Moderators Youthman Posted October 29, 2009 Moderators Share Posted October 29, 2009 Just saw this Synergy system for sale for $3900. Says he paid $8500 for it. I doubt that setup is worth $3900 even when new. Link

CECAA850
$1000.00 for the speakers and receiver, $7000.00 for the Monster Power center. Sounds about right.
willland
Hey Youthman, I saw that one too. I don't think all of which he is selling adds up to $3900.00 msrp. If he did pay that much, I think it was the Monster gear "markup" where he was taken a ride. Sounds like a Kirby Vacuum Cleaner or Rainsoft Water Softener pitch that he is trying to sell us. Moderators Youthman Posted October 31, 2009 Author Moderators Share Posted October 31, 2009 He now has listed the items with individual pricing. Not only is he trying to get premium pricing, he can't add. Link
mistermoravec
Yeah, it is cheaper to buy everything individually. Even if he meant 'each' every time he wrote both, you'd still save 25 bucks buying everything individually from him... I recently bought a similar speaker setup, exchanging the b3s for 4 s3s, for only 1400 shipped. I monopriced all the cables and wires and spent less than 200 including 26 sets of banana plugs. I bought a brand new receiver for a grand. That leaves more than 5 thousand for a universal remote, a glorified surge protector, and an upscaling dvd player. Seriously, I could probably get all of that, a new led tv, and still be left with a couple thousand. 8500 is way too much to spend on synergy speakers.
