RICK VALLEJOS
Sorry about the dumb question but what does this mean and can I do it to my RF 7s? What does it do exactly? Thank You
jacksonbart
I am pretty sure only his wife knows. Here is a link to his membership details http://community.klipsch.com/members/DeanG.aspx
kelA
DeanG is a forum member who modified the crossover network in the Rx7 models. I believe it is suppose to tame the harshness that some find with those models.
Arky
I believe it's a phrase I coined. I was too lazy to continually write-up the improvement in sound from using better crossover parts. It smooths out the 7's while keeping them a little edgy unlike the 83's, imo. My rc-7 saw the most improvement in clarity & detail. I've since decided I like the heritage sound better, so I no longer own them. You can search for numerous threads on the topic.

RICK VALLEJOS
How do I go about doing it to mine?
CECAA850
Remove them and send them to Dean. There's no DIY, step by step instructions that I know of. If you want to DIY, I believe he replaces everything on the HF board with higher quality components of the same value and adds an extra 10 Ohm resistor to the notch circuit (parallel to the existing 2 Ohm one).
