  1. WHY did I know you were going to say that??? 😂 ✌️
  2. Happy Birthday Picky! Nice meeting you all last summer @ Neil's! Stay safe up there and looking forward to the next time! Eat more cake!
  3. Okies time for ni ni here. Stay safe everyone!
  4. Been in and out of both places many times but with someone else driving. Then again that was LONG ago and today? Ummm, nope not me. Has to be a nightmare. Last time I was in LA I couldn't wait to get outta Dodge. LF I know has a place in some "Tower's." Nice but small but the highlight of my stay there was bumping into porn king Ron Jeremy. Seems he also has or had a place there. That's been years ago. I backed away from him verrrrrry slowly watching his every move! lol
  5. Slipping into this box now. Eagles "Live at The Forum" with Deacon Frey playing in place of his Dad. Recorded in 2018 and just released I felt it was going to be special. I heard it was one of their best ever shows so yea... For a $90 4-lp investment initially it was a little disappointing. Regular old printed paper jackets for one and secondly lots of white/pink noise in the lead IN/OUT grooves. Come on man! Sonically though the first side and now the second side sound great. Nice and clean, crisp and detailed with an open sound stage. If you're not full after a 2 hour play and still need more you're in trouble. Sounds great though!
  6. Listening and yea I'd buy it again but if you hit youtube and listen to "Bad Trick," "Drink Til I See Double," "Outlaw Blood," "Fast Left Hand," those are all from his "Co-Starrring" LP that I have. Soooo shop 'em out brother! I'd love to spend your $$ but.... Your $$$! I like it though. Some renegade country imo! It'll fit quite nicely!
  7. He'll draw ya into side two... Side one highlight is the first track then the rest is good but when ya flip he kicks it into his mic'd up voice and sounds a lot like Dylan to me and it all just meshes so well. Lemme give it a second listen now and I'll fill ya in a bit more.
  8. Thinking it's Calvin Webster from first glance. He's from TX soooo maybe.
  9. @JohnJ I've heard RWH's stuff forever but had to pick it up since Joe & Ringo were on it. It's actually a great album and will totally draw ya into it. Lil foot stompin outlaw stuff! Thinkin it's time to warm things up and get into a bit of trouble here in the hood. 50's here and the neighbors are prolly glad my french doors are closed up! Thunkin it's gonna start getting cold while Paul is starting to warm up down under!
  10. Hey now Mister that's a heck of a way to recruit a newbie into our clandestine lil group! Just slip on in anytime Fido but remember DON'T TAKE CANDY FROM STRANGERS!
  11. Managed to watch a little football this afternoon and listen to a couple new LP's. Ray Wylie Hubbard's been around a loooong time but he's never given up. His latest release is actually pretty cool with the lead track having Ringo Starr on drums and Joe Walsh workin a lil magic. It's a funny kinda listen w/him sounding a lot like Bob Dylan both in the vocals and his style of play. Side 2 is the strange one for me... He really drew me into his music just like it's supposed to do. Left me wanting another listen but it's some good stuff if ya want to check it out. You'll be jammin before he's done! Another great tune of his from 2010... Snake Farm! This one was lost in the shuffle long ago. RSD #505 of 1k and it's still as good as ever!
  12. MWM's could be in my future but... You and your slippery slope comment years ago! 😂 ✌️
  13. A Schiit Mani was recommended to me by a friend who knows his Schiit so I went with it. Now I'm not a phono stage kinda guy but I want the most bang for my buck with any purchase. For $150 this lil thing cooks with my Linn table and PrimaLuna amp paired with my LS. The approach they're taking I think is a good move and seems to deliver from everything I've heard. Although I'll prolly never get away from gas it really makes me wonder if it's THAT good. Stellar reviews from what I've read and been told so it was nice seeing your post. Thanks!

  16. Gotta love Sticky Fingers but that "Thru the Past Darkly" LP has a bit of sentimental value to me. A Buck Sergeant had just come back from Nam and shipped his stereo back to Ft. Benning. Couldn't figure out where the smell of pot was coming from in the barracks so I walked down the hall and found the room. Kinda watched to see who had it. Remember the guys name started w/a Z but clueless. Seemed like a strange dude then one night he had that album on w/the door open so I walked down. First time I heard it and it sounded great on his system. Next thing I know he closed the door and pulled out a joint and offered it to me. Like pot? In the Barracks? Seriously? Talking jail? Ummm Nah! So he opened up the back of his big Sansui speakers and turned the light on. He sent back 4 speakers and each one was packed full of Thai stick, black tar opium and pot. This dude was NUTS but didn't really care about anything. He smoked every night until his ETS. Great album! hahaha
  17. Gettin into trouble again tonight! 😎 ✌️
  18. High noon Saturday in the Shoe on Fox John boy! Take notes!
  19. See how he worded that one too dtel? You got him though! Ha! I read that twice while listening to Joe & The James Gang... He's a sneaky one me thinks!
