  5. That's too bad btw, you mispelled excrement Try not to let it get to you, they will see that as anger building inside of you and we don't want that now do we Peace, Josh
  6. PS2 That is what I have to say about all this X-BOX nonsense I do think HALO is a great game btw, just not as good as tribes(on pc). Peace, Josh
  7. Way to go on the house. That's quite an investment. I think m00n is right, the HT will come. Just be patient Peace, Josh
  8. I'm not sure where to find those type of plugs in particular. It seems a lot of older NAD integrateds I see in the pawn shops are always missing them. I'm pretty sure a regular rca patchcord would work, although this would be a bit longer than what you need. Peace, Josh
  9. A friend of a friend got the same set for $0.40 That sounds like some nice Jazz. *edit* I might have made a typo *edit* Peace, Josh
  10. jt1stcav, Those are some nice pics. It's too bad you had to sell some of your gear, hopefully you will be able to look back at this as merely a bump in the road on the waty to the top. I would hate to have to sell off my stereo equipment, but I have to admit even the klipsch would go long before my Taylor acoustic guitar. btw, I like the new avatar Peace, Josh
  11. I don't think I have any mono records, but I do have a mono seeting on my receiver and I don't get any noticable interference. Theoretically I guess we should hear some cancellation at work but I have never noticed it. Not that I go around listening to everything in mono all the time. Btw max, you warned me a month or two ago that vinyl was addictive. Not that I really doubted you but I have come to see you were right. My latest record is Leo Kottke's 1973 live album "My Feet Are Smiling" Some beautiful and nearly unbelievable acoustic guitar playing. Peace, Josh
  12. At the rate I'm going by the time I do get married(if that happens) I will have so much stuff she will just have to accept it Of course I say this and then lynnm's story comes to mind Peace, Josh

So, playing a tune at moderate level would have a completely different tone structure than the same tune at loud level. I always found that annoying. mdeneen ---------------- I think this is actually the case with most peoples ears. This is something that good audio engineers will take into account when mastering an album. But then there are those albums that don't seem to have been mastered at all Peace, Josh

  16. It Never Bothered Me That Much. Kinda Like Reading A Column In A Newspaper. P e a c e , J o s h
  17. Orlando FL. Bit of a drive to hear Dales setup Peace, Josh
  18. It seems to me that Doug has found a surefire way to avoid hum. Peace, Josh
  19. I have tone controls and I don't use them. Also I've gotten to the point when listening to music where >90% of the time I dislike feeling the bass, maybe I should just buy some cans and be done with it. For steak I prefer Heinz 57 over A1. When it comes down to it though I prefer a good steak without any embellishment. Peace, Josh
  20. Too bad about the organ thing. I had a spare brain you could have had. Now it looks like I will be needing it for college. Peace, Josh
  21. A different avatar, a different sig. I'm stunned. Peace, Josh
  22. Hofy, I used to live outside of madison as a little kid and I remember there being numerous polka stations on the am dial. Have the times changed so much that even the polka stations have gone the way of the buffalo or is the pursuit of the oompah oompah on the airwaves a pastime in which you do not partake?? OH how I remember the joy that came from listening to the radio as a little kid. And the times I spent fishing along the crawfish river... my but that is some beautiful country up there. Peace, Josh
  23. Three would do it for me also. Vinyl, CD, Tuner. The Tuner I actually listen to a whole lot because of WUCF which is the college jazz station of the University of Central Florida. Obviously for me this is in an idealized theoretical system where I would have seperate two channel and HT gear. But then again, what would I know about a two channel setup? I'm using a Sony Playstation2 as my cd/dvd player. Peace, Josh
  24. Rock on Dude, Once again Congrats on the speakers. I will try not to be too green with envy of someone at your age having those speakers. Btw, we have the same center channel, although I hardly ever use mine. Due to the guys up there in two channel land I have been rethinking my setup. This is saturday right?? Later today you should be able to really crank those bad boys up. Just let us know what you think. As it stands I have never heard any of the reference series Just some LaScalas and Heresies and that KS-SC1 Peace, Josh
