  1. @Marvel I think Rachael Price could make a lot of songs magical! This is one that I had on yesterday, sometimes I go through my records in this thread. It can soothe my frazzled nerves with the fact that I'm having to re-buy a lot of what I already own but probably is stolen from me out of hatred (from those "good people") that I wasn't born like them. Yep, get angry then I have to move on,. Help me Dan Dare!! *This one had to go a bit more loud. My fave by him... possibly
  2. Been unable to use my pc since it updated a couple days ago msft winblows destroyed my Eset AV, and it took hours to get that app up and running again. I trust Eset any day over msft. @MicroMara has been hitting the vinyl thread with no genre untouched lately! This one's for him and it's a bit different from the previous few. Mid 70s Coliseum & Stadium Rock w Soul would be a fitting genre for this one. I believe George has one with the original cover though! Another seriously underrated band from way back!
  3. Not really drool worthy hardware to me but it's still neato to a 70s kid! https://pro-jectusa.com/product/dark-side-of-the-moon-turntable/
  4. Converse to that idea @Dave1291 How fast does ice cream melt over Apple Crisp that's still over 300 degrees? https://postimg.cc/1gpZxVMV
  5. Love the Cult ! & There is Only One
  6. @Audioguy99 Yep, too much for an apartment even if you run it on the kitchen table! Is that a reflection on the upper right? One of these "tire-kickers" has the spare change... give some pertinent info!
  7. OK George & Paul, y'all know me well enough to know I did not take your comments as a sleight! With how well it worked for me after I got rid of that ort elliptical needle & cart I was just surprised. Did not notice it at all the last time that floating platter record player was talked about here! Love the almost @Full Range level radical aesthetics. It's George Jetson all the way!!
  8. I recall one particular big-block with a busted motor mount. Then those first little cars with sideways engines

    The Other Discs

While @Dave1291 is chillin on youtube, I'm going to go through my cds. Had this on on before I logged in, but geeze... lots of posts to go through. Chillin' over east here too!
  10. That tonearm is entry level now? It was fresh and hot when I got it on my Classic. Can not say if it was the sum of the parts or not but how's DEAD-QUIET for analog background noise with an AT33TG II Dual Moving Coil Microline!!
  11. Had that 80s or 90s record. If it had been the Jackson Five up there I bet you would have stayed. Their Motown sound was fantastic!!
  12. Felt awful the last couple weeks. New Rx that makes you grow green antennae and get purple polka-dots Love the original version I grew up with, but I've heard it a thousand times. Liked this variant from that eight hour Crossroads Festival on tv years ago! Open it up in another tab ... the whole show is great!
  13. Those two dog breeds are among the best on this planet! Among the most abused also. People are willful with propagating mass ignorance! Research what you're bringing home before you do it!! Chows were bred by war-lords in the feudal far east centuries ago. Genghis Khan kinda folks, to be good fighters and loyal. They will pick someone in the household to be loyal to and unless trained from younger than a month on can exhibit those bred in traits. Rottweilers are my favorite animal period. Don't get one from a rescue place when they're two years old. Like bulldogs and the aforementioned chows they are more likely to have had a bad human in their life! Lovable, obedient, protective and strong willed. Dalmatians need acres to run around, the two above need attention, plus running space. I've had all of the above for the short and long hauls!

    The Other Discs

Oldies but Goodies! Played one of these at the youtube thread the other week then saw: "Intervention worked for months with Universal's archive team, scouring the vaults in the US and UK for the best-sounding tapes. Several sets of tapes, including 1970s-era tape copies, were sent to mastering and evaluated by IR's Shane Buettner and Chris Bellman. The best-sounding tapes are 1/2" safety copies from the 1990s A&M Safety Program. The Wind of Change and Frampton safeties are sourced from UK Production Masters, while the Frampton's Camel safety is sourced from the Original Stereo Master. These tapes sound sensational, vibrant, detailed and alive. Combined with Chris Bellman's work at the board, and the superbly transparent mastering chain at Bernie Grundman Mastering, legions of fans will hear what Peter and the band really put on tape during this seminal period. Fans will hear bottom-end authority, dynamics and textural details never revealed on any previous edition." $ not $$ Thick, scalloped, deep cases not paper sleeves
