  1. Won't approve your post unless you remove the link. Can't see what it point to and we don't approve first posts with links unless we can read clearly what they point to. To dangerous to follow them. Once your first post is approved, review the Terms of Service and then repost the link if you are certain it meets the TOS and you are in no way connected with it. Regards, Dave
  2. And all Bose products. Dave
  3. Unable to visually verify where your link pointed and we don't have time to follow them all. Please remove it and I will approve your post. After the first one you may restore the link if you are certain that it does not violate the TOS. Regards, Dave
  4. Your going to be a bit disappointed, but they will sell for more than he paid for them. Dave
  5. Edited your post as the link to a service you work for is not allowed. Read the TOS. However, your info IS important and you are free to contact anyone by Private Message and provide links or services there. Good luck and good to have you. I am a Crown lover having purchased a pair of Crown 800 R2R decks in the 70s at my first job. Lord, I'd love to have that thing now! Dave
  6. Man. M-80s, cherry bombs, Texas busters...such fun in my youth. We learned about danger the same way soldiers learn about surviving...by doing. Yes, even as a kid I knew an M-80 was a quarter stick of dynamite and treated it accordingly. I recall a friend of mine thinking it would be good fun to put one under a tin can. I said it was probably not a good idea, but he insisted. I move WAY off, and he about 10 feet. It totally blew the can to pieces and one bit of shrapnel gave him about a one inch slash just above the eye. We also had firecracker wars. A cherry bomb went down one of my friends shirt. He jumped up and by luck his shirt hung on a barbed wire fence and the bomb fell out. Could have severely injured him or worse. Life was different then. We had the freedom to learn the hard way. Dave
  7. Old enough to be historic rather than political. I have often said that ALL the states lost the Civil War as Abe totally trampled the Constitution and it never recovered. His response to the Supreme Court: "They've made their decision. Now let them enforce it." Dave
  8. Even though it is not, "ignorant" is generally considered a pejorative. Elementary school students are ignorant of calculus, but that doesn't mean they are mentally deficient. And, yes, uninformed would be a better choice as it implies nothing except the individual has not been exposed to something (aside than Covid 😁). Dave
  9. Good job. All that is required. Adding that, if everyone took this action against a personal attack, we'd have a MUCH easier time. If one cannot contain it, take it to PM. Dave
  10. Should have said "quoted." Dave
  11. I think everyone has been pretty cordial after being called out on crossing a very wide line that has been offered, given the current circumstance we're dealing with. We're lucky that we can complain and object with different points of views on this here. I do not lock a thread unless the OP started it in violation of TOS. If necessary, posts will be hidden and action taken against individual contributors, but I won't lock it. In this, I do not necessarily reflect all mods, but I have tried to influence them to act the same way as I feel locking a thread reflects poorly on the original poster and those who follow the TOS in their posts. Dave
  12. THAT is the Civil War I was referring to. 😁 Dave
  13. Agreed. Except there is no fight worse than when a family comes UNGLUED. Civil War is the most notable illustration. Dave
  14. Appreciated. It is hard to moderate, even harder with old friends of many years. Dave
  15. Knock off. SP quit responding, Deang quit making it personal. Disagree, but only by stating your own position and why, not the cheap shot of "ignorant." Point out logical fallacies all you want, but do not question others IQ's, origins, or whatever. This thread has been tolerated because the subject matter is important. Don't count on it, though, if ANYONE posting here cannot simply "respectfully disagree." No action now, but expect some if all cannot keep it OT and non personal. Dave
  16. No, in China it is dangerous to express other than a single acceptable political position...like it is here...except there only one position allowed and we are arrayed against each other in two colors that hate each other. Most civilized democracies are not this way. Most everyone supported FDR in this country and Winston Churchill in Great Britain during the war regardless of their vote before and after. In Churchill's case, he was voted out of office but still honored as the hero of the war. That's fine and appropriate. There, folks are loyal to country first and to a party second, way second. As Max2 says, discussing religion or politics in polite company was rude the first part of my life. Whole point of the secret ballot. Politics OR religion then COULD be discussed if a person expressed concern about such things to another...but only then. Not even the most determined opponent of a President would express disrespect except before an election or after. Most all were the "loyal opposition." It is about the office, not the person who occupies it. Dave
  17. What I said. If you have an issue with the government, you have an opportunity coming up soon to change it. If it does not go your way, remember we may have a number of political viewpoint, we have only one country and it is ours to lose together. For much of my life, opposing parties not in power referred to themselves in most civilized countries as the "loyal opposition." That, along with the equally dead "Disagreement doesn't mean disrespect" have passed in this country. We need it back or we will perish. One of our leaders said "A house divided against itself cannot stand." THAT is why politics are no longer allowed here and will never be tolerated until we return to civilized behavior. Dave
  18. Some of this content is on the line both as politics and as personal attacks. Mods are very busy right now and don't have time to comb 6 pages....but hiding, warning, and moderated posting will occur if you folks don't self police. (Written from my bunker) Dave
  19. Not as bad as it seems? Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of oilfield workers who will be laid off, and the drilling companies that will fail. Puts us back on the OPEC udders until barrel prices get back to at least 50.00. My old employer, HPIDC, will be toast, I am betting. Dave
  20. So grateful to work for the USAF! Don't think we will shut that down...
  21. WTI at -37.00 a barrel. Lowest price EVER in history. No place to put it. Expect the Feds to start refilling the strategic reserve. Perhaps the only good thing that will come of this.
  22. My God! Oil down 91% TODAY? Last time it was that low was 1947. This is NOT good news for anybody. Yes, almost free gas for a while, but this may well be the harbinger of a great depression, 2.0. The Feds and states may decide that there will be more deaths from a destroyed economy than from opening the economy prematurely.
