see if any offers come in.
  3. Not me. But, the source material fed to them will highly determine the sound quality coming out. Remember: Junk in = junk out
  4. Maybe he meant to list it at $35 instead of $350 - but probably not.
  5. $1250 list IIRC My bad as much as anyone's for not cut & paste a photo.
  6. What ever works for you, but please understand Forum posts, and CL advertisements, result in quite different buying scenarios. This is probably why there has been no consensus in this thread so far. Thaddeus' stance is understandable in regard to a simple Forum for-sale post, but It could differ significantly if an item were to be advertised on the CL site as that opens the door to WAY more $h!t to sort through. I still consider a Buyer, that is willing to commit to an in-person viewing of my for-sale item(s), MUCH more serious and interested in making a purchase than a string of text/email inquiries from some unknown source. "Ya, I was cruising through the local CL site and saw you got a pretty cool looking !@$^%& thingy, so what's your bottom dollar on it anyway? Does it do tricks? What color is it? How long you had it? Why you selling? I had one once, and thought I'd ask what my best price is?" Great lead, right? Ah, no - go pi$$ off. Body language speaks volumes, but in-person exchanges aren't always possible. In those instances, an actual phone call can quickly clarify condition, reason for sale, pricing level, interest level, etc kinds of inquires. To be able to hear the Buyer's voice & inflection can again reveal much about the other party. Although one might call it profiling, it is a well known tactic in the sales industry and it is referred to as "qualifying the Buyer". As a Seller, why would you choose to waste your time without doing this?
  7. I'm skeptical of this posting's legitimacy, but I've seen other perceived non-sensical for-sale ads actually pan out. Who knows what the cards hold - right?
  8. As a Buyer, I don't much expect a Seller to reduce a list price over "x" %. (insert your own number) The art of negotiation is based upon mutual respect and LOW BALL offers serve to undermine that entire premise. If a Buyer is asking for, or offering a price reflective of such a huge discount right out of the gate how can a Seller consider the Buyer even remotely serious? No visit, no viewing, just a half a$$ed offer based upon - nothing tangible to the item in question. I guess everyone has their preferred methods, but Buyers that hard kick Sellers shouldn't be offended when those Sellers either ignore you, or tell you quite frankly to F'off.
  9. It's like California (not really) but the sun DOES set over the water. But I must admit, the roads are way better on your side.
  10. I only get bent if a Buyer attempts to move me off "bottom dollar" pricing. Seller's should be aware of this tactic. When & if a Seller offers their "bottom dollar" or "best price" this should = the best price a Buyer will get.............PERIOD. Buyer should accept or refuse and not use this for further negotiations. Sellers should be aware of this tactic in reducing price out of the gate only to be kicked further. HOLD FIRM to your bottom.. or you may get reamed !
  11. Counter with: "what's the most you're willing to pay"?
  12. I like the look. It allows one to "undress them with your eyes".
  13. That'd be "about" 100. Although ignorance of the law is no excuse, 100mph at 2200 rpm seems quite acceptable depending upon traffic volumes. Safe & stable while getting where you need to go. Oops, 65mph is roughly 100Kph. Sorry officer, my internal calculator must be a bit off today. And, Do you routinely defend your traffic infraction citiations in court?
  14. And the AL crossovers that so many consider mere door stops?
  15. Now that is a darn good point that I hadn't really considered. Crap. I should be more open minded to those possibilities? @opusk2k9 Sorry for the thread diversion & thanks for the alert. Best of luck to those still considering pursuing these.
  16. When asked by prospective buyers what "my bottom dollar" is, I counter with "I've already listed them with an asking price, it's your turn to dance - not mIne". Either bring cash, come look at them and then begin negotiations, or quit wasting our time. I'm not one to list an item, and immediately come off my price just to get the negotiation ball rolling. Sellers that list a price & then move down = 2 steps, to the Buyer's 0. NO MORE, regardless of the selling venue.
  17. Back to The History Channel...........
  18. How would I be able to comment as I did "without" doing so? You got a K-77M square magnet tweet you're willing to part with?
  19. Roadie use / damage from loading & unloading for various "gigs" is not accurately shown in the photos, nor is the non-operating tweeter of one of the units.
  20. Even for me it is "over the river and through the woods". @Rivernuggets At the right time of year, you could jump on the cross lake ferry in Milwaukee and be here in about 2-1/2 hours. Should you ever make that trip, I'll show you around my side of that.....BIG LAKE.
  21. "The Curse of Lost Confederate Gold" You all should tune in to The History Channel and follow this story. Looks as if the series is airing on Tuesday nights @ 10m EST. It hits quite close to home, and I've had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Dykstra in person within the past year. Tune in.
  22. Should I, or should I not..............................investigate, due to CLOSE proximity? AL networks
  23. Maybe he self imposed a "time-out"?
  24. Which is fair-ish. (-100?) The 5's are no slouch, and are basically the older version of the RF-82's. As for pricing the 7's, that's an entire different animal. $10-1200 for a perfect pair is not unreasonable. A pair that have been beat on, dropped, cat scratched and peed on have sold for around $300. An RC-7 for $300 is a good buy as not many in good condition show their faces at, or below, that price. YMMV
  25. No $H!T - huh? Because there are so many Klipsch heads looking for items, advertised "deals" of such magnitude are either fake or sales occur almost instantly. Since $600 is NOT true market value, that particular sales data should not be used to determine your hard line "buy-in" price.
