Jakeg123
There are a pair of RF-5s on C-list for $400. Is this a no-brainer?
Thaddeus Smith
depending on the condition, sounds like a good deal. What you going to do with them? (is this an impulse buy, or do you really have a need for them)
Thaddeus Smith
edit: forgot you were looking to replace your surrounds.. if youve got the space, they would most certainly work as fantastic surrounds.

RF-5's should be the main speaker in his set-up, not surrounds. Yes, RF-5's are excellent speakers and that would be a great price.
Jakeg123
It would actually be more of an impulse buy. I just purchased RS-42 for my surrounds (I couldn't get the RB-61s, they would be to close to the rear seats and they would not sound good.). Unfortunately, I am only 14 and my parents wont let me get the RF-5s.[]

You have a system far superior to most people I know... and I'm nearly 28 with a wife telling me no more speakers or a/v gear for a year, so it doesn't end
Moderators Youthman Posted December 28, 2009 Moderators Share Posted December 28, 2009 You totally had me beat at 14. I had a "boom box". [] I bought my first Pioneer "receiver" and Technics speakers when I was probably 16 and got my first job.
