  1. Historians & Advisors, Looking to create an Audio Experience. I know this will be a process. So, I sent to the manufacturing address a CD. The reason for the CD is to find the sound produced by HERESY II’s and determine if later H Series are able to provide the same Listening experience. Tomorrow I will send another CD to the Historical Museum as I am understanding by reading here; that, the museum houses those versions of speakers and that the Advisors can be reached at that Historical address. I just picked-up 16 weeks of movie theater advertisements and as that ends in September 2024. I would like to have a HERESY II system in place to integrate movie theater 5.1 Surround Sound fixed speakers systems. With the HERESY II down front providing the details. My thinking is the mix could gel nicely, even without an actual 5.1 recording. They can be, of course, mixed in 5.1. That would be cut on DVD not CD. Anyways, the album submissions this year will be to every prize, award, available this year and next. So, renting a movie cinema theater for a day or two should pay for themselves. Getting the music onto campuses will be a full tour in and outside of the Continental U.S.. So, this can become a thing. Fast. I’m not seeking an endorsement deal. I’m prying as to whether your installation services are capable of doing temporary installation services? Same thing you already do, except you take with you everything you brought. I will be sending a CD to the CARNEGIE LECTURE HALL. In Pittsburgh. I’ll give you a few days or a week before I mail it off.
  2. cassette. LOL. I am talking to Korea about that very thing. Reel 2 reel too. I have to make a few of those for a project I am working on. Anyone know how to speak and or write in Korean? Just asking.
  3. @Schu lots of good advice. You are gonna get an all too well informed opinions on which and what. If I may ask a question. I agree the curve to getting your head on straight with any new addition. everything comes at a cost. My question is this: all of your old bad habit are going to carry over onto this camera. If you only use less than 4 of the dial options for photographing your subject matter. Than, I would agree that money on a new format camera may be more than needed. If you already have a camera and do not use camera rings for your existing photography. you are missing out on the micro of still photography and spending hours in the atrium and bird sanctuaries. if you are shooting live birds and you have shots where there are bars or cage wire in your photos then, you have not learned about moire. Moire is the checkered suits on television that move as the camera reports the news. happens with ties too. Point being is that, the cure often enough is a low pass filter. photographing birds behind chicken wire on LOWPass filter removes moire. voila your photograph just became very close and very personal without moire. My biggest thing to give to you is to visualize the basics. exceed your own regular usage and gain a perspective from a class on new digital that explains medium formats. Get your camera in hand and take a tour and get the feel and knowledge of how. Then, decide. unless you are like me and you like the deep end. I say go for the fuji. uniqueness is key. I had Nikon. my check-up/repair took months, add in a hurricane and delay in shipping. a basic routine cleaning could blow through your timeline on receiving your functional camera back. More importantly. what I got back was a different camera. I gave it up. So few people go full frame. new adapters now. can get wonderful detail and amazing quality off digital backs. just fyi.
  4. @Abomb Bobby Jarzombek School Quite technical. clean notes and soft touch. Not my kind of drummer. He is probably one of the best. He seems young in this video. he has certainly grown and developed since. for that I have no doubt. Issue if any. Moves in a straight line. Start and stops are generally same. Notes are not 4/4 or subsets of that throughout music. timing alterations of soundscape and backwards and forwards skills are underutilized here. biggest issue if any. He isn't jamming. He is pausing waiting for a note to start hitting things. Traveling in sound is getting off to it. Flowing. His is brickish. again technical and cold. IMHO. Mark Zonder - side by side (Fates Warning) Opeth - Master's Apprentice or even Pearl Jam - 10 That album has what no other PJ album has. IMHO I mean to feel it and get there, drum playing. Listen to the first 10 seconds of King Diamond - Abigail. You know the journey you are about to go on.🤐
  5. How is the album? I hate to ask. Those guys are from FATES WARNING. Nice to see! For the longest time my favorite band hands down. For whatever reason John left the band. For whatever reason Master Drummer Mark Zonder left the band. I just hit YOUTUBE. Heard a few pieces. Mixed feelings. 😑
  6. why would you let your cable hang like that? nice set up. but, that cable could be doing something else besides hanging around like that. IMHO.
  7. This just played while I was typing the above video details. Wow! The track has words. "I can loose myself. You I can't live without." Powerful stuff Back when he could scream out and make the words wrench tones and tension.
  8. This album has a few things to say. Money well spent. I should get it on vinyl.. hmm. For you Married guys. I'm gonna do you a favor. Call the wife into the room for a dance. Stand at first position and wait to press play. If you listen to it first. You will ruin your own surprise. Here's to wishing you the best! ...and you are welcome.🫠
  9. Similar concerns. Instead I made an album that I really, really enjoy. Music or should I say - Sound; rhythmic. Has become for many a gambit. A way of showing the revolutions in a world that stands still. As if standing still were so uncomfortable? Traditions? Culture? Heritage? Innate tribalism without an apology. One time, I watched a grown man knock over kids getting to the dance floor. Man, that Polka music is something else. True Story! It happens from time to time. People who gyrate with an option to say something so keen that you want for them to do it again. That is music. The translation of our feelings in ways we haven't felt yet. The knowing of our interests. Our associations to Greatness are not fleeting. Ramble on!
  10. Mikael Akerfeld was so nice on this album. This and DELIVERANCE they recorded simultaneously. I gave that and Blackwater Park much play in my Amigo.
  11. ALIENWARE MK17 r2 LAPTOP, NATIVE INSTRUMENTS MASCHINE MK3 AND N48 KOMPLETE CONTROL KEYBOARD. STUDIOLOGIC FULL SCALE KEYBOARD, SONNET CHASSIS WITH AN RME HDSPE AIO SOUNDCARD AND SAMSUNG FLATSCREEN
  12. @GWSmith Nice!
  13. believe it or not. There are people in the world who do not know there is a difference in maple syrup. I had this conversations with Kara over are Friendly's over breakfast a few days ago. She is the shift manager there. I was in a local cooperative market. I had a taste test a few years back. Laughed when I seen them offering plastic spoons of syrup. Anyhow, I had some. I stopped laughing. I have since become serious about my maple syrup. Grats on your process. 3 jars. Nice! G.
  14. The live version. Haha. double necked guitar in D not A minor as the song is written in. The guitar is tuned funky. The other neck is in standard tuning. The other thing is Bonzo is not in 4/4 he is making triplets in a whole different timing that resembles 4/4/ looks more like - triplet for two bars, triplets for two more bars, 4/3 for two bars, with a 4/4 at the close. Its insane, how his timing is counted x,x,Y, and 4 you can hear it without vocal (stairway lies on the whispering wind..) and at the bridge. iirc for the live version.
  15. I was just about to post this. I am glad I took a look first. Someoen said. Pompeii hasn't changed. My response is: oh, yes it has: David Gilmour's version is far more complete. I can and have only listened to this one track. It is so good that I have all but, stopped listening to the original and or versions that are not this. Problematic. I know. Riddenour on the High G. The bass its transformational the cymbals crashs' are like the frolicking of feet on the water. The bass is like the jellyfish or dolphin beneath the water tickling the feet of the runner as they splash into a carnival of sound that terraces itself in transitions of three (triumvirate). The wandering bass is one. The frolicking bass is two. Then there is the solo. Its all resets again, and again. The drum not possessing bass floor tom for grounding the sound. It remains airy, aloft, aloof almost. Each part signaling a section of itself; as, yet, becoming and then is. Powerful. A big tent with kaleidoscopic features (astronimae Dominae 'ish in its presentation) where the carousel triggers a larger tent. Then, an even greater one. That very large tent houses the guitar. That guitar holds the truth of the solo. The solo that has not changed in over forty years.
  16. A few years back I did a security gig. They were the main act among several stages and days of acts. It was the final day and a Brewery owner, Master brewer and Master Brewer's wife had the good fortune to have me escorting them beyond the ropes, up close. Like, at the stage inside the barricades. They were eye level to stage monitors. The wife she blew a gasket. That guitar and those vocals. Could not blame her one bit. I drank the brewer's beer. Cheers!
  17. we spoke about Jimi Henrix, as well. Interesting hearing it from the man himself.
  18. I met and spent a moment or two with the King Family and took in a show at a major U.S. City. My pass gave me access and I remember that a woman from Ohio asked me to go and get a Picture of Mr. King on stage. I said, O.K.. I took the camera and walked near the stage and popped off a few shots. Mr. King was playing and stopped smiled and waved to the camera. I certainly took that picture, too. Returning the camera to the woman, who hugged me and pummeled me and hugged me again. She was over the moon excited about her picture. I thought it was really cool that Mr. King did that too. Later, I spoke to Mr. King backstage and I remark on his cherished statements about his Dear friend. I listened and he spoke with a warm caring for this man. His name was : Garth. His video is above: Garth Brooks - Shameless. I am appreciative of that day, the opportunity, and all that came from it. Here's to one of the best LEGENDS to be so revered and well thought of - Mr. B.B. King
  19. Thank you @JohnJ
