  1. Not for that price, no. Highly doubt someone here bought it.
  2. Ah come on, those are a BARGAIN used. Don't worry, the stock market is in your favor.
  3. Haha you know you have a, point there. I didn't even pay attention.
  4. You got me all wrong man. I spend money on what makes sense to me. I draw a hard line for getting that last 25% for an excess dollar amount. I have been trying everything I can afford in the heritage line. LA scalas or k horns are out as I do not have room for them. The rf7 III arrived today, but they have issues on quality.... They have to go back. Worst fit and finish I have seen from klipsch (and I have HAD MANY). I won't badmouth them at all and they will make things right in the end...

Hence I think the price to be right. A second one I believe would cost you $50 shipped from klipsch.
  6. Haha weird isn't it? I'm not a father as of yet (that I know of), but I experienced a similar trend with my brother. Little positive influence here and there certainly can't hurt. Strong work.
  7. What does the 1802 sell for out of curiosity? If that sub doesn't put a huge smile on one's face, I don't know what would.
  8. Parasound halo integrared and nakamichi PA 7.
  9. +1 on separates. Buy an older processor and or multi channel amp if it's in the budget. Headroom is your friend in that huge room. Second the more bass in the huge place comment as well.
  10. Very nice! I hope those sell quickly for you and I think they will.

Located in Lakewood, CA 90713 Hello all. I am giving away a FREE Forte III Grille Black. I don't have a box and as such, NO SHIPPING. There is no logo on the grille. Came that way. Yours for the taking.
  12. Haha no. I had them spaced 7 feet apart. Also based on shakeys advice, I found that plus or minus 18 inches from the back wall worked very well for solid, Extended bass in my room. Spaced about a foot from each side wall. That was the best sound I got from them in my room.
  13. I like em man. Good buy. I'm sure they will make great conversation pieces regardless of placement.
  14. No. I loved the Cornwalls and the heresys. I think it is the mid horn/crossover (my best guess). Also maybe my room didn't allow me to pull them far enough apart. Roughly 7 feet is all I had.
  15. Yes. I have them ample break in time at volume. Around 2k or so from what I remember would make me cringe more often than I cared to. I tried two different amps and cabling combos and the problem remained. Firing them straight as Shakey suggested helped a lot, but did not eliminate what I strongly disliked about them. Other than that, they were FANTASTIC speakers IMO.
  16. The mids, I'm guessing you love them or hate them based on my experience with them.
  17. Contact a company such as Audio Advisor and discuss your issues with a sales two to get another point of view. Electronics and cabling can be used to significantly flavor the sound of a system. My experience with tubes is that the can significantly smooth out a harsh pair of speakers and they allow tube rolling to tweak until your heart is content. Newer digital amps can be quite smooth as well. I agree to start at your amp. A new or different amp doesn't have to be expensive and may alleviate your problem (used or a great deal on new) . Good luck and hope you can fix your issues without dumping the speakers. I would FIRST ditch the yamaha receiver and go to an integrated Amplifier of whatever format you choose solid state, tube or digital. That allow Will make a substantial difference IMO.
  18. I had a pair of original stock RF7s years ago and loved them in spite of the fact that they were far from perfect. Wide spacing, component selection and firing straight ahead took them as far as they could go, but I did keep them for many years and moves before selling on.
  19. Sell em and get good money for them (pull the modded xovers out and replace with stock if you have them) . Contact @MetropolisLakeOutfitters and buy some RF7 IIIs. You will spend time and money middling them and may never be happy. Don't know what your budget is, but it sounds like you have already given missing those speakers a go and weren't happy with the end result. If that doesn't work for you, good luck on the modding, I can't help you there.
  20. Haha. Save money where you can. More money to spend on audio. I'm with you.
