Matthews
I am running a pair of RF-7's with an Adcom 5400 (125 wpc). Last night I picked up a Yamaha M-80 (250 wpc) on e-bay. It was suggested I need to install in line fuses between the Yamaha and Klipsch. Is this something I need to consider? If so, where is the best place to find needed items (Radio Shack)? I will be using everything the Yamaha can give and dont want to damage my treasured Klipsch. Thanks for your time...
dollar bill
Edited because I can keep my comments to myself, still chuckle on the inside and nobody gets hurt.

djk
I would use an AGC2A fuse. You can buy fuses and holders at RS.
thefluffy
How do you like your new Yammie compared to the Adcom? Daniel
Matthews
Darn it, new amp does not arrive until Monday. Waitiing patiently until then. Im pretty excited though, gonna be a long few days. Johnlw7
The M80 will blow the Sadcom away.i,ve used the m series for years.Alot of bang for the buck.very stable amps.
Frzninvt
The 7's are pretty robust I don't think an in-line fuse would be necessary unless you plan on running the amp into clipping. Otherwise they'll take the clean 250W all day.
CECAA850
My RF-7's have been running on 325wpc for well over a year with no fuse. I've not had an issue yet even though they are pushed pretty hard at times.
Matthews
Thanks for the opinions guys! I am very much looking forward to compare the two amps. Matthews
I like the way John has put it. The M-80 will blow the Sadcom away. I like the idea that the predator has now become the prey...
thefluffy
I am curious of the comparison. I don't own the m-80 but I do own two m-60s. I absolutely love them. I'm sure the m-80 won't disappoint. Daniel
