  1. Selling a MiniDSP DDRC-22D room correction processor (with DIRAC) because I'd like to move up to a MiniDSP Flex.

This is a digital in / digital out unit, so you will need a DAC downstream of it.

To transfer the license and use DIRAC, you need to make an account with MiniDSP and then contact them with the serial # once you have the unit. The license stays with the hardware, and I don't need to be involved with that transfer.  Once you have the SN, you can transfer the license.

Includes unit, power supply, and remote.  UMIK not included.  I do not have the PC software required to sweep your room and load correction data into the DDRC-22D, but this should be available online.  Some cosmetic scuffs, see photo.

Asking $400.  Negotiable.  There are plenty of people on here that can vouch for me.

If I wasn't out of room, I'd keep 'em!

Recently retired and have to move my "stash" out of my work warehouse (slowly I hope). I have two pair of LSi, two pair of Heresy, two homemade pro subs....... plus gear. I will NOT fit in my garage.

You should've bought my house.  Good neighborhood, neighbors that like outdoor music, close to you, etc.

Yes he did.  Temporarily at Carolina Beach but just bought a house about 12 minutes from me.

True.  We're gonna see how pissed off the neighbors can get.  My strategy is my rugged La Scalas on wheels and toolbox audio system - if any of the 5 neighbors in the cul-de-sac want to have a party, they may borrow them.  Can't really complain about me if they're doing it too.

12 minutes?  It appears we are about 1 mile apart as the crow flies.

Oh, and about 3 more weeks here at the beach.

Beautiful day here 68 degrees, sunny, and a nice breeze.  Getting a few little items done.  Wish me well I'm going to lay off the booze for a bit to see if I notice a change in sleep/energy.

Yeah, I need to do that too.

  5. About 4 years ago, @Blackbird gifted me a pair of Heresy speakers in pretty darned good condition.  I listened to them often at work and a bit at home.  @MookieStl examined them and told me they were "1.5" editions.

I had to pay shipping from Florida to Missouri, but they were well worth that and even had the proper top and bottom shipping styrofoam to help them make a safe trip.

I agreed at the time to:

    • Pay shipping to receive them.
    • Give them a good home where they would be enjoyed.
    • Keep the shipping materials.
    • Offer them up when I was done with them with the same deal applying going forward.
    • No sales or gifts to anyone, they must be offered up here to the next recipient when you're done enjoying them.

You must be willing to accept the above terms and conditions.  There is no time limit on "done".  Just give them a good home and listen to them.  Ideally, you'll have them a while and pass the joy along someday.

I will accept PMs starting today, and I will make the decision on January 5th as to who they go to.  That person must provide a ship-to zip code (U.S. only, sorry) and be willing and ready to paypal the cost of the shipping on that day, providing that the amount isn't beyond your budget.  If the amount is too much for you, they go to the next person I choose.  This is not on a first-come first-served basis.  Replies to this thread are not being considered, only PMs.  On January 5th, I will announce here who gets them.

Tell me what speakers you have now, and why you'd like to own a set of Heresys.  Tell me why you should be the person that gets them next.  Tell me you agree to the terms.

My reputation here is solid; this is not a scam.  The original thread is here:

Saw them live 2 or 3 times.  Fantastic band.  Martin and Jim are great guitarists and play off one another often.  Rob Hirst is a monster drummer, and Peter is unusual but talented too.  RIP Bones Hillman.

  7. So sorry to hear of your loss.

I lost my dog last year.  After losing my wife in 2020, this dog was my constant companion.  I grew up with BIG dogs out in the country.  Imagine how I reacted when my daughter brought home a Chihuahua.  She didn't like men at all.  Turns out she was kicked and abused by a guy.  She hated me.

One day, she ran down the hallway into the living room and jumped onto the couch.  I was sitting there and she ended up in my lap.  She just froze and started shaking.  I thought, "Well, now, what do we have here?" and started talking to her.

I petted her and she kind of warmed up to me.  After that, the two of us had no more problems.  My daughter moved and of course "the dog will be better off staying here" so I accepted that.  She lived with my wife and I.

My wife got sicker and sicker and passed away in 2020.  This little dog and I were the only ones in this house and we became best friends.  She followed me everywhere.  We walked the hell out of this town and she LOVED car rides.

She was old.  Maybe 13 or 14.  She got sick and passed away.  I'd never have guessed I'd own a Chihuahua with the name she had.  I can honestly say she was the best dog I ever owned and I miss her every day.
