  1. What is certain and agreed about covid19 is that we do not know everything about it’s pathogenicity. What has been demonstrated around the planet is deadly serious enough to warrant every effort to contain the virus. In America alone covid19 is clearly the most lethal disease since the 1918 influenza pandemic despite all that modern medicine has brought to bear. So the term ‘respect’ is quite understated. It is possible that in 30 years time many covid19 survivors could be suffering from cardiomyopathies, etc due to their single covid19 episode. Covid19 is truly something to avoid getting even once whether it kills you or not. When you hear ‘covid19’ think of a wolf pack shredding it’s prey. That is literally what covid19 does inside your body, to your cells. This is how it takes out organs and causes your own body to overkill with hyper immune responses. It is a very ugly virus 🦠 that’s highly contagious.
  2. Teachers refusing to wear masks or couldn’t??? They can use face shields instead and if they truly physically cannot tolerate a simple mask they need medical evaluation ASAP.
  3. Steve......merry birthday! Enjoy.......

  5. There isn’t much to discuss at this point. The critter is loose. I feared covid19 when it was 1st reported in China. Now I fear the stunningly stubborn stupidity of humanity and it’s not just an American phenomenon. All that’s remains is to observe.
  6. It’s all outside my acumen. I wondered about all of these very public anti mask protesters and whether they’d be exposing themselves to such scrutiny. I know that a business in violation of mask ordinances can face consequences so I see no reason why individuals should not face similar perils. I know that people intentionally trying to spread active covid19 disease have faced legal troubles.
  7. The question is more specific as to whether the policy required adherence to laws enacted for public health management. Another example would be not wearing a helmet in a state where helmets are required by law. In my experience the insurance industry finds any reason to void policies when claims are on the table. If you flagrantly violate a law and insodoing bring harm to yourself I could easily see the denial of benefits.
  8. Question - Many cities/states etc now have laws in place requiring that masks be worn in public places. And nearly all of those places have people willing to risk covid19 to preserve their choice to not comply with a mask ‘law’. Certainly some of those maskless souls have health insurance. The question is this: If someone who refuses to wear a mask in violation of the law contracts covid19 and requires costly care can their health insurance carrier deny them coverage (assuming the insurer knows this for certain)?
  9. A 1972 Cougar convertible, white on white with leather interior. Could not afford to get the timing belt replaced and let her go. She was sexy and quite the gas guzzler.
  10. Keep a basin wrench in your tool kit also. Same idea devised for hard to reach bolts that need to be tightened or loosened.
  11. Published research papers......
  12. In my experience there’s no single vacuum that gets all the pet fur off of rugs. Because I owned dogs and had kids I learned how to shampoo my own carpets which additionally removed deep fur/dirt. I have reasonable success with the Bissel brand of home carpet cleaner using ‘woolite’ shampoo products. For hard floors we broom/mop. Currently we use a ‘Shark’ vacuum and it works as well as the Dyson it replaced. If you have a parrot with fur call the media cuz it is unique and the world needs some interesting news, BTW welcome to the Klipsch forums.
  13. Mmmmmkay...... IMHO moderation here has become too sensitized. We seem to see very nuanced terms interpreted in their worst possible connotations. Additionally it would appear that these moderated interpretations are ‘lensed’ through the eyes of the moderator and their individual biases are periodically evidenced. They may as well change the guideline from what not to discuss but what can be discussed. It would be clearer to say - discuss only the mundane things in life and nothing of importance. So here goes.... I like chocolate.

    Jokes?

Wonder if she’d be this perky with an endotracheal tube stuffed down her throat?
  15. I’m a guessing ‘no’.......
  16. Don’t know where to post useful covid19 information..... so I’ll do it here for the time being (if that’s alright). https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-07-21/first-covid-vaccine-may-be-approved-in-2020-eu-regulator-says?utm_campaign=pol&utm_medium=bd&utm_source=applenews
  17. It has arrived here from somewhere better. It was nicer 10 years ago because 10 years ago a great many other people participated...... and many left of their own volition. Without that diversity the discussions tend to crust over often at the will of a handful of posters.
  18. IMHO Klipsch corporate stopped being a ‘family’ a while back. So family discussions are not an integral part of their business interests any longer. If we become too raucous they pull the plug. Despite our past purchases and devout product loyalty we’re more trouble than were worth (at times). It sad on all sides.
  19. Some perspectives on the issues.... https://abcnews.go.com/Health/seniors-put-risk-children-return-school/story?id=71879021
  20. Nice pics. Pulled out the binocs last night and took a look see. She’s pretty dim now but still a good show.
  21. .......... oh good grief!!
  22. More new and interesting covid19 treatment news. This is modern medical science at its best. https://www.theladders.com/career-advice/researchers-just-made-a-startling-discovery-about-this-nasal-spray-and-covid-19-treatment
  23. My point was that apparently some covid19 skeptics need to see dead bodies littered all about to believe that folks are actually dying - like at Dachau. Then some still wouldn’t believe it.
  24. Okay here’s an idea. Folks who deem masks unnecessary can apply for a mask ‘waiver’ permit. Any excuse will be accepted. You will be sent a form to complete that will need to be notarized. There you will acknowledge that you’ve been properly advised about covid19 and it’s consequences and why masks are a critical part of trying to contain the spread of the virus. By choosing to ignore these warnings and to be allowed to not wear a mask you accept that you will forgo medical treatment for covid19. By extension your immediate family will also not receive treatment for covid19. Family data will be taken from the latest census. Once completed you will be given a laminated plastic badge with your picture and a lanyard. It’s to be worn everywhere you go and no one will deny you entrance. And the data base will be sold to the mortuary industry to raise funds for covid19. Oh, you also have to agree to institutionalized isolation if you should contract the disease (that supposedly does not exist). There. Now people can choose for themselves in complete confidence of their certain knowledge about infectious diseases.
  25. The horse left the barn long ago on covid19 sickness so more misery and death is sadly commonplace and geographically disseminated. And still too, too many remain skeptical. Guessing they need to see wholesale covid19 dead a la Dachau before it sinks in. It is too easy to lay blame on leadership when in fact it is America that is failing itself. It is embarrassing.
