Moderators dtel Posted March 1, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 1, 2010 I don't know why or how my name was picked, I had nothing to do with it.......but glad it was. I don't gamble....but I may try next time I am at the casino. The only reason we go there is I like the food, and I never loose when it comes to eating. Moderators dtel Posted March 1, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 1, 2010 i think PWK adopted Dtel and that has been a well kept secret. I wish, Christy has a Klipsch license plate on her jeep, someone asked what if someone thinks that's your last name ? I will say yes it is, I am the relative Fred Klipsch does not talk about or claim. [Y] " elden, did Amy tell you that by accepting the headphones, you must pass on the cornwalls to somebody--preferably me! " No she did not say anything, but it would not be a hard choice. Moderators Amy Posted March 1, 2010 Author Moderators Share Posted March 1, 2010 I don't know why or how my name was picked, I had nothing to do with it..... Well, I can tell you... I put all the topics received (I believe it was 112) in an excel spreadsheet, sorted them alphabetically backwards, sent an email to my cube neighbor asking her to pick a number from 1-112. She picked 111, which just so happened to be dtel, since his started with "Appropriate...". So there you go. I told her "nicely done." Thank you Amy, and for the explanation, you sure went through a lot of trouble to make it fair, I didn't mean to imply anything else.....I couldn't fix the results if I wanted to. Moderators dtel Posted March 23, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2010 Sorry for being so late to post something but we have been VERY busy with company and working on a new room. I was sent the headphones and to my surprise it was the Image X5, I was not expecting this model to be honest. I love them, I did not have any headphones and it has been years since I last owned even the over the ear style and they were not a really good sounding set. I was very surprised at the difference in modern well made headphones. Well I am not going on saying the normal things like " I can hear things I have not heard before ", but I did ! They are very clear and detailed and not having in ear headphones before there is a difference for the better. There is one thing I noticed, I keep saying " just one more song " and I will get back to work, and I end up listening for another hour. They really sound good and are comfortable enough to wear for long periods, you forget there on. The bass is great but the midrange and high frequencies are unbelievable, the overall sound is perfect to my ears. After years of noisy jobs my ears are far from perfect and then add in my age 52 and no matter how good a speaker is some sounds are not as clear from a speaker that is across the room, and I am not just talking about the normal high frequency loss from age. But with these in ear headphones it must be helping with some of that, I seem to be hearing the music in much more detail and clarity and I have not turned them up very much at all so it's not volume. Overall they are very comfortable and sound great, I need to get something portable so I can use them outside and other places. I like them more than expected and wanted to say Thank You Klipsch and Amy for these headphones, they will get used alot.
Arky
I need to get something portable so I can use them outside and other places. Get an iphone & dump your MWM's, fortes, cornwalls, heresy's......[6]
Moderators Amy Posted March 23, 2010 Author Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2010 Thank You Klipsch and Amy for these headphones, they will get used alot. Moderators dtel Posted March 23, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2010 Get an iphone & dump your MWM's, fortes, cornwalls, heresy's...... I don't want anything that has a phone connected, it's going to be something easy to operate and have good sound, and simple like me, just not as old as me, that would require tubes and mono. [A] These little headphones sound really good but I think I will keep the other speakers, just in the case I break or loose the headphones................. sounds like a good excuse to me. Moderators dtel Posted March 23, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2010 You're welcome, and thanks so much for the feedback It's was not really much feedback, but I will say I have heard Klipsch's best speakers and other companys best and to say they sound great is really something. It's hard to compare headphones to a speaker which has to fill a room with sound. Also going out to listen to live music at least twice a month we know what live and well reproduced music should sound like, and with the Image X5 you get that live sound which is not an easy thing to reproduce. I can't compare them to other headphones because I have not tried any, and feel no need to now, the X5 sounds perfect to me.
